Mariner is not just a daycare or school, it was a safe and happy second home for our son. If we didn't have to move, we would have kept him here for all of preschool. The school's curriculum, cleanliness, and teachers' individualized attention for each student are reasons why Mariner is a 4/4 star Rising Star school. Also, Mariner's playground is hard to beat - which is why Jax's favorite time during his days here was being outside! For the entire 1.5 years at Mariner, our son had consistent and loving teachers from start to end during his time here. This school was a happy place for our son and we owe it to the teachers and staff who care and dote on him. Thank you to Ms Sharon for your patience and being the first teacher in my son's life. Thank you to Ms Nancy and Ms Michelle for potty training our son and for cultivating a fun and safe environment where he created his first friendships in his life. From the bottom of our hearts, we're incredibly grateful to all the staff and teachers who played a part in developing our son's independence, curiosity, and politeness. We felt like everyone treated him with special attention - any parent can't have been more pleased to have this for their child.

I love everything about this daycare. They are beyond being a daycare even for infants. I love their curriculum and all that they teach. The teachers are amazing and everyone there is so so caring and LOVING! I have been the happiest with my baby attending the school and being part of the Mariner family. Thank you to all their teachers, specially the ones my baby has had. Ms Claudia, Ms Maria, Ms Lupita, Ms Eugenia and we love Ms Jenny Thank you for being so so amazing with my baby. We love y'all

I'd like to share an update since my last review. The school, staff, and curriculum are still wonderful! My children have thrived with the amount of support and guidance given by the wonderful teachers. When I drop them off at school they run towards the building with huge smiles. I can tell they truly love being there. The teachers work with me & my husband during transitions and fussy phases to make sure we're all on the same page with how we respond. The school has added extra curricular activities (Ballet, Soccer, Tumblebee Bus, etc) and my oldest absolutely loves participating in these. Mariner Montessori is the first place I recommend to any parents looking for a school.

For anyone considering daycares in the Galleria area I strongly urge you to visit Mariner Montessori. My daughter is 5 and currently in their Primary Class under the direction of Ms. Fatima, Ms. Mona, and Ms. Emily; and I can not express my gratitude enough. My biggest anxiety is hoping I have left my most loved possession in good hands, and that she is safe and learning in a fun environment. This school and these three teachers far exceed my expectations on a daily basis and I feel it's important to share. I'm a single dad with a demanding job and it isn't easy keeping up with school events and curriculums. These teachers make my life so much easier by always communicating and keeping me in the loop on menus, learning agendas, and the day to day happenings with my daughter. It makes me so proud to see how much my daughter's mind is growing and how ready for the next level she is. I see how her teachers are so loving and nurturing and how well they know the needs of each kid. I have spoken with other parents for this class who share the same views of how amazingly lucky we are to have them. My daughter is learning lessons in life, and manners, and broadening her curiosities. She says phrases in other languages and asks me how my day was! :) But most importantly, she tells me she loves going to school and learning, and loves her teachers and making friends. I owe the credit for that to these very special ladies who take the best care of my kid in every way a parent would want to, and to the Directors Ms Georgette & Ms Angelica too. Mariner's Primary Class is a Godsend and we couldn't be happier. Go see it for yourself! Bring on Kindergarten, we're ready! Thank you Mariner for all you have done for us!

    Classroom

Teachers and facility here are excellent! They have a very big playground, the classroom is big and tidy. Also, the teachers are experienced and very nice! The location of this school is also great! It is close to Galleria. If you work or live nearby, it is very convenient!

We have been part of the school for 10 years and have experienced multiple classrooms and grade levels across 3 children who each started in the Young Children's Community (as toddlers). Our eldest is on the verge of entering the Middle School, and it is clear that her experiences at the school thus far, along with the experiences of our other children, have established a deep love of learning, curiosity, self motivation, and innovation. It is such a special place. If you are looking for a place where your kids can both excel academically and also understand the importance of kindness, gratitude, and service, this is the school, and it is without equal.

As a member of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), this school is one of the top. The children learn thorough academics, develop a true love of learning and exploration, and become very independent and responsible. "The Post Oak School is an educational leader both among Houston's top private schools and among the more than 5,000 Montessori schools across the country. Post Oak serves students from age 14 months through 8th grade, and is one of the U.S.' oldest Montessori schools (the oldest in the Southwest and one of only three Houston AMI schools). It has attracted an accomplished team of faculty and staff and built a campus dedicated to learning. The Post Oak School helps shape consistently high achievers."

We were worried and didn't know where to turn. From day one, Ms. Jessi and the entire staff were incredible. They worked patiently with him while also equipping us with valuable resources and guidance to support him at home. I especially appreciate that The Mays School brings excellent therapists directly onto campus, so my son received consistent help without the stress of driving to multiple appointments. Ms. Jessi's deep knowledge of neurodiversity has been invaluable. She not only helped my son thrive during his time at The Mays School, but also guided us in finding the right next school to continue his growth. Because of the care, patience, and expertise of The Mays School, my son has made tremendous progress both socially and emotionally. We are deeply grateful for this school and its dedicated staff who have made such a meaningful difference in his life.

The owner is currently doing so to silence me at this very moment. That's why they have nothing but 5 stars. In my opinion, the owner is unstable and encourages a cult like toxic environment. What they don't want you to know is the school is not accredited and is not Montessori. They are not associated with Montessori in any shape or form. They claim to be inspired by Montessori. In my opinion, not a lot of learning happens here, let alone Montessori inspired teaching. To give you an example, my daughter was writing letters in sand at an age where she should have started learning phonetics and started reading. Once I figured out that she wasn't learning anything I quickly started looking for a new preschool. In the meantime my daughter was being spit on daily by another child. I addressed this with the teacher many times with no avail. I told the mother of the child and because of that my child was expelled. Yes, that was my offense. In the time it took me to go get my child (this was the middle of the day when they expelled my 4 year old) they treated her so horrifically that she developed panic attacks. It took months for her to recover mentally. I know of other people who have had similar experiences. The cult like environment is so intense that they bully anyone who leaves the school or writes anything negative about this school. I would not recommend anyone to attend this school.

She was previously at Primrose greenway but bc of the pandemic we no longer had to drive into the office so we found FLDS and it's amazing! So much better than PR and the staff are so caring and know EVERY CHILDS NAME!!! Expect a special event/party for every major holiday (soooo cute to see the kids happy and excited) it's a small 60-64 student school so the attention each staff member gives to every child is wonderful! They are education based (not 100%play based) which is great bc they prepare your child for Kindergarten. There's plenty of play time as well but they teach them to be independent and learn abc, numbers and most importantly being kind and polite and treating each other w respect. They do chapel time once a week and pray before they eat which is amazing! If you are lucky enough to attend this school you won't regret it! (There's always a waiting list)
