We did long story short he said he was 10 mins away from where he dropped us off we can meet but it would cost us $40.00. Now do the math he took advantage of the situation. $45.00 for 1/2 then $40.00 for 10min. I had no problem paying for his time but I don't like being taken advantage.

A-1 taxi is our new go-to taxi service…read more Taking frequent international trips necessitates reliable transportation to the airport. We've tried them all in Nashville, but we've finally found the most reliable, punctual, friendly taxi service. The A-1 driver was early, patiently waiting for our family to gather our belongings, alerting us to his presence and giving us all the time we needed. He efficiently navigated morning rush hour and dropped us off at the airport in plenty of time. The van was noticeably in much better condition than other transportation services. Yes, most airport transportation is the same with very little variation, but there is something special about A-1 that has made us customers for life.

I was lucky enough to get picked up by green Cab driver, Salem, at Nashville International the other day. He was more than pleasant and offered to handle my taxi needs over the next couple of days here, including picking me up from the Gaylord this morning at 4am! He came through each day, as promised, and I appreciate his reliability. Thanks, Salem and Green Cab, for taking such good care of my transportation needs in Nashville.

YESSSSSS! A thousand times, YES!…read more I'm a transplant from Seattle. We survived just fine on one car there, but it's been a bit more challenging here (though it can be done!). Add to the mix a broken ankle and I've had to get creative. I'm not a huge fan of Taxi transportation in general, so I usually research pretty heavily before I call. I was so relieved to see a cab company that prides themselves on training, customer service and clean cabs. Not only clean physically, but clean for the environment. All of their cabs are hybrids. Score! I made my first appointment online via their website. It was seamless. They called to confirm and had everything set. I had to reschedule and did that over the phone which was a breeze as well. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. My driver was unbelievably sweet. She came to my door, helped me with my crutches, getting my purse together, getting in the car etc. I've never experienced such a friendly, sweet demeanor from a cab driver. She was swift, knew all the shortcuts and kept me laughing the whole way. Keep Green Cab's number in your phone and give them a try! I won't call anyone else whether I need a ride to a Drs apt, or a ride to get my drunk butt home. Remember, a cab is always cheaper than a DUI.

If you're traveling in Nashville, I highly recommend LYFT. The prices were cheaper than other…read morerideshare services, and the rides were reliable. I'm not sure how public transit works in Nashville, but it's not DC or NYC. You need a car, and if you fly in for a few days and don't rent a car, LYFT is for you. My drivers were all five star. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because you must check the license plate on the back of the car before getting in. In South Carolina, where I live, rideshare drivers are required to have a light on the front of the car with the name of the service, as well as the license plate number. I believe that is a state law in SC, but I wish all rideshares required it. It pays to check because a lot of cars look alike, and you must put safety first. In addition- if you're partying downtown, please call a LYFT. Don't drink and drive- LYFT is inexpensive and 100% worth it.
