I have had a very positive experience under Dr. Egan's care. In late January I went to see her after suffering no less than 3 serious sinus infections in less than two months - on top of enduring chronic sinusitis my whole life. She listened to me babble and explained to me in a very succinct manner what the best course of action would be - in this case, balloon sinoplasty. She performed the procedure less than a week ago and I've had one follow-up already. The results have been amazing for me. In other words, I can breathe and I'm not snoring at all (even with the normal, expected post-surgery swelling). My wife has said she's barely heard a peep out of me since last Wed. Additionally, Dr. Egan's staff is quite accommodating and friendly and I haven't had any issues with scheduling, billing, etc. Prior to the surgery, her office made sure to check with my insurance that everything was 100% covered, which it was. At no time did I ever feel like I was being given the hard sell or prescribed something unnecessary. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Egan to anyone who needs a well-qualified ENT. After reading the one star reviews, I felt I had to set the record straight. Some of the reviews on Yelp criticized Doctor Egan's bedside manner. Other reviewers said an appointment was not available when needed. I suffer from sinusitis caused by dry sinuses. In the past, whenever I got a cold the aftermath was sinusitis. Every time. When sinusitis hits, the head pain is unbearable. I went to so many other ENT's with no luck. I had to wait weeks for an appointment to see all of the other ENT's. All of the other ENT's just told me what great doctors they were, charged a ton of money and did absolutely nothing to help my sinusitis. So, my wife and I started searching on line and found Doctor Egan. I called her office and got an appointment within 2 days. Doctor Egan may not be warm and fuzzy enough for some of the Yelp reviewers, but who cares? Doctor Egan is polite, caring and professional. But here is the kicker. Doctor Egan is the first and only ENT to ever help my sinusitis. I recently got over a cold, and with Doctor Egan's help I had no sinusitis at all. And she charged one tenth of what the other ENT's charged. read more

Insurance Fraud! Same thing happened to me. I got billed for medical procedures which never happened. I called doctor's office, they refuse to cooperate. Filing insurance fraud now. Everyone who experience this with this doctor should open insurance fraud investigation with their health insurance. It's not hard, it opens up the opportunity for truth to come out. I visited Mrs Egan office to have my ears cleaned recently after having read many of the reviews I was apprehensive about going to her office. I read a review that said she doesnt spend much time with you so I made sure I asked questions so all of my interest were covered. I specifically ask Mrs Egan about having an infection because of pain after she was done cleaning my ears. She told me there was no infection but I noticed she didnt look really good to make sure. After 1 week the pain had not subsided and now has clear fluid running out. I called and explained this to JACKIE who is very rude as the office manager. I explained that something was missed in my 150.00 cash payment visit and my ears are infected. JACKIE told me I needed to pay for another visit. I explained to her that I was there less than a week ago and something was missed because the pain has never stopped. But i remembered Mrs Egan answer was quick having not looked to really see she came in the room cleaned my ears and never really checked to see if there was an infection possible in existence. So now they want me to pay another 150+ less than a week later to get a diagnosis that should have been made when i was there originally. JACKIE was very rude and told me I had to pay and the Doctor was going to want a payment and HUNG UP IN MY FACE. I guess paying attention to the reviews was important I tried to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt and now I have a negative review as well. I had the same experience as Bettina T. Was in her office for less than five minutes. She tried to give me antibiotics WITHOUT EVEN EXAMINING ME. When I refused and ended the appointment, I then received a bill for $200 after I paid my $30 co-pay. Figured the $30 would cover the five minutes of her time, but she apparently felt otherwise. When I refused to pay it and sent a letter explaining why, she sent my bill to collections as well. Horrible doctor and horrible experience. Borders on negligent. read more

Dr. Egan helped me with my allergies and sinus issues. She listens well and gives her honest opinions. She performed my deviated septum surgery and did a good job! When I had concerns and questions the next day, she called me back immediately. My post op appointments have always gone well, and come to think of it, all of my appointments are very smooth. I don't have to wait at all and the staff is really nice there. I highly recommend Dr. Egan if you have sinus issues/a deviated septum/allergies/etc! read more

The woman in the billing dept is extremely rude and unprofessional. She hung up on me when I was trying to resolve my billing issue. I mailed them my payment and they never applied it so they sent me to collections. When I called the office back, they told me to stop calling and hung up again. I left a message for Dr. Egan to call me and I would imagine the receptionist never gave her the message since it has been over a week and I have not received a call back. After reading the other reviews on Yelp, clearly Dr. Egan has staff issues that she needs to address. read more

We had such a great experience with my 1 year old son that needed tubes in his ears. Dr. Egan was amazing.

HONESTLY.... This office does NOT even deserve one star!!! When I went into the office for my visit, Vanessa (recept) immediately told me that she ran my benefits and that their office visit would be $150...and if any procedure is done it will be a charge of $200, that my specialty office visit of $35 didnt apply and that it would go towards my deductible. Dumb me, I paid it thinking worst case senario, it will be applied to my deductible that Im going to have to meet anyhow. Guess what, my claim was processed on 01/15/15 and the office didnt report that I paid $150 for their office visit, so my insurance doesnt show I paid that money. And with that $150 I paid, the doctor gave me a sample of nasal spray and to come back for a hearing test in 2 weeks. (another ploy to get money because they suck soooooo bad, they have NO clientelle. After my office visit, I went back to work and ran my beneftis myself. Clearly showed that I had a $35 co pay for ALL specialty offices. I then called and spoke with Kathy (office manager) who was quite RUDE! She stated to me after I called and inquired about my refund of my overpayment, she said that I will get refunded once they get paid from the insurance company as well as letting me know that they dont charge based off someones insurance plan, she said, "Well most peoples insurance bill towards their deductible, so we charge everyone the same"... INSANE! If you are looking to deal with rude office staff (doctor was nice) that WILL rip you off, feel free to visit this office. I really have never experience such inadequacies at a doctors office and am truly amazed that doctors offices are able to treat patients this way and rip them off. Come to find out, I went and saw a reputable ENT in my town where I live and found out that I have MRSA in my inner ear. I've never written a yelp review before. I should have read the other reviews before making an appointment. The exam room was filthy. It was so DIRTY that I left before seeing the Dr. There was dust, dirt, stains on the cloths laid out, and some strange medical blender in the corner that looked as if you left a meal rot in it for months. I decided I didn't care to meet the Dr. who would work in that environment. I hope that they will read these comments/reviews and fix the problem. Bring in a cleaning crew!!! read more

Don't understand the negative posts, so let me tell how my procedures went. First, the office got me in the day after I called. Bonus points. Upon arrival, nurse Adrian takes me to the exam room in less than 5 minutes. More Bonus points. He does some preliminary intake and says the Dr. will be in shortly. 5 minutes later, Dr. comes in, more bonus points for the short wait. I came in for a consult on a balloon sinuplasty, but Dr. Egan says upon exam that the real problem is a severe deviated septum on both sides. She orders a CT and has me speak to their scheduling person. They had a next day CT appointment set up for me, more bonus points. The CT came back within a day, and their office called to schedule me for a next day appointment. It showed that I needed both deviated septums repaired, sinuplasty, resection of turbinates and while she was in there biopsied a couple growths. Ok, serious attention to detail and concern. Total knowledge about her field. Amazingly was scheduled for surgery the same week as my follow up appointment. Took a weekend off, went in for a follow up and learned it went flawlessly. She was on time for the surgery, it was quick and I was discharged the same day. For the first time in about 30 years I am breathing pretty well, and I have not healed up completely, told to expect even better results. Bottom line, this really unpleasant medical issue was handled as well as humanly possible, with the best possible outcome. read more

I had a very similar experience to many others on here - why didn't I look first? The office visit was $240 to start - wow! And then she took 5 minutes to put a little camera up my nose and billed me $540 for the 'nasal surgery'. This is false billing. I too shall file with the BBB and with my insurance company. She is taking advantage of patients. She should tell patients about expensive procedures before doing them. I also had blood taken. The guy taking the blood was obviously very green - didn't have any sort of process. Bruised me so much that it stayed around for almost a week - and shots don't even bother me. When he pulled out the needle, I had to put my finger over the blood because he wasn't prepared with a gauze. Twice! Crazy. Definitely don't go here read more

Dr. Egan diagnosed a polyp in my throat and within a couple of weeks, we had the surgery scheduled and the polyp was removed. She is thorough, professional and answered my questions. Plus, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes in her waiting room. I highly recommend her. Thanks! read more

I am a patient of Dr. Egan and I'm also a satisfied customer. I came to Dr. Egan for treatment of a severe sleeping disorder due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and due also to blockage of the air passages caused perhaps by allergies. I had lived with these problems for over 5 years and was desperate for a solution. Dr. Egan listened to my complaints, conducted her own examinations/tests, had the OSA affliction verified by a sleep clinic and immediately prescribed use of a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) System. In addition, she noticed that the lateral walls of my nose had collapsed (due to age) and the collapsed sides resulted in additional obstruction to air flow. With the help of tools inserted inside my nose to restore the side walls to their original "pre collapsed" state, Dr. Egan showed me that a "repair job" to achieve restoration would greatly improve the flow of air and make life easier. Dr. Egan performed the surgical procedure. She cut a piece of cartilage from my ear and used it to stiffen the sides of my nose. The results are fantastic. Like a breath of fresh air that I can enjoy for the rest of my life. I recommend that folks that are afflicted by obstruction of air passages and resort to use of adhesive stiffener strips that are sold over-the-counter should consider a permanent fix such as described above. I usually do not write reviews but Dr. Egan is a wonderful doctor that I am so grateful that we found her! My daughter suffered with sinus infections for so long and I was finally referred to Dr. Egan. My daughter is now breathing for the first time and super healthy. Her staff has been so great and accommodating to us that I have never had a problem! I would highly recommend Dr. Egan. Her staff is also very wonderful as well! I would like to add that whenever I would have a question (which were many) she was always available to talk to me by phone as well. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Had the same experience as the other insurance patients. Asked for a regular office visit to check out my nose because of a simple nosebleed a week earlier. They made me sign a form stating that patient agrees to her using a "flexible or rigid camera" - no information about related charges. Was seen by Dr. Egan for less than 15 minutes. Three weeks later, I received an invoice from Dr. Egan for an more than $200 office visit and an almost $600 surgery charge (before insurance adjustment). Contacted the office: office staff was rude and claimed I had authorized the use of the camera and therefore the charges were appropriate. Filed a grievance with the insurance. Dr. Egan turned invoice over to collections after three weeks despite the ongoing grievance. Will never go there again and recommend you don't either. read more

Dr. Egan is actually a good doctor and was helpful. The horrible experience I had was with her billing dept. I walked in to her office and gave them my health insurance card, which is with United Healthcare. Come to find out Dr. Egan is "out of network", but I was told that they "take" my insurance. I received a rather large bill for a visit due to a sore throat. When I called back to ask why my insurance didn't cover the expenses, I was blamed by her office manager for not knowing the doctor was out of network. Not only was I duped into believing my insurance was "accepted", which is wasn't, I was told by her office manager that this was explained to me on my visit, which it wasn't. Beware, if you have United Healthcare, this office is going to charge you as if you were a cash paying customer. If you have to deal with the Latina office manager/finance lady, she has no problems with cursing and telling you your mother should go "f" herself. I was obviously upset at discovering my insurance wasn't going to cover any of my visit, but having an angry Latina woman curse at me and blame me for not knowing the doctor was out of network took the whole experience to the next level. I blame the doctor for hiring someone with such a lack of empathy and professionalism, who clearly enjoys arguing and blaming customers instead of working to find a resolution. I can see there are several others on this website who have had an issue with this particular doctors office and I'm guessing I'm not the only one who has been treated unbelievably bad after leaving the office and being forced to deal with their finance dept. Never would i recommend this doctor simply based on her staff. read more

I am in agreement with those that wrote that the office staff is EXTREMELY RUDE!! I had to deal with the billing lady (or whatever she was) and she just kept telling me that since I hadn't met my deductible with insurance that I would have to pay up-front. I asked if she was going to send a bill to my insurance company that showed what I paid up-front so that it would go towards my deductible. She said she would...she never did. I had to file a grievance report with insurance, and it turned out that the cosmetic portion of my son's surgery wasn't even covered under my insurance, but she just kept telling me....you haven't met your deductible. I would ask her another question....you haven't met you deductible. Frustrating to say the least!!! I want to be treated like a human being...not a piece of trash. The office manager and receptionist are very rude!!! Bad people skills. They were not very professional. They should be more accommodating to patients if they want the business. I called for a appointment because another ENT was booked and they highly recommend this office. I am in so much pain and the first time I called the receptionist said in a rude tone of voice that they do not take my insurance. I explained to her that I might be mistaken that my insurance might be blue shield or blue cross. So she said well I can't make an appt until I get the correct insurance. I said ok I will cal back. The receptionist replies uh huh and hung up on me. Still in so much pain I call back and ask for someone in charge and I get another rude person who claims she is in charge. So I find out that they take both blue shield or bluecross. I explained that the receptionist said only blue shield. She replies well we take both so what did u need? Well I told her about the incident and she was so rude. She said she doesn't know who talked to me and can not do anything about this situation. Yes you can I explained, you can talk to the one receptionist you have! The so called person, In charge said to me "well what to you need!
