For all the Krispy Kreme fans out there, you know the "hot doughnuts" sign is the first thing to note, right? First of all, we came here to drive through while out of town and did *not* note that sign. But boy, were we surprised when the doughnuts were delightfully warm when hubby passed me the box! One of the best indulgences is a warm and glazed one of these, and they were all delicious. (No, we truthfully did not eat them all at once.) This is one of my guilty pleasures. I don't eat doughnuts often but I love them. Especially when they are hot and fresh. These weren't hot but they tasted fresh. I can eat 3 at one time but I used self-control and only ate one this time. I gave the other two to my kids. I only eat Krispy Kreme doughnuts from their restaurants. I don't like them very much when they have been sitting in a convenience and grocery store for a couple of days. They are always fresh when you get them directly from the restaurant. read more

When we come from Texas to visit family in Northport, we all make sure to visit this Krispy Kreme in Tuscaloosa at least once. The donuts' quality and freshness can't be beaten. The only downside is the rudeness of the staff. Whether we are there during peak hours or the late-afternoon slump, our very presence as customers trying to buy something elicits attitudes and responses from some employees that conveys we are a burden, since they have better things to do. It almost makes the food not worth it. 0-star service, 5-star food, 3-star result. read more

The Good: :: it's krispy kreme. nuff said! :: when the donuts are hot and fresh, they light the red neon sign. pay attention and pull over IMMEDIATELY. nothing beats the feeling of a fresh warm glazed melting in your mouth like candy. i'm serious, it is like a moment of heaven :: they have a good variety of other donuts like donut holes, filled donuts, cake donuts, etc :: the place is kept clean :: they loop a video in the dining area to entertain you while you hog out on donuts. the video shows you how the entire process goes for a donut, from ingredients in the manufacturing plant to the end product. very educational! :: they sell their coffee, which is tasty. pick up a bag and try it! :: you can see how the donuts are getting cooked in the donut room via a huge glass window you can see through. very entertaining for both adults and kids! Love the staff at this restaurant; very friendly and helpful. Not sure if it's new, but it appears that way and is very clean. I swung in to grab a donut & coffee. They have a large fresh array of both. I didn't even know Krispy Kreme offered that many types of donuts! This location also sells Krispy Kreme gift items. I bought myself two shirts as well. Came here on a Sunday afternoon after church A employee taking the orders from drive-through was very rude and disrespectful there was no patience on her part when trying to order certain donuts, she slammed the drive-through door window on us while we are still speaking and I definitely think management needs to evaluate people they hire to represent the company. I hope the manager sees this review and knows who was working the window on August 21st at 12:30pm and seriously considers talking to this employee about her attitude and lack of respect for customers. I am a manager at Jimmy John's and I would never hire someone with an attitude as she displayed. read more

Yum!!!! You had me at the word "Donut!" You kept me with the words "Hot... Now!" Great place not only to indulge in one of life's greatest pleasures (a freshly made donut, STILL warm from the oven) but you can ACTUALLY WATCH the assembly line as the donuts come out of the oven, on a HUGE conveyor belt, and take a PLUNGE (bath) into the FRESH GLAZE!!!!! Then they get turned into other decorative frostings and whatnot. They also have coffee, milk, 2% milk, (& I think??) orange juice?? (Not sure.) I'm there for the donuts. (& 2% milk!) Yum!! KRISPY KREME is BACK!!!! I was here at 5:15 AM on Aug 21 for the Grand Re-Opening. There were cars backed up for a quarter mile, and a line around the corner waiting to get in. I love Krispy Kreme. Decided to stop tonight and try the butterfinger. Please do not try it. It was awful. Not only is there a bad taste to the cream in the middle but the doughnut was not fresh at all. It was hard and tasted like it might have been cooked early that morning or the day before (I went a little before midnight). read more

I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts! The staff have always been friendly and patient, even when people don't know what they want or are making massive orders. The doughnuts are good and consistently so. The hours are also great because in a college town it's good to be one of the few places open so late! The only downside to this particular location is unfortunately not something easily fixed, and that's accessibility. There is no way to left turn into the establishment and often the line is so long that it spills out onto the main road. So overall the food and service is good. It's just the debate of is it worth figuring out how to get there. read more

I think the new Krispy Kreme looks nice. Staff was friendly this morning.Too bad the parking lot is so darn small. My biggest complaint: lack of variety. Oh sure, it looks like there are so many different kinds of doughnuts. but notice anything that they all have in common? Glaze. I mean I like glaze, but where's the chocolate cake doughnut? I thought that was their best one! The only non-glazed options were the powdered (could go to Publix for that) and traditional (was one of the worst plain doughnuts I've ever had. Dry and just bad tasting all around). I will say their raspberry-filled doughnut was outta this world, but I'm not going to fight crowds for that. read more

I could eat here enough to gain 50 lbs in a year! I love this place, and the new building is fantastic (rebuilt from tornado a year or so ago)! Plenty of staff here, and they're always friendly. You can see the donuts made in the back, through the array of glass walls. They have a fantastic selection of items here, probably none of which are low-cal... but who can resist, particularly when the Hot Light is on? :) read more

Don't get the plain cake donuts. Yesterday morning I'm in line. One car ahead of me and only one behind me. When I pull to window the cashier asks in not a very friendly tone, "what did you order?" Really? They don't have that info right in front of them? Instead, how about YOU repeating my order to me to make sure you've got the right one!!! Then, the glazed ones were fine (I mean those ARE the signature donuts after all - they HAVE to get those right! The plain cakes were flat and doughy! In the future I'll ck before pulling away and refuse the plain cakes if they are flat. read more

We had our daughter's birthday party here! They took the kids and parents in the back and showed us all how the donuts are made. The guy was awesome, the kids had a blast, and the parents had a great time, too! It's Krispy Kreme, so the fact that the donuts are little sugary pieces of heaven goes without saying. But the people at this Krispy Kreme are amazing, and made my daughter's birthday very special. read more

Of course the donuts are wonderful, but the overall experience was totally chaotic. The parking lot is HORRIBLE, a logistical nightmare. It's too small and the entrance gets blocked from people waiting in the drive thru. The staff could have cared less if I were there. They were like, "what do you want?" No greeting, no smile, nothing. I felt like we were herded like cattle through the line. If they are crowded, you better know what you want before you get in there because they took my order before I could even see the selection of donuts. It was a rushed, hurried, chaotic experience all around. read more

I will always have fond memories of this Krispy Kreme, ever since my best friend and I accidentally honked the horn in the drive thru, and someone got out of her car and proclaimed "We can get RILED UP in this MF!!!" I sincerely hope it rebuilds in this exact location, using whatever leftover tiles there are to be salvaged. Go Krispy Kreme! read more
