In 33 years of living, every time I go to a Krispy Kreme or a Dunk n Donuts it's the same thing. The donuts on display are made an hour in advance and just sit there waiting to be bought meaning they aren't fresh. This Krispy Kreme has the single most genius approach I have every seen in my life. Right next to where you buy the donuts, there's a window. Inside the window you can see the donuts being mass produced on a conveyor belt. First both sides of the donut go in the fryer, then they go through a stream of the white cream. Just watching everything in constant motion like this is beyond intriguing to me. If I wasn't there to buy a donut, I would come just to watch the conveyor belt, it's just that fascinating. I was SO impressed by the genius system this Krispy Kreme had in place, I requested to speak with the manager. After explaining who I am and what I do here, I mention I'm tempted to give this Krispy Kreme a 5 star review just because of the conveyor belt there for all to see. And that's BEFORE trying their food. He gave me from the conveyor belt a free donut to try, and it was to die for. Needless to say, I'm majorly impressed. They've earned this 5 star review. EDIT: Today is 2/28/24. A few weeks prior when I showed up wanting to buy donuts and take shelter from the rain, I was greeted with this message. "Lobby is closed. Due to lack of staff. Please use Drive Thru. Sorry for the inconvenience." Now back to present day, it's still there. So you're short staff? Not the customer's problem. Hire new staff! Or is this one of those case where somewhere needs staff, and either they don't want to pay for more staff, or is very restrictive who they hire when THEY NEED STAFF? This isn't the Covid-19 outbreak of 2020 anymore. You don't get the excuse anymore. No other store in the area has staffing issues. It's probably a case they don't want to bother cleaning up after customers. And that REALLY stinks given you get to see the donut conveyor belt do it's thing. I'm now forced to give you 3 out of 5 stars. No effort has been taken to get more staff. Obviously you aren't hurting that badly from the lack of staff. read more

I went into Krispy Cream this morning at 6:20 AM, and they opened at 6:00 AM to buy some donuts, and when I walked in, I was told by the employee that they had no fresh donuts ready. This location needs to close they are terrible. read more

Service here is absolutely terrible. They are always out of donuts, and they really don't seem to care. I have tried multiple times to pick up donuts early in the morning and they never have any ready. Just tried for the last time. read more

If it wasn't for the sweet girl that helped us, they would have gotten a 3. Not that a 4 is bad. Just that it's Krispy Kreme's. I prefer mom and pop shop donuts, but every now and then I'd crave them. I think it's cool that they tell you how many calories are in each donut. Not that it matters to me. If I'm gonna be eating donuts, counting calories will be the last thing on my mind. Just like every other visit though (this was my first visit at this location btw)... I always end up feeling guilty. Seriously. Can't believe I just ate over 1000 calories and probably have a pound of sugar, just because I was craving a freakin donut. :( In other news. This location is really clean like most of them are. Not sure how long they've been open, but yeah... really clean. They have some cool Halloween donuts going on right now. Just tried the key lime donut and it was awful. It is a cream filled donut with green icing. The icing barely has the flavor of lime. The icing and the filling are both sickening. Does not come close to having a key lime taste. Will not buy again. Regret spending money on this one. read more

could not get a fresh, hot, donut there! i went on my way to work, and got there as they were opening. sat in the drive thru way longer than i should have had to, and got cold ass donuts that were made the night before. could have gotten better at dunkin for less! The Kingsport Krispy Kreme keeps getting worse and worse. I don't go there often but half the time they don't have doughnuts and the other half the time they don't have hot chocolate. I will just go to Dunkin or Seavers from now on. I would give zero stars if I could, but I have to give at least one to post the review. read more

Nope. It's STILL horrible ... and worse. I made a special trip on Sunday morning after receiving an email (on Friday) for their Fall Orchard specialties. This location was out of the ingredients for 3 of the 3 specialty donuts and, then, had not even begun cooking the other 2 specialty donuts -- and it was 7:45 AM. No one cares. read more

I placed an order at 7pm for a 9:45pm pick up at the Kingsport location, order was paid for. Arrived at location and my order wasn't filled. They closed before 10pm. I called and talked to manager he was very rude and unprofessional. I also called their customer service line and they were also rude. So incredibly disappointed in how arak has gone downhill. I hadn't had a chocolate covered crepe filled in years and decided to splurge. Not even enough chocolate to cover the top and I didn't get a bite of crepe until I was 3/4 done with the donut, and the prices were insane. $10 for 5 donuts, I could probably order every donut Seaver's sells for that. Tried placing a huge pickup order for tomorrow for some essential employees and called probably 6 times trying to get someone to answer. Just stopped in and there were over 30 doughnuts laying in the floor behind the counter. Four employees standing around Nobody made an effort to even pick them up off the floor. There is nothing I love more than Krispy Kreme doughnuts but I turned and walked out because of how filthy it was. Truly made me sad. read more
