Well, I have heard about this place and that they sell records and CDs and etc. I have never went inside. I decided to go in and see for myself. Outside looks like one of those old ghetto shops on Commercial Drive that looks like they have been here forever. Yeah maybe they have been here forever. I mean at least 20 years. Or even more. Inside was very well organized and bright. They have some pretty cool records for sale. Unfortunately, I am not one of those music advocate/ artist. I mean I do understand the music quality is better on records. To me I would not care much if I listened music on a CD or radio or ipad or ipod vs the highend record player. They have pretty good stuff here.

On the regular movie side of the store, they have every movie imaginable, and it's up to date too - with stuff I didn't even know had been released on video. The staff are extremely knowledgeable - movie geeks in the best sense of the word. And unlike those other big-chain stores, Tom's is open 24 hours a day. It's a pretty interesting place to go in the middle of the night.

Not only was he able to provide the model I requested, he offered me the next model up at a nominal price. Alberto showed up on time and performed the installation quickly and professionally. Once it was installed he showed me a few features and made sure everything was compatible with my current set up.  Alberto was respectful of my home and took care during the whole installation. He refused to let me see them without first agreeing to buy them sight unseen. He called me "anal" for wanting to see them before buying them and added, "I've been doing this for 20 years and the only guy I've dealt with who was more anal than you was a guy who paid $20,000 for a worthless copy of Molten Man." Maybe he prefers it when he can sell overpriced stuff to people? Refused to offer proof of the books- such as the CGC numbers or asking his friend for photos of the books. Said grader notes didn't matter. It's a wild messy store with a lot of cool comic books. But I'll take my business elsewhere.
