I purchased a Groupon and called several times and never received a call back. I even showed up at 5:30 one morning and no one was there.

Huh, I just read the other review by Jingfei H after coming here to post my own bad experience and…read morenow it makes so much sense. I signed up for a class here on ClassPass and was also treated rudely for no reason, I guess now I realize it's because I am a woman? This instructor here is a clown and so up his own ass he should teach contortionist lessons. He wouldn't teach me at all and was totally dismissive, he literally told me to go find someone else in class so he could sit off into space on the side in silence. Last time I checked my money was the same as anyone else, if your studio only wants to accept men/professionals, etc then make that clear on the website or class description instead of wasting everyone's time. The tagline on google says "Saekson Janjira Muay Thai is located in the heart of North Dallas, bringing the most authentic Muay Thai to Texas. Classes for kids, adults and fighters." maybe put an asterisk there and say "no women or beginners" mmkay?

First day at the gym! It's good overall gym! Good traditional Muay Thai gym! But unfortunately the…read moreowner Saekson Janjira approached me at the wrong way.. very rude as well. I was working out on my own and (I didn't know they're was a dress code.) He got pissed at me for not following the dress code. He began to press me without asking any questions. He told me I was disrespectful and disgusting. Maybe we stepped on the wrong foot but he lost a potential fighter... I'm never going back again. He seems money hungry. But overall the students are very nice and welcoming but HIM not so much. I recommend Next generation MMA.

The owner is incredibly caring, but stern. He is truly the third party our child needs to help keep him accountable. I highly recommend this dojo. Most people here have been here for years, but are happy to welcome newcomers into the family.

Recently moving from SoCal and a much larger studio where my girls had spent many years in Shotokan…read moreKarate we wanted to stay in the same style but were apprehensive about the limited choices and concerned about the class/ instruction dynamic. However, after one class we were convinced this was the place for us. But, I wanted to give it some time to make sure it was a fair and honest review. Here is the scope: Senseis Lee and Matt are incredible and passionate about their instruction which shows in every aspect of their teaching style. Not only are my children stepping up their game and performing strongly but one can see that the children in their class feel a connection to the art as presented by the instructors and are progressing at a solid pace. The instructor-student dynamic is very engaging, and all students regardless of ability are treated with an equal amount of compassion, discipline, and respect which results in every class being a fun and serious karate training season that my girls look forward to attending. Classes are unlimited and scheduled throughout the week which is nice considering our schedule and +20 miles we must drive each way to attend (for us it is worth it). There are no high-pressure sales tactics or crazy 6 + month commitments like some other place (we have looked at a few). Bottom line if you are considering Karate or any martial art for that matter seriously take a look at this studio. It is a great experience on every level!
