What a joke of an establishment. Went before the airport for a quick easy drink. Or so I thought. Trina, clearly in management there, blew. Had to ask workers, who had no idea what was going on or what drink we ordered. Since when are mobile orders more prioritized than face to face customers. Pathetic. Finally asked one last time after waiting nearly 30 minutes and she said, it's been 22 minutes... would you like a refund? Go to the cash register. I got there around 2pm, no one in drive through line, ordered food and tea through my favs on my app, so just picking up, app said ready, sat for 10" waiting and brought me a grande tea,I said wrong, 2 sec later new tea, obvious they added water to a venti cup and poured tea in. It's your average Starbucks. However, since it's located in a college town, there are a lot of students that study here or grab coffee throughout the day. The tables aren't the cleanest, but that's most Starbucks considering how many customers come in and out. On game days, this location specifically turns off their order ahead feature via the app, which is my favorite feature since it saves time waiting in the drive through or going inside. Personally, I think there's plenty of coffee shops in the area that are local with more creative drink menus. read more

This location habitually doesn't prepare the coffee at the correct strength. I used to drink coffee from here everyday. Today is my last time. One can tell when looking at the iced drinks on the pick up shelf when they do not contain enough coffee. They have a noticeable translucent look. Just look at the drinks whenever you get in, and you'll notice the difference on messed up days. They are adding two scoops of ice to the ice coffee (I saw them do it) and itsupposed to be only one. Those scoops are huge, so you're drinking half the strength of how ice coffee is supposed to be prepared. I saw the translucent look of the ice coffee today and I decided to get a regular pike. Guess what: it was cold and definitely not pike. I'm guessing it was the blonde So if you want to pay full price and get half the coffee, this is the place. read more

I came here on a Saturday, and it was really busy. It's probably the college students nearby, but as the first time in Tuscaloosa I have no idea. All I thought was that it was busy and everyone seemed to be rushing around. Anyways, our order was pretty simple: Nitro with sweet cream. What I got was a nitro with sweet cream, but they added ice. Which okay, maybe we didn't know that nitro was supposed to have ice or not so I was fine with it. When I went to another store along the way back home, found out there's no such thing as ice in a nitro. So, yeah, that screwed up that order when it's pretty simple when you're just pouring it out of a tap. I think my experience might be far in between, but I've seen and been to better operated Starbucks shops. read more

Since my last review, this Starbucks has been less than stellar. I usually visit once a week/every other week. They are usually out of a lot of stuff (not necessarily their fault). Today I went and they got my drink wrong twice. They didn't include a sleeve jacket for my hot drink, causing me to burn my hand. They also left my food item in the plastic packaging that's it's shipped in. My friends order was not made correctly. Despite being 1 of 4 cars in the drive through, it took a significant time to get our drinks. read more

I'm currently sitting in this Starbucks and I'm quite impressed. They have been quick and efficient in handling the cafe orders while managing the drive thru. All of the employees were nice and got our order perfect. Can't beat an iced coffee. This store is very clean and well organized. It has lots of indoor seating that allows for many people to do their work, or study, or just hang out like my sister and I. Truly a perfect location if you're in a hurry too! In the midst of lots of businesses. If I ever come back to this town, I'll be sure to visit this location. read more

Admittedly, I am a Starbucks-aholic. I go to Starbucks everywhere I go. During my long weekend in Tuscaloosa, I visited this location three times. While one of those days they did have an issue with a drive-through, it was actually good for me to go in and see the place in action. They clearly had regulars that they knew and made special drinks for, as well as maintaining that Starbucks-Level service for everyone. They do such a nice job. Mobile ordered and got to this location. It took about 15 minutes over from when I ordered to actually get all 5 of my drinks. They were very busy but all the baristas seemed to be all over the place. I watched them make my strawberry refresher and it wasn't shaken. First the guy hands me the wrong coffee then I get home my husband tastes his caramel mocha and it was literally hot water in a cup. No coffee or anything. Water!!!! This Starbucks is AMAZING! I have never had a bad food or drink item and I am there at least 3 days a week. I literally drive from Ralph to this location! I always get the same drink venti passion tea, no sugar cane, add 7 Splenda and it's delicious and CONSISTENT! The egg bites are delicious, steaming hot and fresh! And they are the only location to get a cream cheese danish! Flakey on the inside and slightly crisp on the out and always FRESH! Good job Folks! read more

So, I get that they traded in the McFarland location by Chipotle for this one so that they could have a drive-thru. However, around 5pm today, I probably spent at least 10 minutes in the drive-thru. The guy taking orders was polite enough, but he was also handing them out and didn't even say hello at the window (or confirm my order), just repeated the total. I was handed a cup that had sloshed all over the lid, with a stopper in it. No napkin, so I was glad I had a few in my glove box. However, they had a tip jar out on the windowsill. What they were doing that deserved a tip, I'm sure I don't know. I was at Fresh Market by the time I realized that, though it was a perfectly adequate latte, it definitely did not have the hazelnut flavor that I had asked for, and been charged for (making this a $3.76 tall, for heaven's sake). I had no desire to deal with traffic to drive back there, so I called the store to let them know that maybe they should make the drinks that are actually ordered. However, there was a ton of background noise and the person could barely hear me, and several times suggested I return to the store for a refund despite me stating that I did not want to do that; I just wanted to tell them they had a problem. In fact, part of my motivation in stopping was to use up some Starbucks gift cards that I've had kicking around forever. Honestly, this was completely underwhelming and I don't think I'll bother returning to this particular location. They clearly can't handle their business. read more

I usually come here frequently. During its peak hours, they tend to have at least 15 people waiting for drinks inside the store, and that if not more in the drive thru, so definitely expect to wait quite some time for the drinks. Also, it seems like every time they get busy they start to get sloppy with making the drinks. I get that it's busy but making the order correctly is more important than a customer waiting for their drink. I don't think I'll be coming here again at least if it is busy because they always seem to miss some ingredients that I pay extra for almost every single time because they're too concentrated on getting the next order and end up being sloppy with the drinks. read more

I drop at least $50 a week here and my coffee is only right 20% of the time. There are a few GREAT baristas (hence the two stars) , but if they don't make my drink I can guarantee it's going to be wrong. For a $7 cup of coffee, you would think you could expect it right. I am currently sitting in the drive thru, late for work due to the excessive sorority traffic to this starbucks for some reason. I have applied to this starbucks numerous times, yet for some reason they can never seem to get drinks out quickly, hastily, and never seem to have enough staff. more often than not my orders are misheard at the drive thru, so i order ahead, and yet still i found myself today sitting in the drive thru for 20+ minutes. don't waste your time. I went the other day, a barista didn't hear me ask for cream and when i attempted to get the hot bar items, the creamer, they asked to see my receipt. I live closest to this starbucks and I am truly leaving this review at a hope that a starbucks corps sees the terrible reviews here to do something about it, and so they can stop making me awfully late for their medicocre reciepes they pull together. I keep wondering why they don't hire more people instead of inconveniencing themselves with angry customers and improper orders. today i didn't even ask for a straw because i felt like i was taking too much space at the business, because the baristas make you feel like you're inconviencing them on purpose; yet that shouldn't happen at a business! This Starbucks needs to be shut down ASAP. As a former Starbucks barista I know the ins and outs and I can tell when people know how to do their job.... and when they don't. It's as if this Starbucks is trying to be bad. I've gone there frequently and the past four times my drink has been wrong. Barista named Braxton is by far the best barista I've ever come across! I pulled into the drive-thru right before 10pm on a Sunday night. They line was lengthy and getting longer by the minute. Somehow, the speaker/intercom didn't detect my car; so I continued on through -- without having placed an order. I pulled up to the window, told Braxton my dilemma, and he took care of me right then and there. I didn't even have to wait two minutes before he was done with my order! I love Starbucks and rarely ever have an issue with any Starbucks I go to. However, this location will no longer be receiving my business. I sat in the drive thru for nearly 30 minutes today, which I get they were busy, I don't mind the wait. All I ordered was a venti iced coffee with almond milk... something I KNOW is very simple to make having worked at Starbucks 4 years ago. When I finally got to the window today I asked if I could get another venti iced coffee with my order for my roommate who asked me to bring her something. I was rudely told no, and that it would be unfair to everyone behind me in the line. I was paying with star points, so clearly I go to Starbucks a lot and give them my business regularly. When told this I was a bit dumbfounded, considering I had just waited in the line for 30 minutes for a coffee that is pre-brewed before you order.
