Looked at the 'job', he emailed estimate that evening a very accurate, cost of everything going line by line. We had requested a start date for the job, no problem. He told us how much tile would be needed. We ordered from Home Depot. Rob had it picked up . On start day a crew showed up, as some of them started ripping bathroom apart. they also put down a 4' wide paper walk way so they weren't making a mess from bathroom to door. Super nice crew if I bothered them with a question they actually explained what they were doing. WOW I liked that. When the last guy left everything was cleaned up by them. Mike's wasn't the lowest bid, but it was the only one without contingencies, and the only one which stated up front that his crew would remove the old tile floor, repair any underlying issues with the subfloor, and level it before installing the new luxury vinyl planks. Plus we felt comfortable after meeting him about the plan and the quality of the materials/work. It took about two weeks after signing up to get the planks ordered/delivered, and then set a time to do the installation. A two-man crew showed up around 8:30 a.m., gave me some updates along the way to show what was happening (and ask some important questions I hadn't considered, like which way the new planks should run), and they finished installing the flooring and the quarterround by about 11:30 a.m. Everything looks great, and we are very happy.

I went in to pay the balance & asked for any carpet info in writing, I did not get it, but I did receive a bottle of carpet cleaner for this type of carpet. Travis stated if there were any installation problems in the year to call them. As a long-time established family local business I shall rely on his word. I had a disappointing experience with Floor Factory Outlet in St. Augustine…read more We purchased carpet and padding on Sunday and provided the measurements we had. We were told those measurements would not matter because someone would come to our home to measure before installation. The installer called us as promised and came by to measure. The final measurement required an additional 6.67 yards, which we paid for by credit card over the phone. We were given an installation price and scheduled the installation for Wednesday. We were told to pay the installer directly the amount quoted by the flooring company. After the installation, the price had increased by $72. I was told the additional charge covered the installer's measurement visit and gas. These fees were not disclosed when we made the purchase or when we were quoted the installation price. Adding an undisclosed fee at the time of installation was unacceptable and should have been communicated in advance. I contacted the company to address the issue and was told that the additional charges were not what had been agreed upon. However, the company declined to resolve the matter or take responsibility for the actions of its installer. I also specifically requested that the leftover carpet be left for us. Despite that request, the installer disposed of it without our permission. Throwing away material that the customer expressly asked to keep was inappropriate and unacceptable. The company's handling of the undisclosed fee and the disposal of our leftover carpet were extremely disappointing. Customers should receive clear, accurate pricing and should be able to trust that their specific requests will be respected.
