How they modify the exercises for ALL members is the best part. For me, they give me suggestions to make them more challenging. For others, they'll have them lower the weights and do lower impact exercises to accommodate injuries and level of experience. Every workout is different, which keeps things interesting. The program is motivating and I can honestly say I get in just as good of a workout in 45 minutes here as I would in 1.5 hours on my own in a weight room. It's fast paced, but doable for everyone. The space itself is organized and clean. The members I've met are all friendly and the coaches are encouraging. This isn't an in-your-face bootcamp style gym. No intimidation tactics here! I can't recommend Foundry Fitness enough to anyone who wants to change up their boring, old workout routine or needs an extra kick in the butt.

The stories of theft are troubling. And in spite of billing themselves as a country club sports facility there is more discord than you'd expect in a "classy" club. My son has been enrolled here for swim lessons around six months(they are incredibly overpriced and staff is by and large inattentive) and recently passed his swim certification where he treat consecutively for around 2 minutes across an Olympic sized pool. He loves coming here to play because of the water slide and will make friends with any kid his age. We come here pretty regularly and I generally feel extremely comfortable with the help of the staff here. I recently had spinal surgery, and wanted to take my son here so he could play doing something he loved while I rested close by where he was on a lounge chair. I'm not able to move much at the moment, and am not technically supposed to swim with my surgery. One of the staff came over twice to tell me that it looked like my son didn't know how to swim, when I've never seen him struggle in the water whatsoever in the months since he's passed his certification. I went closer to keep an eye on him and noticed zero difficulty with him being able to swim safely as he was laughing and giggling. I stayed close by, and when I could not made my son move the the shallow end of the pool not because I felt he was unsafe but because I didn't want to be bothered again by the life guard team. One of the head life guards came over to tell me that going forward my son would only be allowed in the pool area with the life vest on, even though he's never needed or worn one. As I was not going to try to force my son to wear an extra article of clothing he never needed on a day that was over 100 degrees, we left the pool significantly earlier than we had planned because I didn't want to deal with arguing with someone who was blatantly wrong and stubbornly signaling out my child. The situation was made even worse by Andrew and one of his other life guards insinuating that I was not being negligent about my son's care. This was especially disrespectful considering that I am came here while not being as physically capable because of the trust I had in a team of lifeguards that were mostly standing around and talking to each other. The gym in and of itself at this point seems extremely overpriced, especially considering the respect of some of the staff towards its members. I'd rather spend the close to 700 on my total membership somewhere that my business is appreciated and respected.

The staff used micro aggression to consistently push my child out of the kids center. Several incidents happened during my visits over a few months. I started to notice the staff who was all Latina women singled my African American son out and they would restrict him from Bringing comfort toys, such as hot wheel cars. He is 4 yrs old and does not like to share. They said he can't bring his cats bc he does not want to share with other kids. However I saw that they would allow all the other kids who were Hispanic to bring whatever they liked including cars . I brought this to there attention several times and observed how they treated him and one day I had enough. A child who was older and bigger pushed my son while I was in the kids center picking up my son to leave . 4 Latina women staff were working and saw the kid push my son and said nothing . So I stuck up for my son since these 4 women did nothing and I told the older kid to keep his hands to himself, my son did nothing to him and he had no reason to push my son. When I redirected and corrected the Chikd. The staff told me I needed to leave. Then this same 6 year old who pushed my son called me out of my name and said I was a "bitch". The staff said nothing to him at all. They grabbed him Because he was running up to me aggressively. I lost it at that point and demanded to speak with the manager who the staff claimed was off. This was on a Friday and the staff told me the manager would not be back until Monday well I came back everyday until Monday and requested to speak with anyone in charge. The manager just keep avoiding me. The manager saw me on that Monday I spoke to her saying hello then she totally disappeared I never saw her again while I was at the gym and when I asked where the manager was the front staff told me she left to go on a break but she had just arrived to work 10 minutes before I saw her. After she ducted out on me I wrote to corporate. Once corporate and the CE0 got word. The area manager called me and basically told me my kid who got bullied probably needed to take a break from the kids center and told me to never speak directed to the kids if my son was ever hit, or abused by another kid to tell the same staff who watched him get pushed. After that I never took my son there again and I never visited that gym again. The staff sat back and watched these 5 kids bully my son and did nothing bc they were all Latino and they look out for their own. I highly recommend to not use this la fitness. They allow bigger kids to bully younger kids and they are not truly watching what's going on. The kids in there just run wild and are allowed to do whatever if they are Latino.

My trainer was personable and I would use her again, I'm sure. Things I wish were different: the carpet and equipment are very old. The mats so worn around the equipment that you can see foot prints. The weight machines labels for the weights are all but coming off. The decore - as with my other LAF location on the West Coast - very, very dated (2000's). The cleaning staff seem to be present and doing their jobs but it's impossible to clean used/aged equipment. They do have a machine repair guy in regularly and that's promising (but again, the equipment is simply old and very worn). I wish there were more clocks located around the facility, especially the weight area. I guess I'm just hoping they start a renovation/remodel soon (without having to shut everything down). I promise to keep you posted as things improve (or not).

Alex (the owner) is my trainer now - I work out with him 3 times per week. He is among the most knowledgeable professionals in the business! In my two months with RedZone, i have seen my neck and shoulder pain disappear through a very focused training regimen. Alex also works with my Physical Therapist to tailor workouts to my needs! I would highly recommend RedZone fitness for either one-on-one personal training, their bootcamps, or any other service they would provide.

Alex is unquestionably one of those rare trainers who understand both the psychological and practical aspects of training. He is quick to tune into the personalities of his clients and push/encourage them accordingly, and he isn't rigid in his training approach -- if you want to skip or modify an exercise, he is happy to adjust the workout. His compliments are genuine, and he never judges you for failing to finish an exercise, resting, or confessing to a bad week of eating. Finally, I enjoy the style of the workouts he provides for me. Lots of creative exercises and new twists, yet all very functional. And because his exercises tend to utilize multiple muscle groups, they provide a full-body workout -- you definitely get your cardio in addition to strength training, which is great for anyone who is crunched for time!

Love the gym and equipment - this gym (Rockville location) has everything you need to include several pieces of cardio equipment (but not too many because it's definitely a strength gym). The vibes are pretty good - I like the lighting, the posing room, the music, the chill staff, and that it's well maintained. My ONLY complaint about this gym is that on MANY occasions, they would just remove/change/move/add equipment with no warning. So for example, they had a nice, standard MTS row machine (plate loaded), and it was great. One day, I walked into the gym to do a pull day and it was GONE. Some other very clunky, very awkward machine in its place. Same with the plate loaded low row machine they had - loved it, walked in one day and GONE. Replaced with another back machine that was not even close to the same. I don't know, I just found this incredibly irritating! Anyway, the locker/restrooms are well maintained, there are saunas in each one, and plenty of lockers (although that was a new upgrade earlier this year, and none of the lockers have handles, so it's awkward), but whatever. The time of day I work out is awesome (around 2 am) because the gym is virtually empty, but I know during some other times of the day (bro hours, if you will), the crowd gets kind of douchey lol. Either way, I enjoyed this gym and would go back in a heartbeat. They also had a very easy cancellation system and I had no issues cancelling my membership (in advance) before I moved out of the area. *Lastly, they also offer several different plans, so make sure you find the one that meets your requirements.
