While dining in the restaurant, we witnessed an older gentleman--who appeared to be a manager or someone in a supervisory role--physically grab a female employee by the waist to move her out of his way. The employee clearly stated that she would prefer he not put his hands on her. He ignored her comment and did not respond. Shortly after, we observed him speaking down to multiple staff members, belittling them and telling them they were "not doing anything." This behavior was alarming. No employee should ever be touched without consent or spoken to in such a demeaning manner--especially in front of customers. Seeing this unfold publicly makes it concerning to think about how staff may be treated behind closed doors.

You order and pay at the counter. They give you a table number and bring your food to you. We both got the one scoop option of the Kelli -- which has almonds and dried cranberries mixed into the chicken salad. It comes with a choice of two sides. We both upgraded to soup for one of our sides. I got their chicken with wild rice soup which came out piping hot and was good (with a little added salt). He got the tomato bisque. There was a different extra charge for each soup. For our other side, I got their pasta salad and he got the sweet grapes. We have both had these before and knew we liked them. The plate also came with wrapped crackers, a pickle wedge, and a cookie. I'm so glad the chicken salad is not overly processed with too much mayonnaise. Menus were presented to us by our lovely and sweet waitress, JOSLYN. She gave us enough time to peruse the menu and to decide what we were going to order. Two of us ordered the combo of half slab of Ribs and half order of shrimp along with Cole slaw and bbq baked beans. One of us ordered a combo of Ribs & Chicken dinner. When our order arrived I looked at my half slab of Ribs and thought that these are the smallest Ribs I've ever seen. I was contemplating registering a complaint but I was too hungry to do so. I dug into the baked beans and was surprised that though a small order they tasted pretty good. I then moved onto the Cole Slaw and that was rich and creamy and tasted pretty good too. Next I grabbed one of those tiny little Ribs and placed it in my mouth and it was oh so good ( surprise ). Even the garlic toast was delicious. I was completely disarmed by the savory taste of the food. My complaint was quickly dismissed. As for how small the portions were I was surprisingly full midway through dinner. My 1 star review quickly became a 4 Star review. I subtracted one star cuz the Ribs were small. When they called them "Baby" Back Ribs , they were not kidding. They were "BABY" back ribs. ( But Good ) Nevertheless, After all is said and done I might consider a return visit to Rib City. Cuz this visit was hmmm hmmm good. So good.
