Then, he tried to cheat me out of a dollar, lied about the total when I asked, acted confused like he didn't know what I was talking about, and tried to refuse giving me a receipt. On a previous occasion another worker (female) shorted my change. When I asked for "all of my change", she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, started shrugging her shoulders & laughing, and acted like I was overreacting. Yet, she tried to charge me $1 for a bag. In addition to being thieves, the prices are different from what you get charged (sometimes by .10, .20, or about .50 cents or more). When questioned, they say, the item was in the wrong place or that "you grabbed the wrong item". When that happened to me (ONE of the times), I questioned the difference in prices (price as marked on the shelf versus the price charged at the counter) and the manager told the cashier to give me back .10 cents. Then, he yelled for the cashier to add .10 cents to all the prices and walked off. The problem is .10 cents, 10 times equals a $1. My change is MY money, NOT an entitled tip for the workers to TAKE. So, I FINALLY stopped going there. Why go to a place where you're constantly being cheated and nickel-and-dimed? I go to a different store, now. The area definitely had an issue with homelessness.

It's not as well maintained as it was when it first opened. Also, and this is a tough thing to control, the area outside of the entrance is usually littered with trash. It's a high foot traffic area because it's at the corner of Broad & Market, and by the bus stop. So often people just throw trash everywhere :( With the exception of one male cashier and a female cashier, customer service is poor. I remember once asking the staffer manning the hot foods station for mozzarella sticks, and she just looked right through me with dead eyes. Seeing no response from her, I just kept it moving. And then another cashier, before even handing me my bag, shouting, "NEXT!", right in my face. That said, I hate to not support new development in the area, but it's gone downhill. It IS different during working hours, but the foot traffic and litter are still issues.
