This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in the Lexington area. The workers are always in a great mood and very helpful. There has been a couple times when something I wanted was sold out, but they prepared my order when the truck came in. The seasonal selection is usually full of flavor. Even though Sunset is getting a bit crowded, getting in and out of this location isn't too bad. I look forward to coming back here. read more

Oh the nostalgia . I had my first Krispy Kreme donut here while visiting Grandma down in South Carolina maybe 30 years ago... We didn't have Krispy Kreme up North (and still don't have many) and it was quite an experience. I remember being smitten with the conveyer belt of fresh donuts wafting through oil like in a lazy river, then they are bathed in a waterfall of glaze and make their way to the crisp white box with a retro 50's vibe. Many years later and I was still in awe of being able to see behind the scenes at this location. I also love Krispy Kreme donuts; they are soft, sweet, and light. Way too easy to take a bunch down. Favorites include the basic glaze, cake glazed like the blueberry pictured, lemon/raspberry filled, and perhaps my ultimate fave is the crème filled Choco glazed. The crème at KK is like a hostess cupcake filling, whipped, sweet and sooo good. The shop was still running well and looked vibrant from the outside and delicious from the inside. The best donuts! Always have to get some specialty ones. The service is so so. Very slow line. A lot of times I do mobile orders and still have to wait when I get there. (which is 30 minutes from my house) I've had to stand inline so they could make my order after I got there which is complete crap. That defeats the purpose of mobile orders. read more

The staff here are so friendly and kind! I felt welcomed when I arrived, and there was a variety of donuts available. I also enjoyed the view to see the donuts on the line since they're made fresh. This location was clean and quick, too! The Scooby-Doo donut was supposed to taste like cake batter buttercream, but it wasn't really my favorite - just a bit too sweet for me. The Krispy Kreme in Cayce is the biggest one I've seen. We went through the drive thru to get donuts and the lady was really nice in helping with our options. We were kind of bummed that they were out of strawberry glazed donuts so we opted for chocolate. The hot sign was on so we already knew whatever we got was gonna be good. I quickly looked up the menu on their website and I got the pecan brownie donut (I think I got the name wrong) and lemon filled glazed donut. The pecan brownie was SO good. I love chocolate and pecans so that was the perfect donut. The lemon filled was good as well but the filling was so tart and it was so much of it, it kind of overpowered the donut. I had to scrape some of the filling out. I do wish they had more different flavored donuts because I feel like a lot of them are similar but nonetheless they are fresh and soft which makes them one of the best brand of donuts. The cake batter and NY cheesecake filled donuts are both creamy and Rick. The lemon filled is typical for the style, nothing amazing but lemony. The chocolate iced is a glazed with chocolate icing. My fiance and I visited this location on World Chocolate Day to purchase a half-dozen of the limited edition chocolate glazed donuts. When we entered the location, the line was nearly to the door. We ended up standing in line for about 45 minutes. During that time, there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency on the staff's part to take people's orders and keep the line moving. A large part of the problem was that the location didn't have enough hot glazed donuts (original or chocolate) running. So, when people were putting in their orders for one or the other, the staff was just waiting around for the donuts to be ready, instead of being efficient and taking other people's orders in line who may not have been interested in the glazed donuts and possibly shortening the line. What angered me further was that some of the staff were hiding the chocolate glazed donuts behind shelves, I assume so they could have for themselves later. When it was my turn to order, I ordered the hot glazed chocolate donuts and the server went to give me the cold donuts that had been sitting out for what I can only imagine to be for a while since I had been standing in line for nearly an hour watching the staff pack and stack donuts. Store hours were until 11:00 pm. They were closed at 7:00pm. The did not have any assorted donuts. We waited in drive thru over 45 minutes and still did not get the donuts we wanted. I've been trying to find out if this store has the spring mini donuts. I called this store 12 plus times through the day with no answer. The phone rings for minutes and hangs up. I sat in line behind ONE car for 10 minutes before sitting at the order screen for 10 minutes before anyone took my order. The middle of the day- not busy. Any time I come to this location the employees are very polite and welcoming. You can expect to have speedy services. The donuts are always fresh. Weather in the drive thru or inside. Use the online app to order a day before pickup. When we arrive we are told they cannot fulfill the order. Ask for a refund and told the we would have to use the app to ask for a refund. So we drove 25 miles to pickup our order and 25 miles with nothing in hand. Saw one employee touching and turning all the doughnuts on the assembly line with her dirty gloves after checking people out. She used those same dirty gloves to feed doughnuts through the icing machine! I don't know why the employees weren't using the white picks to pick up the doughnuts like they normally do!
