With appetites and no reservation, we made the short walk to the restaurant. Upon arriving, we were greeted by an employee who instructed us that we could select our own seating (the restaurant was fairly empty at the time). We placed orders for the following: Two glasses of wine, spring rolls, Pad Prik Ging (my wife), and the Pad Bai Kraprao (myself). Roughly 15 minutes later our food arrived looking real delicious (we would later discover that it lived up to its appearance). My wife and I were so pleased with our meals that we were intentionally eating slow as not to finish it too quickly (I'm guilty of quickly devouring delicious food). By the way, the two chili peppers spice rating is pretty accurate...make sure that you have a glass of water nearby. I highly recommend Kinnaree Thai Cuisine!

Nice quaint kitchen with about seating for 18 inside and a few more tables outside. Very welcoming and pleasant service. I perused the menu and tried the pad si ew with chicken with added spice. They decide spice by how many thai chilies you want your meal cooked with, I said two. Nice presentation and a huge plate of noodles! Excellent flavor and the two chilies was the right amount of spice. Thank you Warie's for helping me find a hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam! I shall return again and again!

I ordered the Chicken Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles with Beef, and Tom Yam Kung Soup with a side of white rice and a beer (Singha). The Chicken Spring Rolls were crispy, delicious, and packed with flavor. I recommend ordering the spring rolls while you wait for the main meal. Make sure you use the sweet and sour dipping sauce that comes with the spring rolls. The Tom Yam Kung Soup is so good! With a coconut milk broth with a hint of lime, and shrimp, I highly recommend ordering the Tom Yam Kung Soup with a side of white rice (optional) to soak up the delicious broth, which will leave you warm and satisfied. If you are trying to decide on a noodle dish to order, I recommend going with the Drunken Noodles with Beef (or Chicken). You may also want to request a mild spice level depending on your spice tolerance because the default spicy level is medium spice. It was a great balance of meat, veggies, and noodles. If you're someone who loves Thai food, and you eat it regularly, then your taste buds will automatically tingle with happiness and familiarity confirming that you're eating authentic Thai food...and it's incredibly delicious. If you're exploring Amsterdam in search for a great place for dinner, I highly recommend you give Chok Dee Thai a chance. Service was great too!

Often times there is a line leading outside to get a table due to the popularity of Bird Thais. The service is friendly and prompt. This time I tried the Isaan Menu which was a nice collection of spare rib appetizer, Tom Yam Kai soup, and a spicy beef salad. I really enjoyed the flavors of this dish. It is a very busy restaurant but there's just enough space to enjoy your meal without feeling like you are on top of the next table. Bird Thais is a very popular restaurant for a good reason.

I was staying at Hotel Not Hotel for a few nights when we figured we would grab a quick breakfast before exploring the city some more. The seating here can be shared with the hotel lobby so you'll always be able to find a place to sit, and all you have to do to order is ring the bell and an employee will come help you right away. Since it was pretty early and I wasn't starving I just ordered a croissant and it was brought out to me very quickly. This wasn't the first croissant I've eaten on this trip but it certainly did taste the best, being fluffy but having a nice crisp shell around it. Overall, Kevin Bacon Bar is not only hilarious because of its name, but it's also a pretty nice place to just hang out. I can definitely see myself back here in future for that famous pad Thai.
