After a bad fall in January of 2021, which resulted in an extended hospital stay, and time in a…read morenursing home in Torrance (which was not a good one!), I finally arranged to move my dad into this wonderful house in Anaheim. From the first phone call, Kathrina was extremely helpful. She assisted me with everything needed to get my dad moved in; including the transfer from the nursing home to their house, all the paperwork and logistics. My dad's mood and enthusiasm improved immediately. They provided everything he needed, including his own room, physical therapy, food, a full time staff, and doctor care. It was such a relief knowing my dad was in such good and caring hands. And the cost was more than fair, especially considering everything they were doing. My dad celebrated his 84th birthday there, and Kathrina threw a little party for him, with cake and even gifts! It was wonderful. She always made him feel at home, and kept me informed of his condition, responding to my texts or calls right away. Unfortunately my dad never really got his strength back, and passed away on April 5th. But Kathrina arranged for hospice care and transportation to the funeral home. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It felt like she was an angel watching over him during his stay, which gave me and my sister great comfort. The service provided by La Palma Home Care and Kathrina was absolutely amazing. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I received a phone call stating that the only other classmate I had for the ACLS/BLS cancelled, and they would be moving my ACLS/BLS date to the next week, so that I could take it at the same time as PALS. I was absolutely fine with this. Upon returning their phone call, I was informed "The only other person in the PALS class just cancelled, so this is now considered a private class. We charge $200 for private classes." I already paid (WEEKS prior) and they were asking ME for MORE MONEY because someone ELSE cancelled their class. Another student canceling their class is not my problem. I did not sign up for a private class, and yet they wanted to try and charge me for one due to someone else's scheduling error. This is an absolute scam. I have been an ER Nurse for 10 years and have never experienced anything like this.

I finished my renewals today with Vincent and Larry and have to say they were great. Very friendly, informative. The facility is very nice and equipment was in good condition. I definitely recommend this place if you have to renew BLS or ACLS, just be sure to bring a jacket/sweater because they keep it pretty chilly inside.

My son is on the Spectrum and I receive services through regional center for respite care for him,…read moreand this company is the approved service. The first person they sent the first time my son ever had care was a self medicating diabetic who came to the job with low sugar and passed out. Paramedics had to be called. When I called them to say what happened they said they didn't even have emergency contacts for her on file. It took over a year for them to find another person who could come one day a week after school. I specified any day. But they never had anyone. When they did, she was great. After 2 months she said she couldn't come anymore. Another year goes by and they finally find someone. At this pointu sin was too thin due to ARFID issues. I explained to her we needed to get weight on him. I was taking a college class and when I would get home he'd be asleep and exhausted. Next day he said his legs and arms hurt. The next week I set up a nanny cam since I wouldn't be home. She was having my son do planks and other calisthenics!!!! She did t even ask if this was okay. I had her removed fromu son's care. Another year goes by and I finally find a friend of the family. So she jumos through their hoops for bothering process. Took her a month of CPR class. Orientation, etc none of which was paid. Then she starts watching son, I sign the timecards and 2 months later she has NEVER been paid!?? We have been back and forth and they keep giving excuses as to why they haven't paid her, trying to blame her and the regional center saying things I was able to prove as untrue. This is probably what happened to the other great lady that suddenly couldn't come. We kept calling and every week for 6 weeks we were told she'd be paid and then wasn't. So now she won't want my son because she hasn't been paid. This company is a joke! I don't even want to give 1 star. Shame on them for not paying their care providers.
