My kids loved it, the hubby loved it, I loved it. 5/5. The staff were friendly and the milk shakes were on point. Mine was spiked and it made me happy all day. That chicken sando though. Wow. Perfectly balanced with a carrot slaw and just a touch of chili oil to get a sizzle all held together with a decadent brioche bun. Voila! So delicious! I had a bite of hubby's burger and it was melt in your mouth awesome. I secretly love it when a restaurant has a small menu. I always hope it means they do a few things really well. Nonla lived up to all my expectations. Fast, but leisurely in the inviting diner atmosphere. The kids enjoyed asking me for $$ to play the games. Luckily, they were all winners. Hubby says this is his top 5 place and we will have to come back again soon! He also implored me to write an unequivocal 5 star review... a rare request from his mouth. Thanks Nonla!

Originating in Kalamazoo, Nonla Burger's Bridge Street location in GR is super popular. Their…read morespecialties are crispy chicken sandwiches, burgers, and fries. The menu is concise and they do these classics well. They also have a daily milkshake and weekly food features. I still need to visit for their Sunday brunch! I've now been to the GR location many times and really appreciate how dialed in they've gotten over the years. You can order at the counter to go or get table service. The space is large and bright and good for groups. On my most recent visit, I was trying to decide between a burger and a chicken sandwich, and realized I'd never had the BBQ chicken club, which is listed as a grilled chicken breast with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Our server told me that people like it if they are looking for something without fried chicken... but I really wanted fried chicken. So I asked if I could do that with fried chicken instead and she said absolutely! Their menu is super customizable, which is great to know. Our food came out quickly and I was impressed with the presentation of the sandwich. I like that they wrap it in paper which makes it easier to eat. It was a little messy towards the end with the BBQ sauce and mayo, but it was delicious and totally worth it. The veggies were fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the bacon was crispy... I'm thinking this might be my new go-to! Their burgers and other chicken sandwiches are also delicious. They have a full bar and fun cocktails, and happy hour Tuesday-Friday! Parking in the area is always a bit of a challenge, especially with continued construction nearby, but there are metered spots and some paid lots within walking distance.

I want to thank the manager Eric for the best customer service and most delicious falafel sandwich…read moreso carefully made with true care. Being new to Pita Way, I loved his engagement with recommending sauces and spices which I felt he was setting the intention for my return. It wasn't like other restaurants where you go in and barely get a hello or even recognized that you're standing in line. Sadly, this is true with customer service these days. Also, I was so thankful that he showed his gratitude when I left a couple of dollars for a tipSadly these days I notice people mainly the younger generation you don't get a thank you for a couple of bucks throwing the way of appreciation. Anyways his team is awesome in all the check boxes of professionalism and a beautiful experience of dining out with super energy! I will be a regular because of their high energy, smiles and appreciation for us guest in their establishment. Thank you for the Rockin service and delicious food.Oh my gosh!!! I can't wait to come back

It's been a year and my husband still makes comments about this dinner I brought home. The presentation is as good…read moreas it can be for this type of food and they did a nice job with keeping the menu basic and simple. The taste of the Polish dog was good. the bun was soft. It was portioned correctly. It just was very bland compared to what else you can get in Grand Rapids. The chili cheese fries also were not horrible but I wanna say they were great. It is just gas station cheese and chili from a can. Again, not horrible just nothing special. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend this place but I also want to steer someone away either especially if you are drunk and at the bar across the street. I'm sure it tastes much better. That being said, I think it's a perfect restaurant for its location. There is not a ton of competition directly next-door or across the street. And technically, the Bar across the street has food of a similar quality however it is a nice alternative It's up to you. There's much better places in town for hotdog however, I would give the spot another shot to try the Italian beef. I have heard it is not excellent, but I have not had it Personally.

My cousin and I sat at the bar, and you can get full service at the bar. She ordered a hot dog and I had a pizza. The hot dog came with that weird neon relish, in typical Chicago fashion, and was on a poppyseed bun. The fries are crinkle cut, and I don't know what seasoning they use, but it was so good! A little sweetness mixed in with the spices. The pizza was good; thin crust and cut square style like they do in Chicago, which I forgot about and kind of hate. I should've asked for silverware, but didn't. Next time I'd ask for it pie cut instead. The flavor was really good though. It was a bit pricey for what it was - it was a 12" pizza, and each topping an additional $3. $21 just seems high to me for a thin crust pepperoni mushroom pizza. I had draft beer and my cousin had a mixed drink. She had no complaints about hers, and mine was quite good! So many places draft beer tastes a little soapy, whether it's the way the clean their lines or how they wash their glasses, but I didn't taste any of that here. There aren't many choices on draft but was a good variety. They also have a full bar and lots of canned beverage choices. They don't have the healthiest menu, but that's not surprising since they're known for Chicago hot dogs, Italian beef, and pizza. If you know what you're going for it's perfect! The vibe is good. The space is pretty open, gets a decent amount of light, is clean, and there is parking! The restrooms are tiny, but clean, and I appreciate that after you wash your hands the door opens out so you don't have to touch a handle. We went on a Monday after work, which does turn into karaoke night, but we had time for a couple drinks and food before that really got going. It also wasn't crazy in there and we could still carry on a conversation at the bar without having to yell. I'm glad I finally made it in, and fully appreciate having them in the North Monroe area. I will definitely plan to have more happy hours here!

A car was finishing up, my turn was next. I watched 4 cars go through before a VERY faint voice and crackle came through. I could only hear it stop. Another 2 cars went through. Finally, I just got in line. When it was my turn at the 2nd window (1st window was closed), I was given the wrong order twice (this is likely because many cars were leaving the line bc of the wait) the window gal sounded perplexed before saying "oh, your order just now came through!" -I'd put it through 15 min before this point of contact. I waited at the window for a while and then was told to pull forward and wait. 28 minutes for an order -what's even more disappointing is that looking at past reviews, this is an old and consistent problem that has not been yet corrected. I can't imagine the money this McD's is losing from customers that leave the line without paying -and also the customers that never return.

The space inside is surprisingly huge, making it nice for larger groups. It was busy but not super packed when we were there on a Friday evening. The offerings are your typical dive bar selections and they did have a few craft options on tap. I was super hungry so we got some food - chicken tenders with fries for me, and an olive burger for Nate. The chicken tenders were hot and pretty tasty, and I loved the fries. I had a couple bites of the olive burger and was impressed - not too greasy, a thicker patty, and plenty of olives on a kaiser roll. Definitely a solid bar burger. I have to give a shoutout to our server with shoulder length blonde hair (I should have gotten her name) - she was incredible. Hustling the entire time, friendly and polite, while never forgetting any drinks, and keeping up with our group as we moved from a booth to a table. Overall this is a nice neighborhood dive bar and I felt comfortable and welcome there. I don't live nearby but if I did, this would be a regular spot.
