We ate there at 6pm after parade and it was busy, but it only took 20 minutes to receive our food…read morewhich was not bad with it being busy due to Watemelon Days. The service of all the bartenders and wait staff was above and beyond 5 stars! I was seated where I could watch kitchen and I observed the 1 and only cook handle food without gloves (FDA recommends avoiding bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods) and boasted chicken is considered just that. There was a very bare simple menu so I ordered a cheeseburger and chips and he got the white chicken. I literally saw cook put the chicken in basket bare-handed and let my husband know that while he brought our order to window and I watch waitress bring over. My cheeseburger was well over-done as was the grilling of the bun which I ate some due to not having eaten and didn't want to wait longer, but the chicken was so overcooked that you could barely use fork to peel away a bite on the breast. When he finally got a bite, it was so dry that even dipping in ranch didn't help. The outside was very dark considered to other places we've gotten chicken from. Now, I was very impressed with the service compared to prior years at watermelon days, but the food was much better. I did see staff going back to try to help, so bonus stars for that. My husband did talk to owner who was very understanding and seems to really care about her bar and restaurant, and had 2 breasts remade but they ended up to be the same way unfortunately. Maybe for bigger crowds, have more people in kitchen the whole time so food is not overcooked for which should be discounted some to customers that do receive it that way. Next year we will eat at cafe or drive to Battle Lake before street dance.

We ordered take-out chicken dinners based on the great reviews. It has been several years since we…read morehave eaten here and wanted to see how things with the new owners have changed. The new owners are very friendly and my husband spoke favorably of the changes inside. (He picked up the order.) Said it would be a really nice place to watch a game, etc. As to the food. The chicken was very moist and hot, but for us it was disappointing as to taste. A little bland for us. We kind of felt the same way about the potatoes. The coleslaw was fine but nothing special. Chicken places are a dime a dozen in the area and there are others that we prefer. But I could also see why this option would be preferable to some people. We still intend to try the place again and try some other things on the menu and perhaps watch a game.

If you like simple food done well - this is an awesome place. Such a cool and unique venue in an…read moreold church. They really buy into it and have church themed menus/drinks/ and decor. Love it! Our table did a mashup of everything - wings, burgers, pizza, and even a grilled cheese. Again - all simple, but all tasty. I'd call this place Perham's top wing/pizza place in town. I split the grilled cheese and then had the buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce was on point from a flavor a heat perspective. And the homemade ranch - heck yeah! Perfect combo! Well done 1894 - we will be back! (PS - we recommend getting some cool signage outside for us out-of-towners)

My son ordered the Belltower Burger which was bacon, mushroom, cheese and sauce which was like a strogenoff sauce. I mopped some of my slider in it. We also shared the cheese curds as a side for $5. We were charged $1.50 for ranch, even though it was free with order of curds as an app. Also ordered Busch Non Alcohol beer for $5.00. It was really nice inside as this was an older church in its past life. The Burgers are 1/2 # and I enjoyed a bite of my son's burger. The burgers are fresh and not frozen and worth ordering. I did suggest hot honey with the cheese curds and turn the peanut butter grilled cheese and bacon sandwich into a burger. I'd return again.

The poutine was SO tasty - it was unlike anything I've ever had, with such a fun Italian twist! The pizza dough was fluffy and delicious, and though the white sauce was a little heavy, it was still quite good. The service was excellent, our food arrived quickly and it was reasonably priced. This is a great small town find!

Stopped in at New York Mills newest "brew pub" Continental Divide on a Saturday afternoon…read more Traditionally speaking a brew pub is an establishment that brews their own beer and serves food made in house. This place doesn't actually brew their own beer which was a bit of a bummer. It is actually what I would call a taphouse. Nevertheless they have an insanely good tap beer list. There are many styles of beer to choose from sure to please any palate. They also offer craft cocktails on tap. The decor is beautiful. A very open, inviting, and comfortable space. There are a handful of tables in the front as you walk in and a bar in the back with an exposed kitchen beyond that. We ordered wings, nachos, and pizza. Wings were cooked nicely and the sauce was flavorful but not quite as described. Nachos had a beautiful presentation but were cold. Pizza was OUTSTANDING. This place is super new and has a good base going. I fully expect them ironing out some of the issues with the food. Staff were all very fun and friendly. Didn't have to wait to order food or drinks. I would absolutely visit this spot again as well as recommend
