This is a great place to visit with the kids or out of town friends. You can stand at the glass ( like zoo animals ) and watch the sugary goodness be created in front of your very eyes. These donuts literally melt in your mouth. The serve pretty much all kinds of donuts and some assorted drinks. You know, you can get a Diet Coke or some skin milk to wash down the donuts. No other food. They do have a few tables where you can sit down to be your diabetes training ... Lol. Others have said it and I have no shame in repeating it, this is the best donuts in town! Absolutely no question about it. Not only are they the best, but you get to watch them get made right in front of your eyes. If you have kids, they will love watching the glaze as it drips on the donuts and the conveyor belt goes around the circle. It just looks awesome. Only thing is, make sure to eat them fresh. Krispy Kreme that you get at a gas station are nothing like it, so don't even attempt the comparison. This location always has friendly service and seems clean. Krispy Kreme donuts are unfortunately like Junior Mints for me...it's entirely feasible for me to eat a whole box of them without noticing it until they're all gone. Mmmm....three thousand calories in a box. I stick to the classic glazed donuts; I know they have lots to choose from but the old standard has me hooked. The neon hot donuts now sign is the proverbial flame to my inner moth-man. This is one of the cleanest and nicest K.K. locations I've been to. Krispy kreme doughnuts are crack when they're fresh and HOT. The reason why I'm giving it 1 star is that they often have the red-light ON, but when we go inside there are NO fresh doughnuts being made. We had to wait 25 minutes for the fresh doughnuts to be made. This has happened on more than one occasion and is now becoming deceitful, almost FALSE adveritsement. If you don't have hot doughnuts ready to go, don't turn on the HOT LIGHT. Seems like common sense, but whoever runs this place does not have common sense or is being deceitful. On a side note, there was a young guy that was handling the dough last night and he didn't have any gloves on....a little suspect. Secondly, the workers here are miserable, unhappy, unpleasant. One of the older ladies that was taking orders asked me what I wanted and I told her I wanted half a dozen, she responded with a "WHAT!!?" so I repeated myself and she just walked away. I was amazed how brazenly rude and unprofessional she was. None of them should be in customer service because they don't greet you, they're not efficient, and are very unmotivated to be efficient. Even with a super long line of customers inside, the big guy that was ringing people up were moving at slow pace, which infuriated everyone waiting in line where people started leaving. It's Krispy Kreme. Usually the doughnuts are hot here. On National Coffee Day the free ones were cold. No biggie. The place is pretty cute. Lots of space for working and chatting. They had the little KK hats on the tables too. I wanted to take one but thought, why do I need that? If you know anything about KK then you know those little hats I'm talking about. The coffee was not too tasty. Maybe it was the lack of creamer but it was waaayyyy to strong and it had a bad aftertaste. I ended up pouring it out. But the doughnuts....oh those are amazing. This is just how I remembered it when I first saw how the doughnuts were made in California. It brought back so many fun memories. I forgot that they sold more than just the glazed kind, and so I was in for a treat when I saw the full display of colorful doughnuts. I even tried some warm and it literally melted in my mouth. Leftovers are good too, but the only negative to eating them later is that you can start to smell the oil if it's placed in a small area. If you don't mind that, you can eat them for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or dessert! I just ate 6 of these, of a variety of sizes; my stomach is crying. It's like a block from my house and I can't help it; once a week I need to partake in Donuts and Friend Chicken. I LOVE Krispy Kreme doughnuts! About 5 years ago my grandma bought me a $50 gift card for KK (50 bucks, wtf!). I was living in Boston at the time and the Krispy Kreme two blocks from me promply closed its doors (freakin' low carb craze). I was always sad that I didn't have a Krispy Kreme close by, but now that I'm back in Atlanta I have a huge one right on Ponce! sweet! There's rarely a neon sign that can make you feel better when you see it than the "HOT Doughnuts" sign in the window here. Mmmmm...Doughnuts! When that fresh sign lights up, I sprint to this place only to literally drool over these tasty and fried little treats. First, the dough gets pumped out into the doughnut shape and is left to rise for a few minutes. Then, it gets plopped into the oil. Next, it gets flopped over to create that evenly golden hue. Then....and Then...Oh, It's my favorite part....!!!!!!!...it gets coated in the glossy sugary glaze! The blanket just covers the doughnut in a single woosh! Oh, yum -gooey goodness!
