We love Tiger Masters because Master Jordan is truly dedicated to teaching Tae Kwon Do. She emphasizes discipline, hard work, respect, and getting it done right. My son is not exactly an athlete but this keeps him active, and we've seen the difference that going to TKD has done for him: he's more agile, has more stamina, and has confidence in his body. I always say he has a love-hate relationship with TKD because it is his hard work, and it's not all fun and games. But when we drive by on an off day, he always wants to go see Master Jordan. And even when he's at school waiting in line, he will start doing his TKD forms. TKD is not just a hobby for him, it's starting to become ingrained in his daily routine! And to me that's priceless. Interestingly, I was introduced to Tiger Masters randomly by a nurse at the hospital, who spoke very highly of Master Jordan. That nurse's child was college age, started with Master Jordan around age 8 or 10, and she was extremely happy with the result, and spoke highly of Master Jordan even after so many years. What I especially love about Master Jordan is that although the classes are in a group setting, she actually knows each child individually. She knows their strengths and weaknesses. She knows when to be hard or soft with them. Ms. Lucia is the Office Manager/Administrator, and she keeps everything organized. We've had bad experiences with Masters that don't have administrative support and everything just falls to pieces. So I can't say enough good things about Ms. Lucia as well; she is the glue that makes the school work! A note on price: pricing is pretty comparable to other martial arts schools -- I know because I visited all of them! We are very thankful to have found Tiger Masters!

When traveling to Gaithersburg for work, I saw there was an academy reasonably close to where I was staying. Professor Noel was incredibly hospitable and encouraging for me to attend the classes. The academy itself is very clean throughout. The drilling or fundamentals classes were great in that they're both a good working and emphasizing drilling technique to perfection (drillers make killers as the saying goes). The advanced class that I attended immediately applied to something I've struggled with. With the requisite rolling, I found the students calm and technical with their sparring habits. Finally, the students themselves - across the belts - were friendly and inviting. I would definitely visit again as well as recommend Foundry Jiu-Jitsu as a place to train if you live in the area.

Sunny and Justin are extremely knowledgeable and talented, and they are able to teach a wide variety of styles and techniques - lessons never get boring. Along those lines, a lot of the forms and skills here are extremely tough, but both Sunny and Justin can break things down and make them digestible and understandable. The facilities here are really nice, too. The main room is massive, and they also have an extremely well-stocked gym. Everything feels clean and professional. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. The hot tub water looked disgusting I didn't even realize how bad it was until I put my feet out . It was cloudy and dirty, and I almost threw up when I saw it up close. To make things worse, a member even told me I should've washed up before using it something that clearly isn't being enforced, given the condition of that water. I ended up leaving right away and even took a picture because it was that bad. Now my foot has been itching ever since, and I'm honestly concerned it might be a reaction or even a fungus. This was beyond disappointing for a gym that charges premium rates. I really hope management takes better care of their facilities because this was unacceptable.

Overall still busy gym on weekdays while weekends is less busy. It has all the necessary equipment and the locker rooms are spacious.
