For the past few weeks when I had lunch at Papa Chris across the street, I have kept an eye on this place and finally thought I'd give it a look. The sign on the street states the mall carries merchandise like jewelry, handbags, hats, caps and t-shirts. Though the place looks open for business, at this time (Nov. 29, 2008) only one place appeared open. It is a store selling imported jewelry, such as the tiny earrings and bracelets you'd find in a discount store. Another store looking like it's almost ready to open any day had a banner reading "Hip Hop Fashion". In the window display, a bunch of Barack Obama "Believe in Change" T-shirts, some in orange, some black, blue or in silver sequins looked like cheap fakes. Seeing the multiple cardboard boxes on the floor with the telltale narrow fonts mixed with Chinese lettering, I can tell these probably just got off the boat from China. Another store had an assortment of Disney bags and apparel, which also made me wonder about their authenticity. Since it was still closed, I did not get to examine them more closely. The other store that's open inside this mall is a wholesale-only section. A sign reading "Member Only" deters you from going any further. Bad grammar aside, it's a nice clean, converted warehouse space that probably runs almost a block long, full of storefronts waiting to be opened or leased. The floor tile is smooth and clean, the walls an inviting, warm pastel green color. You can almost imagine the cardboard smell from the cheap merchandise that will be sold here someday soon.

The managers used to ask parents with screaming and running kids who run around the whole stores like it was a placeground to quiet their kids, but the last time I was there, the staff did not ask the parents to calm their kids down. That is very annoying and dangerous to the shopping customers. It is the store's manager/owner legal right and authority to quiet down or ask their parents to control their kids, as they are responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable enviroment for all customers.

They get very sharky around you if you're there for more than one hour. especially the Spanish chunky chick with long hair. she has a very serious demeanor. never smiles. I noticed after a while past the one hour browsing and shopping looking, she would creep up in the same aisle I was at pretending to stock and check items at the same time spying on me. very creepy. I didn't have a basket so had to hold a few items in my hands and forearm. The other heavy set AA female employee is just as leery and creepy. It's very insulting, uncomfortable and off putting to assume someone is taking things. It is not worth my time to cater to a location with suspicious sharky employees. The other locations never shark me. very disappointed with this location, it's big bright and spacious. but it is not worth being there over 30 minutes. I tend to linger a bit longer when I haven't been at a certain location in a long while. but it is not worth it at this location unfortunately. :/ my favorite employee is not there anymore :( and she was the very nicest cheerful one, made me smile. Management is fantastic and so genuinely helpful at this location (I'm reviewing this in May of 2016 so I can't speak for times before). The manager here was on her way to a break but I stopped her to ask her questions about a product without a tag. She quickly took the time out and found a similar product and provided me with a tag (and gave me a discount because the item I wanted was on sale, too!). The Marshalls in particular has always been clean and organized. They have a ton of amazing products like Kate Spade and Tory Burch. They also have an incredible selection of shoes but you have to go quick because they run out of popular sizes fast. I love this Marshalls because everyone has always been so incredibly helpful. 5 stars.

The trip here pretty much started off poorly from the time I entered. I had an Amazon return which I brought to Kohl's; next time I may just pay for the box and whatever I need so I can return it at a UPS store. The item I had was very awkwardly shaped and somewhat heavy, and I used auto opening door to get in. There are two sets of doors before you're in the store and though the button outside the store that opens the doors worked, the one between the two sets of doors did not. It wasn't even one of those stupid doors that requires the door behind you to shut before you can open the next one, because I did that and it didn't open. Luckily there was a group of carts just inside the store. I got in line at the register where it said checkout and returns. Of course once I get to the cashier I'm told I have to go upstairs, because that's where Amazon returns go. Perhaps update your sign? I was pointed to the elevator in the corner, and headed over. It was almost as far away from the west entrance to the store as one could get, which isn't a problem for me but as I passed the north entrance of the store, I saw its marked emergency exit only with a couple cones in front of it. So to recap: Disabled folks may not be able to get into the west entrance (unless the door was just being moody when I was trying to use it) and they also can't use the north entrance that's steps away from the elevator because that entrance is an emergency only exit? Kohl's is actively discouraging disabled folks from visiting their store. I was in here for 10 minutes and couldn't wait to get out.

I'm writing this review purely for the customer service…read more Last Saturday, I bought some cute stiletto heels to wear to an upcoming event. Thinking I'll just break them in before the event, I wore them to work yesterday. Between walking from my car to the building, one heel bent! Once I got to my office, I tried to "unbend" the heel to no avail. Looking for a return policy and knowing how finicky some places are with their shoe returns, I was completely convinced that I was out the money I paid since I no longer had the tags and my receipt was in the trash (serves me right, really...the one time I don't keep a receipt). After looking on Rue 21's website, I couldn't find an answer on their shoe return policy, so I contacted the company via their Facebook. I was assured I could exchange the shoes and was instructed to print out the correspondence and bring it along with me. So after work, I went to the store armed with the note from the company and my shoes, half expecting some issue to come up since that's normally my luck. I was SO incredibly happy when the associate told me I could exchange without any hassles! I got a different pair of shoes, am crossing my fingers that the same problem doesn't happen this weekend, and left without any need for a phone call to a manager or any other issues. It was perfectly painless. EDIT: I had to change my review from 5 to 3 stars after yet another pair of shoes I bought broke and a bracelet I picked up snapped in half. While the customer service is amazing and will let you return things relatively pain-free, I think I'll be spending my money on places with merchandise that is a bit better of quality,
