The school is great, not too big with wonderful, caring teachers, staff, and administrators. Leaving my daughter for the first time was hard, but the loving and caring teachers made our first real experience of leaving my daughter in the care of others as easy as possible. They take great care of my daughter, teaching her valuable life skills (potty training! Skipping! Sharing with friends!) as well as preparing her for school with pre-reading skills, counting, and even Spanish classes for 3+ year olds. I love how involved I can be with the teachers and my daughter's class, and they have lots of excellent activities and "fun days" in addition to the regular learning. Small class sizes, reasonable tuition and loving, accessible teachers and administrators make Clay Road our go-to recommendation to all our friends with kids looking for childcare options. Meta Community is for the adult and working professional (equivalent to Sunday School for grown-ups), and there are yearly retreats for youth, men, or adult groups. Baptism classes are scheduled every few weeks and me and my best buddy Allen were baptized by Pastor David Hsu. This is where Jesus is lifted up always. Even though the church has a large membership and growing, there are 4 services, so the effort has been made for all to attend. There is bible study, many programs to help with everyday life. The ushers and greeters are friendly. I would recommend this church if you want to grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. AND, if you want to learn the bible,, the truth of God's word. Sent two daughters through HCHS…read more I felt compelled to write a review because the negative comments out there do not reflect our experience, nor the experience of anyone we know. Both of my daughters were able to play their favorite sports, academically challenged, well-prepared for collegem and accepted into Texas A&M's Mays Business School. The school did an incredible job supporting them both academically and the individual attention went beyond expectations for thier specific needs. Tutoring is free/included and easy to access before school after school, during lunch and ILT. Every parent-attended event blew me away. The campus gives a mini-college vibe / nostalgic high-school feel, wrapped in Christianity. It's a SUPER small enrollment ~550, which means it won't be/can't be everyone's cup of tea. If negative comments are giving you hesitation, please don't let that sway you. Go see it for yourself. Do a shadow day, watch a show, visit a pep rally, or attend a home game. You'll feel the energy, see the warmth in community, and the heart of this school immediately -- and ONLY then will you know whether these are "your people," too.
