How they modify the exercises for ALL members is the best part. For me, they give me suggestions to make them more challenging. For others, they'll have them lower the weights and do lower impact exercises to accommodate injuries and level of experience. Every workout is different, which keeps things interesting. The program is motivating and I can honestly say I get in just as good of a workout in 45 minutes here as I would in 1.5 hours on my own in a weight room. It's fast paced, but doable for everyone. The space itself is organized and clean. The members I've met are all friendly and the coaches are encouraging. This isn't an in-your-face bootcamp style gym. No intimidation tactics here! I can't recommend Foundry Fitness enough to anyone who wants to change up their boring, old workout routine or needs an extra kick in the butt.

When I moved to…read moreMaryland, I started my membership back up after a few year break hoping I'd get back into it. Sadly though the studio was farther and my schedule didn't line up. When my card expired, I told them to pause or cancel, figuring they couldn't charge so I was done for now. But the they called and said I owe for the month my card expired *and* the next month because of a 30-day cancellation policy--plus they threatened collections if I didn't come in to pay and cancel officially. Yes, I should've canceled sooner and I bet they have contracts and policies. But after years of being such a loyal advocate telling everyone how great it is and loving it myself , I would have appreciated a little flexibility. Maybe paying only one month when I was ready to cancel and bending the rule for me. I know they can they have specials all the time. Instead, they wouldn't budge, leaving a bad taste after so many positive experiences. If you're thinking of canceling, don't wait--do it right away or you'll pay for extra months. It's disappointing that a company I once loved would treat a loyal customer this way. Sadly, I don't think I'll be going back to this location if I ever want to go back.

Sounds like I'm not the only one to say beware of extra charges according to other reviews…read more I was visiting from another location and used one of my passes to take a class at this location. I am aware that my location is typically lower on pricing so there could be an up-charge, however, I am used to being notified of any charges that I would occur when I am checking in to a new location for the first time. The front desk person was cheerful, however, when she asked me for a credit card to just keep on file there was no mention of any charges I would incur and said no charges would be made, it was just to ensure a card was on file for future use. Apparently future used meant immediately after my class without notification. I don't remember who the coach was, but she was just OK. I understand most OT classes these days don't typically use the rower as much as they used to or at least that's what it seems. I always like to start on the tread or rower to get my heart rate up and get the most bang for my buck out of my OT workout. I don't know why they have you start on a rower or only to mention that you will be getting off a minute or two later and starting on the floor. It would be nice to know that when you sign up for your starting position before class starts. Once I noticed this, I mentioned I would prefer to switch to the tread, but the coach told me to proceed with the group I signed with and to go to the floor even though they were open treads. I've always had rather good experiences at any location I've been to as I travel a lot and like to check out gyms in other locations... So I will say this was a first to be disappointed by OT. If you're local, I'm sure it's fine... If you're traveling, I would maybe try a different location or at least beware that you will probably be charged without notification for whatever they decide that day.

That was over a year ago and I'm still 20 lbs lighter than when I started - AND my last physical has me still in great health! Working with Grant was a life changing experience for me. His kind nature and genuine care for his clients is evident in how he advises and trains each individual. It wasn't just me! I've had a half dozen friends work with Grant after watching my transformation and the chain keeps growing - Love it :)

If you're looking to get harder,…read morebetter, faster, stronger in the most efficient and functional way possible - MyBootcamp is it. I first met Grant at his indoor cycling classes at Revolve, and his rides were and always are mentally and physically tough. I had started to build up my endurance and strength through cycling, but the thought of trying out MyBootcamp was still intimidating. I mean, c'mon - I saw pictures of MyBootcampers pulling tires, slamming firehoses, and tossing sandbags. I thought I wouldn't survive my first session last March, but afterward I actually felt like a complete badass. I whipped that firehose and learned how to properly do kettlebell swings, among other things. Plus I was the only girl there (thanks Matteo, Rob, and Neal for letting me kick your butts that day :). (Side note: most sessions are filled with fit, athletic and attractive ladies, so all the single men in DC should definitely sign up... just sayin' ;) ) Four months later and I'm incredibly proud of how strong I've become because of MyBootcamp. Grant and Chris have taught me how to really push myself mentally and physically. They know exactly when and how to push me to get past my comfort zone, and because of that, my endurance/strength/mobility levels are at the highest they've ever been. Now I'm addicted to improving those levels with each workout, and my two favorite "Grant-isms" that stick with me every time are 1) There is never perfection, only progress; and 2) Being strong is only good if it's actually useful. Other things that I love about MyBootcamp? I love that the workouts are outdoors; I love the camaraderie; I love the new mobile app which makes managing your MyBootcamp addiction even easier; and most importantly, I love how much Grant and his team care about you. Thank you, Grant and the MyBootcamp team - I couldn't be more thankful.

I was a…read moremember for a short period of time and can say, without a doubt, that the other members & one coach (not the owner) were the only reasons I stayed for as long as I did. The owner was bullish, sexist, and spouted some very bizarre statements that almost bordered on conspiracy theories (the NOAA one was my favorite). He once made a joke about his pregnant wife being a broken sandwich maker and when no one laughed, he doubled down and re-explained the "joke". Very cool, dude. The owner wrote workouts for himself and himself only and became oddly competitive with anyone he thought he *should* be able to beat. Once watched him lift way too much weight, hurt his back, and rack himself all in a span of 20 seconds all because another dude was lifting more than him. Hilarious that he also harassed another member for wearing a weight belt but, yanno, break ya spine because ego. Super embarrassing for a gym owner. The gym itself was ok - equipment was hella used and I had the odd suspicion that he had no plans to update anything. Classes were tight and crammed and honestly, he was not a great coach for anyone more experienced. Dude was completely checked out so, again, not surprised this place closed.

You will feel a part of the family instantly. I would recommend this gym to anyone!

Per the contract you have to wear a "uniform." What that uniform is, is not specified but you can assume it's a Soldierfit shirt. If you intend to workout often, 5 days or more a week, you have to wash the same shirt everyday or risk being admonished or have your membership terminated without a refund ( meaning you have to pay in full If you have a 6 month or year membership). Or you're simply unhygienic and wear a sweaty shirt multiple days in a row. The own Steve stated I could purchase more shirts, which is ridiculous given I'm paying 129 a month. Providing new members with three shirts to start off would be more reasonable but as I mentioned the gym is money focused not patron focused. In general, the workouts are okay but the atmosphere is very lackluster and better suited for ppl looking to learn how to workout rather than ppl with fitness or an athletic backgrounds. Patrons can also be distracting as they often will ask me what to do instead of the instructor. This is okay from time to time but can be burdensome to ppl looking to focus in on their own goals and workout. Overall, I regret signing a year contract and will be be very cautious when dealing with any future contracts with uniform requirements that could impact or promote poor hygiene. Note, Rockville is a more fast pace athletic gym so there are alternatives. Gaithersburg is a very small gym and the instructor I met was not attentive or appreciative of my time when I met with him for a consultation. Note, Gaithersburg offered me a 90 dollar rate but Clarksburg charged me 129, once again showing how money centric the owner of Clarksburg is.
