There are so many ways to get yourself secured in the word of God. There are many things to help you not only in your spiritual journey but also the realities of life. I have taken theology in school for many years and this church just helps to increase my understanding. That's what people of faith should strive for...not to know all that is divine but to have knowledge of what is true about God and what is corruption of the Word. Know Him for yourself not what someone else has told you to be the truth. This church offers that guidance to get you there.

I pray the Lord continues to bless this wonderful body of Christians, led by William Lawson, Pastor emeritus and Dr. Cosby, the Pastor of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. Pastor Cosby and others have strived to make this a warm and friendly church environment and a great help to the community, also.

But after my son has had amazing teachers for both Pre-K4 and Kindergarten, I can without a doubt say that we've had nothing but great experiences with this school. The teachers are in constant communication with the parents and my son has learned so much! They really do work with each child individually to make sure each child succeeds. I also love that they have the little kids team up with the bigger kids for chapel. My son's "chapel buddy" (a 4th grader) is so sweet with him! We've also seen him at the little league baseball field and he always gives my son a hug (which makes my son BEAM). This school truly shows God's love by how the staff and teachers treat their students and parents.

I would not recommend Devine Savior Academy near Houston, Texas…read more Our experience with this school was extremely disappointing. We paid the enrollment fees, completed the process they requested, and after that, communication completely stopped. I called multiple times and was repeatedly told that someone would reach out to us, but nobody ever did. Now they are refusing to refund the enrollment fee despite the lack of communication and follow-up from their admissions team. What is even more concerning is that in an email today, they stated that they believe their communication was handled appropriately. Honestly, what a shame. Ignoring families, failing to follow up, and then refusing accountability is not proper communication. A student will made you tour the school and their admission lady will show up at the end to give you the enrollment document. I should have understand their lack of consideration right away I truly wish I had seen the warning signs earlier. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this school to other families.

A good school starts with strong leadership and the elementary/middle/high school principals are strong leaders. We like that DSA teaches accountability, among other things, which is generally lacking in society these days. Perhaps in part because they are part of a network of several other DS schools, they seem very well structured in all aspects, including communication with parents, curriculum, and school operations. While they are small (but growing), they function as well as or better than a larger school. The homework load seems very well balanced, especially compared to their previous school. The teachers are excellent and everyone is very nice. The students are good kids and we've been impressed with the behavior and politeness of our kids' friends. The parents we have met are very nice with similar family values. We hoped we would find a community, and we have made new friends with othe families through our kids and their friends. Despite the small size, the school offers several sports programs, including football and volleyball, and is very competitive against schools that are much larger. They built a new middle/high school building last year and it is a top class facility. Great gym, big, modern classrooms, great courtyard, multipurpose chapel, and more. Tuition remains very reasonable in comparison to other private schools in the Houston area, especially considering the low teacher:student ratio.

In fact, this was probably the most high-church Novus Ordo mass I have been to. Everything except the readings were sung. The lectors did a particularly good job, I thought. It is a big church, and the 10 am Mass spilled into the overflow room, so there are a lot of EMHCs if that bothers you. The homily was on the long side, and I'm not a big fan of second offerings, but those are minor pet peeves. Overall, it was great and I would be happy to attend again.

Overall though this church has definitely improved and I pray for the preists and congregation.

After researching daycares in the area and seeing all of the glowing reviews for The Wiggle Room, we decided to make the longer drive and now we completely understand why so many families love it there. From the very beginning, The Wiggle Room has given us a level of peace of mind that no other daycare has. The communication from both the teachers and director is always prompt, professional, and caring. One of the biggest differences we noticed was the stability in staffing. My daughter has had the same teachers the entire time she has attended, which has allowed her to feel safe, comfortable, and truly build meaningful relationships. At her previous daycare, there was constant turnover, and it created a lot of instability for her. The growth we have seen in our daughter academically has been incredible. Her speech, writing, and reading skills have absolutely skyrocketed thanks to their curriculum-based learning and guidance. She recently completed their Pre-K program and is now preparing to start kindergarten in the fall. The Wiggle Room has truly set her up for success. She has learned how to write, identify and read sight words, name all 50 states, and follow classroom instruction confidently and independently. Beyond academics, they also create such a fun and loving environment for the kids. From splash days to holiday-themed activities and special events, there is always something exciting for the children to look forward to. Most importantly, my daughter genuinely loves going there. She adores her teachers and the friendships she has made along the way. Every day I drop her off knowing she will be loved, cared for, and treated like family and as a parent, that feeling is priceless. We are so grateful for everything The Wiggle Room has done for our daughter and our family.

With both of my toddlers, I have always received prudent and timely reports about incidents (self-inflicted, as the instigator or from a friend). When I have raised concerns, teachers (and at times the director) have responded promptly and sincerely to discuss and find a resolution. For example, when my son was in the 2-year-old class, he was experiencing frequent biting incidents where he was on the receiving end. The teachers were kind and listened to my concerns. They shared that while unacceptable, biting was a common form of expressing big feelings and also shared tools, phrases, and mitigation tactics that they are employing in the classroom. At home, we also worked with our son to help him express his need for space/quiet time and to read more books about sharing and taking turns. We saw continued improvement, and as he grew up, fewer incidents. Our daughter is now an 18-month-old and has a biting problem at home. We shared this with the teachers to make them aware, and they assured us that she has not bitten any of her friends. They have started reading books about keeping her hands to herself, and we work with her at home as well. I absolutely recommend the Wiggle Room to any mom. We live 30 minutes away, and the drive is worth the fantastic support we receive as parents and the superb quality of care and education our children receive. I hope this review is helpful to parents.
