I'd recommend OSVI for both medical and cosmetic dermatology. I came in first for a medical need (cyst drainage), and Tiffany, P.A. did a great job. She had knowledge, patience and skill for a painless experience. The whole team works exceptionally hard. The front office, and shout out to Jocelyn, was clear about billing and product. They do their utmost to give appointments as soon as possible. We had a small miscommunication (which provider, billing policy) we swiftly resolved favorably. Today I look forward to meeting Dr Shokeen directly. So far their product they make/recommend have helped my embarrassing rosacea, and I begin their recommended cosmetic treatment soon. read more

My physician referred me to this dermatologist. I informed him of the cystic acne I struggle with. The office is a bit small but very clean. The receptionist I interacted with was nice. I saw the doctor & she prescribed spironolactone, a diuretic & topical cream/retinol. I asked what her opinion was on diet and acne and she informed there was no connection and if it was a connection, her and dermatologists would be out of business. There was no real treatment for the cystic acne from the dermatologist here. I would only suggest if you want to address light cosmetic work as it appears to be more of a wellness business than serious conditions. None of the treatment medications worked that were prescribed luckily I was able to research specifically gut issues and the relation of food to cystic acne and help myself. read more

Referred by our primary care for skin cancer check. Very quick to schedule, very efficient office . It can be hard or awkward to visit a "cosmetic " office for a medical reason but not here. As a senior citizen it is tough to undress and have a full body exam and I never once felt uncomfortable. Everyone is friendly quick and professional. And the good news is except for some pre cancer on my face everything else is just age with one small biopsy result negative. read more

I cannot express how thankful I am to have come across RN Nicole Younger years ago to perfect my Dysport injections. I followed her to this location. My forehead is abnormally small. I only went to plastics surgeons before Nicole and they just rushed erasing the wrinkles on my forehead but creating such a heavy brow I looked like Frankenstein. Plus extremely painful and super scared of needles. Nicole has perfected the perfect brow lift for me. I look like a different happy younger person!! Also zero pain she's got the magic touch and the great distraction of her soothing talk so it all just happens so fast. No anxiety no pain. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. The visit itself was great but when I was trying to get my prescription they failed me. The pharmacy called, I called and was told the nurse assistant would call me and she didn't. I don't even know if my prescription will be filed now I have to wait all weekend. What a way to ruin such a great visit. Is this the level of service I will expect moving forward? Staff is nice, location is nice, however doctor was abrupt and invalidating to my concerns as well as not asking many questions about my concerns (i.e. does it hurt? Is it causing problems? The answer is- yes. But she didn't ask) contradictory in her opinions "never say never" as well as "that's not gonna happen." I was in and out of the room in 15 minutes including a biopsy of skin on my breast area. No explanations of what she was doing just poke with anesthesia, walks out of room, approaches me with blade and cuts, no words of nothing, then walks out. No what to look for, how to care for, etcetera. I was handed a 1/4 page piece of paper on the way out by reception. Just really baffled by the inadequate communication and personality traits showing through during an appointment. I would return to the office but not see this provider again. p.s. just realized the founder of the clinic is the provider that treated me, so no I will not be back which by the way I was treated don't think they'll miss. Also one less star for that and even more baffled. read more

After taking over Dr. Moy's Dermatology clinic, the Ocean Skin and Vein Institute have demonstrated that they do not have the ability to manage a clinic. When it comes to scheduling appointments their process is extremely flawed. After arriving at my appointment at the scheduled time I was told I was 30 minutes late and that I would need to wait a while. Even as I believed I arrived at the correct time, I agreed to wait. However, after waiting for 40 minutes I was told that there would be no appointments available. Not only did they not log the proper appointment time, they also kept me waiting for no reason. I believe this to be poor management practice. This whole situation could have been avoided if a confirmation email, phone call or text was sent. However, it seems that the Ocean Institute does not value this practice in order to avoid misunderstanding like the one I experienced. I wholeheartedly recommend not patronizing this business. As a former patient of Dr. Lawrence Moy, who knew how to run a successful clinic, it is clear that the Ocean Skin and Vein Institute is the antithesis of a well-managed dermatology clinic. read more

I wanted to come here for a laser service since my dermatologist suggested the doctor whom owns this business. My dermatologist said this woman is a friend and went to dermatology school with her and highly reccommended her during one of my appointments. Since I had the trust in my dermatologist, I decided to call to make an appointment about 2 months ago. I called after hours and left a message with my contact info. Waited about a week and emailed them to inquire. Still no reply after waiting a few days after that email. Finally called them during business hours. The girl on the phone was nice and trying to get answers for me about the service I inquired about but since it was close to their closing time I told her that she can just call me tomorrow when she gets the info. She had my contact info and I never got a call back. Seems like the reception desk is not great at follow ups or answering their voicemessages or emails. Or even giving calls back. Its ashame since the reviews are great, doctor seems great and the list of services are nice. I understand that things can slip through the cracks with an appointment scheduling job, as I used to be a scheduler too, but when I made 3 attempts to get their attention with no effort on their end to gain a new client then I have to look another way. A potential client should not have to hound the front desk to get an appointment or a question answered. Loss of money and a repeat customer on their end. I usually refer all my friends to spas and medi-spas that I have great experiences with, which could have also been a nice gain for them. read more

We use Ocean Skin and Vein dermatology services. I usually don't write reviews, but I had such a great service I had to share. We saw Melissa- I believe the PA there. We visited many times to help treat my daughter's skin. Each time she was so patient (while dealing with an unhappy teen). In the end, I had to request a call back from her. Not only did she return my call promptly, she followed up three times that day to ensure we had everything we needed. This is a service you don't usually get these days- but we need more people like her in healthcare! read more
