Was at Planet Fitness the other day. Noticed the store for the first time, and decide to check it…read moreout. I live in town, and like to support local businesses as much as possible. The place is basically an indoor flea market, with what appear to be items that "fell off the back of a truck" headed to Dollar Tree. Some other repackaged salvation army donations line the walls and back corner. As I said earlier, I try and support local businesses whenever possible, so I decided to buy something for that sole purpose. Up towards the front, I saw a nick nack skull gas pump thing that caught my attention. Much like a flea market, nothing is marked with a price. The shelf the item was on was maybe 10' from the register, so I picked it up and asked the clerk how much it was. He told me to bring it over to him, I obliged. As soon I handed it to him, him told me that it was broken. I wasn't interested enough in the thing to buy it broken, so when he asked if I still wanted to purchase it, I declined. The next 2 minutes sound straight out of and episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it's too random to fabricate. With no hint of sarcasm, the clerk asked me a second time, if I was going to buy it. I told him, no thanks, since he had literally just pointed out that it was broken. He said, "you broke it, but you're not going to buy it?" Again, no hint of sarcasm. All I could spit out was "what?" He repeated his asinine accusation. I reminded him that he literally watched me pick up the item and make the 10' journey to the register. He said, you must have dropped it. It was literally 10 FEET from the register, a straight line, in plain view. I told him that I would have never even known it was broken had HE not pointed it out. And I probably would have purchased it is the price wasn't ridiculous. Which brings me to the next level of insanity. He said, "since it's broken, $20." If I didn't know any better I would have sworn he was joking. In fact, I laughed and again could only muster up a chuckled "what!?" He asked a finally time, incredulously, "so you're not going to buy it?" Zero irony. I said "why would I buy something that's broken?" He somehow spun it around on me, where he was the bigger person, and threw out a "have a great day." Which I would have taken as a please leave my store, had I not already been standing in the doorway halfway out at the time. I guess it was worth the show, in hindsight. I've gotten some mileage out of that story already. p.s. after telling someone the story, I decided to look the item, brand new, up on Amazon. Remember, he wanted $20 for a broken, unpackaged edition (see attachment)

I came into this Dollar Tree for an Uber Eats Shop & Pay order, and finally gave up all hope of…read morefinding two of the items. Maria was in the middle of stocking when she stopped what she was doing to help me search. She checked the back for the first thing. No luck. I showed her a second photo and we both agreed that they usually had it, but since I had not seen it on my search, Maria went looking again, found it under several flats of juice, and then proceeded to move the flats to reach it. I cringed and offered to help. She laughed and told me they would not let me back there because of OSHA. That made me laugh, but it also made me furious on her behalf. Nobody should have to move five flats of juice to retrieve one item because a store's stocking system is chaotic. Maria should not have had to do that much physical labor for a single customer request. She did it anyway. She was patient, funny, kind, and completely unflustered. Then we walked over to the shelf together and of course immediately saw that there was an entire fully stocked section of the Arnold Palmer Lite drink exactly where I had somehow failed to see it. "I am blind! I'm so sorry!" but the two of us laughed so hard. Maria had just excavated one lonely item from under a mountain while I had somehow overlooked at least 50 bottles of it. Yolanda was handling the front of the store while Maria returned to stocking. There were only two people working. I had a cart full of 27 separate items to move onto the belt, so I was not fast. While I was unloading the cart I told Yolanda exactly what Maria had just done for me. Maria could hear from the aisle and kept saying, "It's nothing, it's nothing," while laughing. It was not nothing. Then Yolanda told me that a woman had come in just before me and spent about $400. "Is that a record?" I asked. "No..." Yolanda laughed. "During Christmas they spend more." "But as a non-holiday-related purchase it was a record?" I asked. "No. She buys supplies for homeless families." Yolanda explained. The staff recognizes her, knows what she is doing, and helps her when she comes in. That is the store I walked into: two workers doing the labor of far more than two people, helping customers with patience and humor, recognizing a regular customer who is quietly building a material bridge to families who need help, and making the whole place feel briefly like a functioning piece of civilization. Maria and Yolanda were both extraordinary. Two women building a better world with every breath -- right here from inside this Dollar Tree.

There was a food vendor right by the entrance and a huge jewelry booth. As I walked deeper in, I saw a few labubu, clothes, health food store, and cowboy boots and apparels. All the shops were clean and organized. I couldn't believe how deep this venue went and keep walking until I got to the Michoacna! I had no idea there was one inside of this place. If you need ice cream, pinatas, cowboy gear or clothes, you will want to stop by here to check it out. The entrance is a few doors down from Discovery. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Much different than my quick "walk-thru" some years back where I was just in and out and wasn't able to leave a real proper review. Lots of little interesting shops, gift stores, clothing vendors, and many other kiosks inside. Again as if my first review, there is a nice nostalgia with me as I remember this place as "North Park Mall" various decades ago. If you are looking for nice gifts, stuffed animals, and cute crafted items for a significant other, there is lots to see here. Many many nice quality stuff animals too at BARGAIN rates. I enjoy walking around in here now 1-2 times a month, and have met some nice people and vendors working there. Overall the cater is towards Hispanics, but I see people of all sorts walking around. Def worth checking out, but you have to give it a few FAIR and thorough walk-a-rounds to let everything seep in.

Very…read moredisorganized, the owner doesn't seem to know where his stuff is and blames it on his staff. Never seen anyone else working there but whatever. I call and ask if they have a specific magic trick. The guy says they have it, so I drive on over. When I get there, he can't find it so he passes me a "similar" trick and says it's better. I decide to trust the guy and buy a couple more things. I try working the trick at home and realize it's super angle sensitive and the written instructions didn't help much. I decide to go back and get the Instructional DVD. I go back in and the guy spends half an hour with this other guy without asking if I need help. The other guy says to the owner that he can go ahead and assist the other gentleman. (Me) and the owner makes some offhand comment "oh he's not a gentleman" and proceeds to make other lame crappy jokes. Once he's finally done and tries to help me find the dvd, he can't find it, even though it's listed on their site. So I tell him how the written instructions aren't helpful. He basically tells me to go look online (which I've already done). There's nowhere else I could find it. So I ask about their return policy. "There isn't any" he says. Well I wish I knew that before I trusted this guy. So I'm about to leave and suddenly the guy finds it. I'm glad I didn't go there for nothing but then-- Here's the kicker. The guy decides to ILLEGALLY rip the DVD. He opens up the plastic, takes out the DVD and proceeds to rip it. I'm thinking-- how can this guy do that? Once it's done he gives me the DVD back and proceeds to play his ripped copy and walks to the back. So after all this I'm kind of annoyed and want to leave so I walk to the back and tell him I have to get going. He prices me out and I ask if he can give me a break on the price, since he now has a copy. This guy gets pissed off, snatched it out of my hand and says "Nah you don't need it" and puts it back. Well I'm not trying to waste an hour and a half so I tell him fine, I'll still buy it at full price. Which is ridiculous because he literally opened the packaging of the DVD and illegally ripped it. I purchase it and leave. This guy is shady and kind of a major jerk. I'm glad I didn't spend a ton of money here. Which I would have done in the future if he wasn't so rude. Not coming back. Save yourself some time and money and go elsewhere. Magic Inc is much better and so are some online sites.
