I've had a few issues in the past with other teachers (they no longer work for th, but as soon as I brought it to Vicki's attention, she took care of it right away. Even after the issues, she always made sure everything was to my liking. My kids have been coming to this specific KinderCare for 5 years! Mind you this was on her very first day. Second time it was just her undies , her bottom was clean as if she went restroom before and they had to have seen her undies dirty but were to lazy to change them and left them on her . All of this resulted in her getting a rash. Her last day there I picked her up brought her home and checked her and sure enough her bottom was dirty again after I just spoke with Vicky the manager for this location. I did send her email after the second time and was addressed in person that it may have been her fault and she may have missed it cause she herself took my daughter to restroom right before I arrived. She had been taking my daughter to and from restroom and keeping an eye on her since the first incident. In my opinion she shouldn't have to watch over her employees or to make sure their job is being done right. If she felt the need to do this than that person should not be employed. The teachers seem lazy and don't seem to care much if something like this repeatedly happens. Not sure why a manager would try to cover for an employee and place the blame on herself. This was just unacceptable. I asked for a meeting with both manager and assistant via email to which I was not answered she just spoke to me in person when I picked my daughter up. Seemed very jittery and brought up other things that did not pertain to the issue I was having. I did tell her how is it only my daughter coming home like this? I would hope if another parent had an issue like this that it would be addressed but was told it never happens so it was just my daughter. There is so much more I wish to write but I feel I touched the most important topic. Wouldn't trust this place or Kinder care in general . Honest review!

Choosing a school for my two-year-old, with a newborn in my arms, broke me. I cried before his…read morefirst day and the whole drive home. It was the hardest decision I've ever made, and I wouldn't undo it for anything. My son had two words when we started at Mariner: ball and pop. I had never heard him call me Mama. I tried everything: Ms. Rachel, one-on-one practice, a speech therapist. Nothing opened the door. Then, two weeks in, he saw me and said, "Mama." I barely let myself believe it. By week three he was waving hi and bye. By week four, his words had more than quadrupled. He was counting, naming colors, singing songs with every motion. There is no better word for it than a miracle. And the part that undoes me most: he has friends. I used to carry so much guilt that he didn't have other little ones around him to grow with. Now he walks into class and the other toddlers run to hug him. It was a leap of faith, and it carried us somewhere I'd only dreamed of. My son calls me Mama now. Thank you, Ms. Renee, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Ashay. I'll be grateful for the rest of my life.

As much as I wanted to like this school because of the initial tour (which is gonna be the only…read moretimes that you might ever see a director or the owners) and the proximity to us, the experience for us was disappointing on many levels. We left three years ago after several months of enrollment, yet I STILL have negative feelings about our time there and unfortunately, I continue to hear from others about some of the same issues. I was initially very enthusiastic about Mariner and even recommended it to two friends, both of whom stayed And were quite happy. In my case unfortunately, things did not work out and turned unpleasant quickly. In my son's class, one wonderful teacher left, followed shortly by the other. Within a short period of time, the class went from a teacher-to-child ratio of approximately 1:8 to 1:22 children. The replacement teachers who showed up over night were very young, no native English speakers and without credentials or experience I would expect from teachers responsible for so many young children. More concerning to me were the safety issues. On two occasions, my son came home with unexplained bruises. The second incident ultimately led me to withdraw. I received him back with a huge bruise, and no one at the school could explain how it happened! Two days later was then told that he 'had a habit of rubbing his head against the carpet'--something he had never seen before and I have never seen since. During my meeting with the director, it became obvious that someone was not watching my son and he got injured, but they were not clear about how it happened. Do not send your child here! We immediately withdrew and while Ms Jenny and Ms Pat handled the situation courteously and refunded tuition and deposit without delays, the experience left me deeply concerned. During the time my son was enrolled, there was also an extraordinary amount of staff turnover. Several teachers who had left stayed in touch with us and told us they had left because of poor working conditions and low pay ($13/hr). There was also a woman at the front door (Ms Jessica 2021-2023) who was consistently rude and made morning drop-off unpleasant for families. She was eventually replaced only after she moved to New York. Another thing that always bothered me was the overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals. I understand and appreciate the importance of cleanliness, but my son would often come home smelling strongly of Fabuloso. It was so strong that I found myself wondering whether the school was relying too heavily on chemicals rather than using more thorough cleaning methods such as deep or steam cleaning. I genuinely dreaded that smell when I picked him up. To make a long story short, there are better options out there. After leaving Mariner Montessori, we enrolled our son at Children's Village in West University, and our experience there was absolutely wonderful year after year. Mariner Montessori was a very difficult experience for us, and unfortunately, even years later, I still have not forgotten it. I heard a similar concerns from another parent, and finally decided it was important to share my experience as well. I hope this helps other families make an informed decision. Each school has their pros and cons.
