Don't even know where to start. I'm in tears this was so amazing. First of all thank you to the staff that got my order perfect and it's the extra ketchup. The feel of siting at the picnic table is peaceful and enjoyable. The fried fish was dipped in gold filled flavors. Was so good I ate every bit of it. Wish I would have taken pics but couldn't contain myself. The fries were perfect and hot. The roll was mmmmm good. Not sure where they get their jalapeños but they are always perfect. I cannot express just how amazing this place is. The people are great and food is on another level. Forget the other chicken places . They can't compete. I will be going back. First timer. Showed up at about 1:15 so there were several people getting their lunch, at least one pickup using the drive thru. No wait, I ordered the #1 (2 pieces, mixed, with roll) and had a little chat with a couple of other patrons about how this was better than Bush's or Church's. Order was ready within 90 seconds. Hot! I love fried catfish, so I was really excited to hear that Krispy Chicken has it on their menu. They did not disappoint! The filets are SO big and cooked really well - not too over cooked/crunchy like at some places. I intended to eat two, but the first filet was so large I couldn't finish both. The only thing I ordered that I didn't enjoy was the french fries. It was as if they forgot to put any seasoning on them, so I added Tony Chachere's and then they were yummy! read more

July 25, 2023 Krispy Chicken 2307 Franklin Ave Waco, TX 76701 I've tried many different restaurants, gas stations, and mom and pop joints throughout the nation. I'm so glad I tried Krispy Chicken here in Waco. Their KRISPY, crunchy, moist and perfectly flavored fried chicken is among the VERY BEST I've eaten, and I've tried many top rated places in NY, NC, IL, KS, MO, WA, TX, CO...you get the point. Domino fried chicken in OK is very good and there was, hopefully still is, an absolutely delicious pressure cooked fried chicken place in downtown Spokane (I forgot the name), but Krispy Chicken beats them all! I was surprised that the Krispy Chicken tenders are Krispy and moist as well. The kind and experienced staff asked if I wanted sides, specifically mashed potatoes and gravy, but I chose to focus on the chicken. Maybe next time.... maybe. I will order the sweet biscuits next time I visit, too! Seriously I could go on and on, but I love Krispy Chicken!!! This is literally just a shack, but worth it in my opinion. Its all cash, but we got a wing/thigh meal and chicken tenders with gravy. The gravy was the best that I have had at fast food. Everything was fresh and it came out hot and fast. It was also super affordable, not much I could ask for. Even on a hot say with teh covered seating it wasn't bad.
