While on a longer trip, we decided to try this place we had heard about. Although off the interstate a bit, it was easy to find with a large sign on the front of the building. Located on the end of a strip mall, parking is plentiful. There are spaces adjacent to the building as well as across a traffic lane. I did not notice a specific handicapped space but since we were there later in the morning we were able to find a space near the front door. There is a step up to get onto the sidewalk as you enter. As you walk in, the display case is right in front. We had heard they sell out quickly, and the case was only half full when we got there. Still, the selection was large and had a good variety. The workers were very friendly and made several suggestions when we told them it was our first time there. Even a customer who came in after we started ordering gave a couple suggestions of her favorites. They have a good selection of gourmet donuts, with items like berries and custard, banana pudding, Oreo, German chocolate, etc. It would be impossible to not find something that piqued your curiosity. One thing I found unique and very appreciated was they fill your jelly donuts when you order them. That way they don't get soggy and break apart after sitting for a while. These are gourmet donuts done right. This will most likely become a regular stop for us as we travel through the area as they are definitely worth a side trip. read more

I wanted something sweet and luckily I came about Knead Donuts. Their breakfast sandwiches are perfect if you need something on the go. Their breakfast sandwich with sriracha and jalapeños is my favorite. I can't really say which donut was my favorite because I didn't try any that I didn't like, but if I was to pick the cronut with fresh strawberries and whip cream, pumpkin pie donut or just the plain long John donut. We like the donuts from Knead they are always fresh and lots of variety. You do have to get there early on the weekends because they are usually out of donuts by 10:30. The service is fast and the owners are super friendly. We love apple fritters and good ones are hard to find. The fritters here are really moist and full of apple pieces. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for awhile to check out. I think their pricing is a little high for this area. Average is $4 for one donut. One of the donuts, I asked if it was a cronut and she said no that's a cronut, pointing to a turnover. I said no that's a cronut- croissant/donut. But anyways I bought 4 donuts and a breakfast burrito. The burrito definitely is a pass because it was flavorless and you pay $7 for a burrito the size of a Taco Bell burrito. I've been past Knead donuts multiple times, but they've always been sold out or or closed. My sister and I decided on a recent trip, that we would get up early so we could go get some because we have heard rave reviews from other people. Wow, was it worth the early wake up call! These donuts were so fresh and delicious. No wonder he sells out every day! And as we were sitting at a table eating our breakfast, an elderly gentleman had came in, who apparently was a regular customer and had been under the weather. The owner asked him where he had been, and he said he had broken his leg and had had a stroke. When he went to pay for his food, the owner told him that it was on him. What a nice gesture! After that, my sister and I decided every time we would be making a stop! Another note is that the filled donuts aren't filled until you order, so they stay nice and fluffy! read more

Passing through the area and always want to try new places. We had three. The bacon maple was excellent. Definitely tasted like breakfast. The apple fritter and cinnamon roll were pretty average with not much apple or cinnamon flavor. But enjoy nice local places wherever we travel. read more

Knead Donut just moved to Jefferson City we were excited for a new business to come in. Today was national donut day and we wanted to support local business. When I arrived just after they opened, the woman working behind the counter sighed when I opened the door and asked if they were open. No greetings or anything she just seemed annoyed that I was even there. Soooo, I went outside to wait until they were "ready" to be open, even though I arrived after they had opened. After I was told that they were ready, I could come in I proceeded order a small latte and a dozen donuts. My total came to $54.00!!! I was told that I would get an 18% dozen discount which I did not receive. The donuts were good. But not $54 good and the customer service for being new to the area left much to be desired. We will not return. I hope they create a warmer more inviting atmosphere for future customers it's disappointing because we love to support local businesses. I'd rather make the drive to Ducks the service and price are better. read more

The donuts looked very good, but I wanted something a little more substantial so I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant. Super flaky, delicious croissant, but the contents were pretty lacking. Very thin, and leaves much to be desired for a satisfactory breakfast. However, the staff was really nice and the croissant itself was good. This was my first time stopping in there and I will definitely be back. We got a variety of doughnuts ranging from simple glazed, apple fritter, cream filled, and a strawberry cheesecake. They had a limited selection of doughnuts but each one we tried was excellent. They had a variety of fillings to choose from, we went with simple white cream filling, and they filled it right in front of us. The apple fritter was one of the best I had ever had and I consider myself a fritter fan. The place was clean. It smelled delicious inside. And the staff was very friendly. Knead Donuts opens up at 7 am I believe, and we arrived closer to 10 am. By that time, a noticeable amount of donuts were gone already but there was still a big variety of options. The small diner was constantly busy with hungry customer's coming and going and chatting it up with the front desk workers, that definitely speaks for the donuts and the friendly neighborhood vibe. We ordered their Apple Fritter donut, Blueberry, Chocolate, and their Pig in A Blanket ($3.50) with cheese. All looked delicious, but I had the delicious apple fritter donut. I wanted something a bit more solid for lunch, so I also ordered their Monster Croissant ($8.50) and it was dynamite. It came with ham, sausage, bacon, 2 eggs and cheese. Absolutely filling. I got a bite of the Pig In A Blanket, and that was great too. Prices were really reasonable for everything, with the donuts being under $2/donut. I've been wanting to check this place out since it opened a couple months back . The staff are very nice and friendly , and their donuts are very fresh . You can see the Baker continuously making donuts and makes them with pride . The store is very nice and clean .
