Ms. Mona and Ms. Cissy in the Infant class provided such loving and attentive care. In the Toddler class, Ms. Gabby and Ms. Grace were amazing in supporting her talking and communication development. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for creating such a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment. We truly appreciate everything you do!

My youngest has had Ms. Gabby and Ms. Destinee - both wonderful teachers who genuinely love children. You can see the warmth radiate out of them. Their high energy paired with their patience and ability to teach young kids amaze me daily. My oldest recently came out of Ms. Peace (who is incredible!!) and is now in Ms. Lavanya's class, the care that both teachers provide my son have been immeasurable. Not only do they provide a safe space for all the kids, they take the time out to learn about each student. All while providing follows up to how my son is doing and informing me of his advancements. I know my kids are in good hands at MRA. Their curriculum is beyond what I could have imagined. They truly follow the Montessori and STEAM way.

She will be joining the emerging first grade program in the fall. From the moment you step into Blossom there's a sense of curiosity wonder and amazement at the endless possibilities of creativity one can imagine. Even as an adult I wanted to go to school here! This is a child led program and my daughter is blooming learning so much, right now she's very focused on sewing ! She designed her first dress this spring and loves cooking and learning with her peers in an intimate class setting. I really appreciate the teachers participation in her enrichment and I'm so glad my daughter is open to being taught by them. We are so fortune to have found this gem in Houston! He comes home with evidence of a day well-spent in PLAY and FUN! He has grown so much since attending this school. When he began at Blossom Heights he was barely talking- he now speaks in full lengthy sentences with vocabulary that amazes me. He can problem solve and make plans for what he wants to achieve. Emotionally, he is more pulled together than I am! All of his emotional, social, and academic needs are met! His teachers LOVE him and SHOW him love consistently throughout each day. Pictures are worth a thousand words, as his teachers will frequently document his adventures and send daily photos through their Bright Wheel app for parents. Teachers take part in multiple professional development trainings and quality improvement programs throughout the year to ensure children are receiving the BEST care possible. We love Blossom Heights and know that you will to!

I just wanted to share that my daughter, thanks to the excellent instruction and personalized…read moreattention that she received at SNS, had absolutely no problem acing HISD's G&T testing this year in Kindergarten. She consistently gets top grades in her class, and we thank SNS for preparing her so well, academically and socially, in their pre-K programs. SNS transformed my shy little girl - who had spent the first years of her life at home during the pandemic - into a confident, smart little social butterfly. My son, attending SNS for summer camps, has also benefitted from SNS academically and socially. Being with slightly older classmates over the summers pushed him ahead of the curve, and he was popular among the younger kid crowd, as the older brother to my daughter. P.S. I believe first responders and BCM employees receive a discount on registration, and the school offers a sibling discount on tuition, as well. Cannot recommend this school enough!

This review is a little long because I have a lot to say about this school. TL;DR -- lots of…read moreschools have great academics but not so great social environments. Saint Nicholas has top-ranking academics, sure, but, what my children learned about themselves and their peers, and how deeply their teachers cared about and fostered that, is what really made this school the very place for my 5 preschool through elementary children. To put this review in perspective: when I was a child, my family moved to Houston and surveyed top local private elementary schools to enroll me in. I attended one, then another top local private school. Both were academically quite excellent, completely in keeping with their reputations. Unfortunately they were also very cliquish, and because I was the new kid, it took quite a lot of time and effort to fit in, despite having experienced a very loving, inclusive, and thoroughly enjoyable social life at my previous schools. Looking back now, I can understand that the social environment was simply unhealthy at both these Houston private schools. In fact, though I loved learning, my ability to learn and thrive academically was severely compromised by the social situations at these schools. So here's my review of Saint Nicholas: when it came time for my own children to find a private preschool, kindergarten and elementary school to attend, I wasn't going to assume the social environment at a private school would be healthy, inclusive, loving, or provide a positive social foundation. And, though of course I wanted my children to have the very best educational foundation possible, to provide them with the greatest optionality for later educational and career choices, I also knew that the social and emotional environment at a school is equally important -- possibly even more important, because of the foundational nature of what a young child comes to learn about their own innate value as a human being by how others relate to them. I, and more importantly my children, found Saint Nicholas to be the same kind of positive, inclusive, encouraging environment that I had experienced myself at the private schools where I had thrived as a child. Classmates were friends. Positive and respectful interactions with classmates were expected, encouraged, and fostered. It's all about the teachers! The teachers at Saint Nicholas are actually aware of how the students interact, they actually care about this just as much as excellent teaching and excellent curriculum, and, they are very gifted at not only helping the students learn greater social skills, but inspiring them to want to. And these teachers have been at Saint Nicholas school for a long time. Saint Nicholas will probably show you their top-ranking academic test scores and student accomplishments, or maybe you'll hear anecdotal stories from other parents about how their child went from being behind academically, to being ahead academically in just one year. But that's not what mattered to me, and I don't think it happens just because of academic excellence. I certainly don't think high national test scores tell the whole or even the most important part of the story. I think what matters most about a school is what the child learns about themselves, and the value of every human being. At Saint Nicholas, my children learned that they were smart, capable, and valuable. They learned that they could thrive in both inter-dependent and independent endeavors. They learned that they were worthy of both respect for who they were, and being called into the greater self they were growing into. Again - it's all about the teachers. The school administration is capable enough, but I don't believe a school can administrate this. Saint Nicholas has somehow gathered and kept some truly phenomenal and caring teachers.

We came to Esperanza upon recommendation from a family friend with a child and we are SO GRATEFUL for that recommendation. Our child is currently in the 3-4s class called the Angelfish which is led by Ms Lisa and Ms Ruby. Prior to entering angelfish, our child was VERY clingy, very quiet around her peers, and ALWAYS had to have her stuffie. Sure it was cute, but when you literally cannot go one single place without a stuffed animal and God forbid you lose the stuffie I felt like my little kiddo was hanging onto being a baby for as long as possible. There were noticeable positive changes once she entered angelfish classroom, the teachers were kind and encouraging but they stuck to certain boundaries which I REALLY appreciate because I know children need structure, clear rules, and a safe and nurturing environment to thrive but sometimes it's hard doing that for the few hours of time you have with your child at home. Although our child was very very nervous to make the transfer to her new class, we noticed within a month or two, she loved her stuffie but no longer needed it everywhere she went. She regularly started using new positive/kind language (which she got from her teachers :) ), she became much more social with kids at the parks, she would sit and eat her ENTIRE meal before getting up to play. The list goes on. These may sound like small things or things that might naturally have occured at her age, but we know these things in particular were highly motivated and clearly demonstrated at her daycare on a consistent basis. Outside of our childs behavior, my husband and I have been so impressed with the thorough communication from the teachers and the school. Esperanza and their teachers are highly communicative and do so in respectful manners. We also really like the teachers in general. Ms Lisa, Ms Ruby, Ms Franny, and Ms Tina, Ms Lydia and Ms Valerie have all been great to get to know over the last 1-2 years. I'm also so surprised that even though the school is quite large, MOST teachers we walk past know our child's name and always greet her (teachers I've never seen or met. I ask my child who they are and if they're nice and she's always replied that they are super nice to her ) I'm so glad that we chose Esperanza where there are like.. literally 6-8 playgrounds for kids to play, high parent and teacher engagement, and a safe space for our little one to grow into a big girl We are especially grateful to Ms Lisa and Ms Ruby as this is our last few months at Esperanza before we move states, they've been such great leaders for our classroom and I know all the angelfish parents feel this way as we get together quite frequently and I've only ever heard positive remarks about our teachers
