I've been to here twice. So far, I have not been disappointed. I ordered a dozen of their glazed donuts and a pretzel dog. Everything is freshly made and delicious. The employees are very polite and courteous. They have outdoor seating behind the building and outdoor furniture that you can buy. I will be back to get more donuts in the future. read more

My niece sent me here while I was visiting and I shall forever be grateful. Best doughnuts and soft pretzels I have ever had anywhere. ANYWHERE! The doughnuts are double the size of most doughnuts and doubly good. The pretzels are huge, butter basted, warm and delicious. It's not inexpensive but the tastes will cure you of any sticker shock. I spent $40+ for 1/2 dozen regular-1/2 dozen chocolate dipped doughnuts and 6 pretzels with dipping sauces and didn't regret a penny of what I spent. Came back on my way out of town and got a pretzel dog and pretzel for breakfast as well as some doughnuts for later. The food trailer in some of the pictures has been replaced by a building on the edge of Troyer's parking lot. You order at the window and most times there's going to be a line. It's a takeout business so you are on your own if you want to eat right away. The folks are friendly and efficient and orders are filled quickly once you get to the window. If you want to get a preview just search Auntie Ruth's on YouTube and enjoy. It's how I learned that there are a bunch of them in East Tennessee. I just know that if I didn't have enough incentive already to visit my niece then Auntie Ruth's finishes the job. read more

If you're expecting a typical every day donut coming here you're very wrong... These donuts are huge and they're a little different than a regular donut shop. It seems that they glaze all of them and then they top it with which ever one you decide. I got the espresso one but ended up wiping off most of the frosting because it's just too sweet. But it was very good. I also got the pretzel which is also ginormous. Next time I'll ask for it without salt because even wiping off all the salt it was still very salty but it was very very good and soft. If you don't have time and your rush then don't bother coming here because it was probably about a half an hour wait in line. read more

The pretzels are some of the best that I have ever had. We had jelly donut and chocolate covered custard donut. They were pretty big and fluffy. We only ate half of each. The jelly donut had about twice as much filling as most other donuts. They also had pretzel wrapped pretzels. The place was pretty busy and talking to some of the people the place is always busy. read more

Probably the best donuts and pretzels we have ever had. And they are huge! Great Customer service. Everyone was very friendly. We tried the donuts and pretzels at the Limestone location and had to go again, went to the Johnson City location. Both places are amazing and very cute. Will definitely go back when in the area. read more

Best doughnut ever let me just tell you my husband is a connoisseur when it comes to donuts and we'd love to try donuts from various different places and this place hands-down was worth the wait. We waited in a long line, but they moved quickly. They have super cute seating in the back to enjoy your doughnuts. We debated on which one to get and we ended up getting a lot of them and ate every one of them and they were absolutely the best donuts ever. You cannot go wrong with the glazed. It is so hot right off the line super Duper fresh. The cinnamon one was absolutely delicious. I think it was my favorite. The chocolate covered one is a little bit dark chocolate, some more cocoa powderIsh so my husband liked it more than I did but let me tell you we don't give fives and we definitely gave a five to this place hands-down, absolutely delicious. And to top it off, we started off with a pretzel. So if you're gonna cheat, this is a place to do it because it was absolutely phenomenal. super great friendly service and "have a blessed day!" Can't get any better read more

Best doughnuts and pretzels I've ever eaten! Was in town for a few days and wanted to visit all of the local spots. Everyone I talked to raved about Auntie Ruth's and it did not disappoint! There was always a line when I went but don't let that deter you-it moved fast and efficiently and my wait was only a few minutes. They have what appears to be a simple menu but once you smell the fresh bread and sugar, you'll have a hard time deciding what to choose. I went with the traditional doughnut and pretzel with cheese sauce. You can really tell that the items are made fresh and are homemade. The dough was airy and light and was the perfect balance of salty and sweet. It's probably one of the best pretzels I've eaten. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. You won't be disappointed! read more

Amazing donut shop, top five donuts in my lifetime. Also, they are huge and easy to share. Once you take a bite you might not want to though! read more

Best huge donuts in east TN. The glazed are scrumptious and have a nice vanilla flavor. Usually closed on Mondays but they were open for Labor Day. Beware of long lines as this place is in the parking lot of Troyers and just down the street from Brights Zoo (with the no spots baby giraffe). But the line goes fast as the employees work quickly to fill your order. Feel free to eat your donuts or pretzels on the beautiful front porch of Troyers. It's covered and has chairs and tables and rocking chairs. Be sure to follow Auntie Ruth's on social media for up to date hours and monthly flavors. They also do a weekly contest so check their stories for a chance to win a half dozen of your choice of glazed donuts or half dozen pretzels. read more

Auntie Ruth's food truck was at Hillbilly Days in Pikeville, KY and everyone in town raved about this truck for its pretzel. I'm from the west coast and can't pass up anything dough related so my boyfriend and I went in search of the truck. You could smell the goodness coming from this truck over all the other food stands around it! We ordered a glazed doughnut and a pretzel with honey mustard sauce. They were both made to perfection! The doughnut was soft, airy and light but full of the sweet goodness I'd expect from a doughnut. It had the perfect glaze on it too! The pretzel was chef's kiss though! It was soft on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside of it. It was buttery and full of savory flavor that went well with some honey mustard dipping sauce. I could've lived off these all weekend! The people serving were wonderful too! Cheery and sweet! Pair good service with some bomb food and I'll be back quick! read more

We drove an hour and a half because I'm visiting from Idaho. My daughter had been raving about this truck. Donuts were awesome. Texture was what I expected and wanted. They are big and oversized. Pretzels were the crowning glory for me. These were big and hot and buttery. I was kinda floored to tell the truth. Even hours later they were still good. Thanks for the experience...it really was worth the drive! read more

Big big food truck gal here! And donuts ofc. I mean fried dough and then sugar...what's not to like? Anyway, great experience here. They make it fresh right in front of you so it's pretty cool to watch and then the donuts just melt right in your mouth!! I'm from Memphis & a die-hard Gibson's fan but this one tastes just as good. I decided not to venture out to the other flavors this time because I feel like the glazed says it all about a donut place but would like to try next time. The lines are long but definitely worth your time!! read more

Good donuts, but nothing out of this world. They are made fresh daily, but the sauces they use for flavoring are not my favorite. I would stick to the glazed and the soft pretzels with honey mustard. read more

Service is friendly and efficient. The food is excellent!! The best pretzels I've ever had. I'm a sucker for their donuts, as well.

I have been a regular customer for the past 3 years. Quite refreshing to see how they continue to greet and serve the customers with a cheerful heart and always serving a delicious product, no matter how successful and how much they've grown over the years. There is a covered area in the back that just got built, but I think more for the intention to accommodate food fairs that are held during special occasions and weekends. Always looking forward to their pretzels and pretzel dogs ( although it seems the dogs have gotten smaller). The donuts are out of this world!!!! The waiting line is a good sign that they're worth waiting for. Don't be on a diet if you are coming. read more

The best doughnuts, pretzels and pretzel dogs we have ever had !! The family loves to go there. Always friendly staff!

You will probably never go back to Dunkin after one visit!!!! Cream filled to die for.

Visited the Troyer's Mountain View Country Market and Bear Tracks Coffee for their Monthly Food Truck Rally today and had the pleasure of visiting the Auntie Ruth's Donut & Pretzel food truck. It was the first planned must stop on my list. This java Junkie just had to try one of their limited Espresso donuts. It was light, fluffy, covered in a deliciously sweet & gooey frosting and kissed with espresso. I'm also a Pretzel fanatic & it's so hard to find fresh ones. The sourdough pretzels at Auntie Ruth's are also made on the spot! They're soft with just the right chewy texture and lightly salted to perfection with kosher salt. And a pretzel wouldn't be complete without a creamy cheddar nacho cheese dip to dip it in. Not only are they a delicious treat, but it's also fun to watch as they're making them. read more

100%, hands down, no questions asked my husband and I's favorite donut and pretzels. The pretzels are always hot and fresh, the donuts are as well and both are huge in proportion. We live about an hour from the closest one to us which is their Troyer's location in Limestone, TN. Pro-tip follow their Facebook to see where else they will be and what their food truck specials are. Limestone just opened up a storefront and has a variety of options. We have never got anything we didn't like. If you ever see the line, jump in and wait for a donut, you won't regret it. read more

If you're looking for an early Saturday morning treat on a beautiful spring morning, head up to the JC Farmer's Market. And if you peak the corner, you'll see a pretty long line of customers waiting to score themselves a donut or pretzel from Auntie Ruth's food truck at the top of the hill. They make some large donuts. But my favorite is a freshly made plain donut topped with whipped cream and fresh local strawberries or peaches (depending on the season). After taking a few suckers home, I wasn't too impressed with how their donuts stacked up when they were cold. So I have come to the very scientific conclusion that Auntie Ruth's donuts must be eaten right there on the spot for maximum deliciousness. The combination of friendly service, food quality, and pricing make Auntie Ruth's a staple of the Saturday's farmers market. I've spoken to loyal customers griping if Auntie Ruth's doesn't make an appearance one weekend. Is it overhyped? Perhaps. But nonetheless, they still serve a solid donut at a pretty decent price. You be the judge! Happy eating everyone! read more
