I should have listened to the other reviews...they were right on!…read more The food was all ala cart. Nothing comes with your meal. And to purchase sides it's a shareable side. So you have to ask people at your table if they'll go in to get the side you want. Because the "side" was such a large portion. Disappointing. This should be changed immediately. I had the country fried steak. It was ok. Gravy stated white peppercorn gravy. It was not white. But it tasted ok. Much better than the gravy that came on the potatoes. It was NOT good. My husband had the chicken and waffles. He liked it. Our other party had pot roast and they said the seasoning was a very unusual flavor. Not tasty. Potatoes and carrots were not cooked throughout. Liver and onions were good. The corn bread was good. Our server, Luke was cordial however it appeared that we irritated him. I caught him talking about us to another server and the cook as they all turned and looked us. Maybe I'm reading into it but based on other reviews I read I think they were being negative about our group. ‍ Anyway I would not recommend this restaurant and I'm sorry I didn't listen to the other reviews. Yelp never steers me wrong.

My husband finished his plate of smoked bbq pork ribs, sweet potato and cole slaw. I had 1/4 fried white meat chicken, sweet potato, fried okra. The corn muffins were hot and delicious. Generous seating with bar seating on one end. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly, attentive and provides quick and gracious service. We will be back and bring others with us.

My Order: Catfish Nuggets, Pit Combo Plate with Beef Brisket and Baby Back Ribs…read more The Food: The catfish nuggets were good and probably the best thing I had. The brisket and baby back ribs were disappointing. The meat tasted dry, old, and had very little flavor. I expected a lot more from the barbecue based on the look and vibe of the place. The Atmosphere: The restaurant itself looks really nice and has a good setup. However, I would definitely avoid sitting outside in the back area because the flies and little bugs will attack your food while you are trying to eat. The Experience: The service was good overall. They were training a new employee and he actually did a really good job. The staff stayed friendly and attentive throughout the visit. Overall Score: 2 Stars

While visiting Fort Meyers for the first time, it was recommended that we go to Buckingham Farms…read morefor breakfast. We were excited to try it based on their website, reviews, and the recommendation. Upon entering you can pick up a menu or look at the menu board. There is no table service. Once you place your order you can sit down at a table and wait for your pager to go off. When your pager goes off you have to go to the back of the restaurant to get your utensils. The utensils are plastic that are dispensed. The coffee cups are made of Styrofoam, surprising since this is promoted as a"farm to table" restaurant. You can dispense your own coffee and pick up non refrigerated packaged creamers. No fresh milk or creamer offered. Again surprising. My wife asked a food preparer if she could have some fresh milk for her coffee. It was provided in a plastic container. I ordered an egg, cheese, and bacon on a biscuit. I didn't see any other type of bread offered. My wife ordered the waffle making a point for it to be prepared plain. Our pagers went off and we went to pick up our food. The waffles my wife ordered plain had some kind of cream on it. The server said she didn't see any note about it being prepared plain. She took it back to remake it and brought it out to our table. The coffee was very weak and not very good. My wife threw hers out. Her waffle was tasteless. She took a couple of bites and threw it out as well. My biscuit sandwich was also very disappointing. The biscuit was dry and hard, the texture of the bacon was like shoe leather. We could not understand why this restaurant was as busy as it was. The only thing we could think of, was that it's the only place around. We left and drove 20 minutes to a Bakery/Cafe where they served good coffee, bread, and pastries.

We stumbled across Seventh South looking for fresh local seafood and ended up finding one of our…read morefavorite meals of the trip. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses and manager made us feel welcome and had us seated right away. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. Thanks to Angel and the kitchen for such an outstanding experience. Seventh South has earned a spot on our regular rotation whenever we're in Naples.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were presently surprised on how pretty the place transformed from what used to be Three60 Market. Cozy, rustic, chic. Since it is a small place, every table seemed to have a view of the river. They also had outdoor dining, which would be nice once the weather gets cooler. We arrived right when they opened so we were initially the only people there. However, that quickly changed in the next hour or 2. We were seated by the hostess, and our waiter quickly appeared. He was warm and friendly and was attentive throughout the night. They had a good selection of wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails From the summer dining specials, we all ordered different entrees. Everything was delicious. Both the appetizers and dinner were full portions. Great deal for the price. All of us will be coming back, and bringing our husbands.

She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Well she got one. I got exactly three bites. THREE! ‍ By the time I looked back, the jar was cleaner than the windows at a car wash. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.
