This place has one of the best Indian food, I have had outside India. I live in the U.S. and have tried Indian restaurants in numerous international locations. Mostly, I am disappointment. But, this place is amazing! Such perfect balance of spices. We ate dal makhni and shahi paneer. Shahi paneer was super delicious. My husband said and I quote "this is the second best dal makhni I have ever had". We went on a Sunday night and it was crowded and we had to wait outside. But the wait was worth it. We returned the next day for lunch . I guess calling in and making a reservation is a good idea if you are going for dinner. Staff is also very friendly.

Krishna 13 was a surprising discovery for me since it was just a block from where I was staying in Rome. I went on a weekday night and it was super packed. The Indian food was delicious and authentic. Get a 2-3 dishes and share if you are going with 2 people! They also give you a small platter of thin crackers plus 3 chutneys as an included appetizer they charge 1 euro on your bill. The flavors were pretty good but I thought that the portion sizes were a little smaller than I expected. I was also a little annoyed that they charged for white rice which should be included with the entrees. The ambiance of the restaurant was also pretty good but a little too dark--they should add some candles to the tables.

Great food in Rome with average customer service. Good ambiance. Menu offers north Indian food mostly

An Indian restaurant dressed in great decor with a limited menu, customized to meet Roman palettes. The spiciest dish they had was hardly spicy, and I found myself missing Moharaj from Madrid. It is good, but not great. If this is Rome's best, then a lot of folks are missing out.

Terrible food. No taste at all, and tons of salt. The only thing you can taste is salt. Avoid this restaurant, not worth going.

Really good food. The service is slow as it seems to be the case in Italy.

Everything we ordered form the kabobs to the rice to the masala chai was just spot on! The portions are smaller than what we get in the US so def order multiple quantities a for groups larger than 2 ppl. The service was prompt and to the point, and our food came out in a good amount of time. Cute decor inside and plenty of seating for all group sizes. I'd def add to my list when in Rome!

Needed more achar, but it was removed once the appys were done. We ate most of the achar straight out of the dish for want of more spice and flavour. The food here is very middle of the road but will satisfy one's curry cravings. The channa with paneer (ceci curry) was good, the baingan bharta was missing depth and that lovely roasted flavour. The masala lassi was very plain, no real masala. A bit overpriced for what you get in my opinion. Not sure I'd come back, would probably try something else, though this spot looked to be the cleanest of those along this particular street. It was also the only one without leering be-capped creeps hanging outside the front door. Yeesh

We were given a different dish, without consulting with us, and when we paid the bill the staff boasted that the replacement dish was complimentary, yet they still charged us for the fossilized Kofta. We really regret we haven't gone there before so we could go again. The atmosphere is so cool and the decoration is very nice. Service is more the perfect and the food...wow you don't know what good food is before you try what this little place has to offer! We're vegetarian and they have a whole page of vegetarian dishes(you can find a picture of the vegetarian menu in my photos). So I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for awesome and affordable vegetarian food. Also the prices are very very cheap! Super highly recommend!!! Thank you Yelp for not disappointing again, and thank you Little India for a beautiful evening!

In fact I enjoyed it so much, could happily marry the cook and it was a highlight of our trip to Rome, that we lucked out and found this restaurant. Apart from the food, both Sukhwinder and Asad were fabulous servers. I want to especially give a shout out to Asad, as he was uber prompt and attentive in anticipating our eating needs. Food wise, I can honestly recommend everything! We tried four different main dishes and each of them had their own distinctive flavor: 1) Mutton curry: the taste of the curry was so good, perfectly spiced and the mutton pieces were rich and flavourdul, making every bite a sheer delight. 2) Palak Paneer: luscious, creamy and earthy. Wonderful taste of the spinach and just the right amount of paneer. Very well balanced flavours 3) Dal Makhani: blissfully melt-in-your-mouth flavors, and tasted of proper ghee! the lentils were perfectly cooked and I couldn't stop going back for another bite, and then another bite, and then just one more bite.. 4) Gobi Aloo: the potato in this dish (le sigh!) so creamy and tart and the cauliflower pieces were just in that perfect state of al dente! Both the Tandoori Roti and the Vegetable biryani was amazing as was the Lassi and the Desserts: 1) Pistachio Kulfi: OMG. Melt in the mouth and creamy - absolutely gives the local gelato a run for its money. 2) Gulab Jamun: warm and perfectly cooked fought that was in just the right amount of sugar syrup! I really couldn't decide which Main course dish or dessert was my fave, it was all just do super delicious! So if you too find yourself in the vicinity of the Colosseum and want a change instead of pasta, heartily recommend coming here to get some Indian food instead!!! Yelp 275/ 2018
