The are Kristy, Krunchy chicken. Try to get them when newly fried. Also, nuggets and large fries are good

It was very busy but you can tell the staff was on top of everything and the music was literally such a vibe. It reminded me of just being around family enjoying a Sunday afternoon. Our waiter was friendly and offered the specials, not gonna lie we wanted to try everything. My husband and I enjoyed a michelada and our daughter had a Pepsi. We clearly ordered way too much much and had plenty to take home for dinner tomorrow. Everything was AMAZING! We're already planning our next trip out here. My daughter said 10/10! What we ordered: Calamari 6 steamed oysters Garlic noodles Clam chowder The REEL boil combo

We got the "special" buy one pound get the next pound free so we did shrimp. We got shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and dungeness crab with the special blend in one bag. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

We were told how the menu worked, you order at the window take your number, seat yourself and they come and find you. Then that the specials are rotating and that if you see something there you should order it because chances are you won't see it again. We thanked the gentleman and looked over the menu and thought it over and then ordered our food. My hubby's catfish with okra and red beans and rice came out rather quickly as did the side of hush puppies. We liked the hush puppies they were pretty much perfect however they didn't come with a sauce NOW they didn't need a sauce but there wasn't any offering of one either which I've never seen and I just found that odd. The catfish was pretty much perfect. Fried to perfection and lost the muddy flavor catfish can have it was light and seasoned nicely with a small Kick to it. The okra was also nicely cooked but he was not a fan of the red beans and rice. They did however bring out a complimentary tasting side of greens that were delicious!! My daughter and I shared the special garlic noodles with shrimp and a whole crab - I was ok not great but it had technical flaws. The noodles were over cooked and everything was over seasoned to the point that it ruined the dish which saddened me because I was very much looking forward to this - when I come home one of the first things I eat is garlic noodles and this one if it would've been tended just a little more closely could've been great. Less garlic and garlic salt, noodles cooked about a minute less and the use of butter and olive oil to cook the seafood and then incorporate the noodles to carry the flavors together because they didn't taste like they were cooked together but like they were put together after being prepared separately.

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

Oh boy. I think I wrote my last review using the dictation feature on my phone! I was so…read moreembarrassed I had to rewrite it without errors. I wish Yelp let us make corrections instead of writing new reviews. But if you want a laugh, Yelp always lists the original alongside the new. Quality food, fun presentation, and packed with flavor. High marks all the way around. Very classy, upscale place to eat. Featuring seafood, they also have other options for those not so inclined. However, be aware that most of the menu focuses on seafood, which they do exceptionally well! FOOD: Like I mentioned, the food here (not hair) is excellent! The quality of ingredients is way above average. The variety of seafood, and the ability to basically craft your own meal is amazing. And the presentation is just spectacular! Usually going to a seafood restaurant, all I want is seafood. But for some reason I was craving mac & cheese, so I got the lobster mac & cheese. Often times, in a lobster mac & cheese you get a sprinkling of lobster. Here you had big full chunks of delicious, perfectly cooked lobster. It was amazing! My wife got the seafood in a bag which was so much fun and definitely well worth the price. Plus it was lots of fun. SERVICE: If there was anything better than the food, it would be the service! They were so attentive and kind and thoughtful that it was hard to believe! Plus, as I said, the presentation of food was on point. And the seats were spacious as well as comfortable. Really can't get much better. COST: Here is the one area that I would say might crimp your style. It will definitely put a dent in your wallet. The food and service are great, but the cost is pretty high! However, for being in the capital of California, in the middle of a convention center area, and considering the quality of food, you are definitely getting something well worth it.

I normally enjoy their entree's however, I was quite confused when my plate came out and it only had 3 scallops, 1 was overcooked (I guess I paid $10 per scallop since the plate itself was $36). The flavor profile was nice and light which went well with the green beans and the scallops. The waitress was very inattentive and refused to offer a complimentary birthday dessert after trying to upsell the desserts on the menu. I'll be back, but for HH only!

For whatever reason I'm sure is probably because I went there late at night, the Cabbage wasn't tasting like I normally like it to be. It was really soggy, not crisp and very salty. Yet this is just one night of tasting It. Whenever I eat It is VERY, VERY, VERY DELICIOUS. So my suggestion would be don't go there to eat cabbage an hour before closing. Go during the day and you will be very satisfied. THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME. THE YOUNG LADY WAS VERY FRIENDLY, PERSONABLE WITH THE WONDERFUL SMILE ON HER FACE AND HAPPY TO HELP ME. Trip two and Three: 4/25 and 4/28 the lady with the locs is amazing and I wish I interacted with her from the beginning. After the initial interaction two weeks ago I probably would have never returned however after randomly seeing the offering on Too Good To Go App the nice lady at the store was phenomenal with her service. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food because they were short staffed, we had the happy hour menu to choose deals from and entertainment from the large group's karaoke to keep us busy in the meantime. When the food came out, I was surprised to find such tasty, and, large crawfish and shrimp on our table! The food was piping hot and the portions nice and big. I especially loved that the seafood came out in metal bowls instead of the plastic bags every other boil place serves their boils in. Extra points to them for being environmentally friendly! After a few bottles of soju, our group decided to partake in the free karaoke too, and we had a great time belting our hearts out. All in all, we loved the fair prices, delicious food, kid and family environment, and will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Thanks for the awesome night, Crab City!

Every staff member I've encountered has been welcoming, kind, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel like family. It's rare to find a restaurant where the hospitality is just as memorable as the food, but Fixins delivers on both! One thing I especially love is seeing how this restaurant brings people together. The atmosphere is always lively, full of laughter, conversations, and people enjoying good food. Every time I walk in, the place is packed, and I can understand why!
