Very overpriced Korean place in Niagara fall area. It's in the middle of nowhere feels like a family owned small place. I ordered pork bone hotpot there are 5 pieces of bone the pot looks big but really not much inside, a small portion of clear noodle. The flavor is good but not for this price, Also ordered bibimbap that's super tiny good for one person only. Service was off, one person running the show and hard to get attention to add food or get napkins.

This is a bit of a hole in the wall type of place. Very unassuming. They had a fair amount of people constantly coming in and out. We started off with an order of seafood pancake. Wow, this was amazing. Large pieces of mixed seafood inside the savory pancake. The entire family loved it. The tofu stew was also very good - had a good amount of spice and lots of soft tofu. The pork bone stew is highly recommended. It's massive so plan on sharing with multiple people. It's brought out in a giant pan, with a burner under it. Full of veggies, clear noodles and a mountain of pork bones. The pork was soft and falling off the bones (I thoroughly enjoyed eating/picking the meat off the bones). Stew had lots of deep flavors (you'll want to order a side of steamed rice and/or ramen to eat with the delicious broth).

I feel extremely lucky to have found this place during our trip to Niagara Falls Ca. It was our first time in the Canadian side and it was extremely difficult to find something to eat that wasn't a complete rip off. This place isn't in its usual touristy route, but guarantee it's worth the extra 5 min drive on our way back to our hotel. Looks can be deceiving. Upon first glance, you wouldn't have noticed this place with its simple building and a small open light sign. We decided to try it anyway. So glad we did. We had ordered the ramen, the beef bulgogi, the pork Katsu, the galbi, the pork belly and a plain egg fried rice. The portions were fair and filling!!! The prices seemed as high as everywhere you went near the Falls. I wasn't opposed to the sign stating they will add a 15% gratuity. It seems everywhere in Canada was an extra fee for everything, including walking. The place deserves it and especially our waitress. She was a nice lady, a bit flustered as she had to do multiply task at once. She handed us our water pitcher immediately as we sat down and off she went to run food to the table while bussing another shortly after. After we ordered, the food came out quick, steaming mouth watering hot. If you are a bit bourgeois, and expect 5 star kiss your butt hotel service, then this isn't the place for you. Too bad, as you'll be missing out on some delicious food. Something we didn't know at the time, but you pay up front and not at the table. All in all, I would make this my first stop when I come visit the Falls again.

    Kimchi stew, tofu bibimbap, soondobu

The kimchi stew is probably the most authentic one I've had in North America. The waitress is kind and caring and their menu has something for everyone! Their kimchi and side dishes are amazing, and as a native Korean I rate this place 10/10. Many vegan and vegetarian options. If you've never had Korean food go for a bibimbap for each person and a soondobu to share.

    A-1 Tofu stew. Good

The place is cozy and looks to be clean. The service was fine. I think she was the owner. I ordered two items to start. A-4 and N-3. A-3 is the rice cake in the red paste sauce. It was good enough. N-3 was not good. (Jjajang noodles). I have eaten this dish many time in many places and this dish was off. It didn't have the flavor I know and expect. It had a sour flavor and the noodle they used was crap. It looked like they opened a package of Raman noodles and used it. Cheap!! Not good!! Wrong!! I expect correct type of noodles when I pay nearly 20.00 for a bowl of noodles. I did not eat it and set it aside. I ordered a third item and told her I was not going to eat it. She had no concerns about why I didn't eat it. I didn't ask her to remove it from my check. The other big negative about this place is that they don't serve any side dishes. WTF!!! The side dishes that one enjoys is 50% of the Korean meal!! I understand that my noodle dish would not be served with sides. I also understand that my rice cake would not be served with sides but I ordered a third item (S-1) which came with rice, no sides were served. What!!!! S-1 was good. Btw, I am Korean and know how these dishes should taste. I would not visit this place again. No banchan, cheap ramen noodles. No concerns from owner about why I didn't eat a item I ordered.

Every time I come , I usually get take out. Finally I was able to dine in and taste the food right out from the kitchen! I was craving the hot soup. We ordered the pork bone soup, the beef bulgogi added with ramen, dumplings and the galbi. Food has always been amazing here. I wrote reviews for take out before, but eating here in person was such a great experience. Although the price is a little high compared to all the local Korean restaurants in Toronto, but they don't cheap out on the food. Generous amount and lovely flavours. There was kimchi , and seaweed as our side. If you want green tea etc, it's extra.

Yummy pork bone soup - so warm and comforting, served with white rice and banchan (kimchi, fishcake strips, etc.)

A great place to visit that is away from the noise and stress of Clifton Hill (but still less than a 5 minute drive from the main area). Tried their rice cakes, pork bone soup, dumplings and spicy bulgogi and they were all yummy (especially for a restaurant not in a predominantly Korean area). Their homemade kimchi was so delicious, we had to order extra! Highly recommend checking them out for a tranquil place to have lunch or dinner!

It's a small and very clearly family owned restaurant, it was super cute, the food was exceptional, and the spices and overall flavor was great. The food came out fast, and the level of spicyness was good, and overall would come back, if I didn't live 1371 miles away

Besides food trucks and tourist traps like the Rainforest Cafe, there weren't many options to choose from, especially within walking distance. We gravitate towards Asian food, so despite the low-ish reviews we decided to stop in since it was one of the only options nearby. Pyung Taik is cash only and closes relatively early at 7PM, so go early! We stopped in around 6:00PM and that was more than enough time to order, eat, and pay. It is a very humble establishment with minimal decor, seating, and not too many menu options; however, they have all of the classics and everything we ordered tasted wonderfully homemade. We ordered the seafood pancake, hot stone bibimbap, soft tofu soup, and bulgogi hot pot. All were pretty good, especially the seafood pancake and soft tofu soup--really flavorful and much better than the average Korean homestyle restaurant! Everything comes with banchan as well, and the owner often came by to ask if we wanted refills. Price was a bit higher than other local options, but I'd say compared to other places that were open at the moment and quality, it wasn't bad at all. Most dishes ranged from $12-20 USD, with the larger portion options around $30-40 (probably able to feed 3-4 people). I hope more people stop in to support! Seems like a lovely small business in an otherwise _sparse_ food area.

Very sad to have to downgrade my rating a bit based on my most recent visit…read more Just like the previous visit, they were out of bulgogi. Technically they had one left and we let our friend have it, but close enough. We ordered the galbi again. The meat is still very good, and probably the best thing about the restaurant. If I were only rating the galbi, it would be a 5. However, I had issues with both the banchan and the tea this year, and very slow service. The tea we got served first was barely tea. We couldn't tell by looking at it if it had ever seen a tea bag or just waved at one in passing, and due to the unfortunate language barrier, it was hard to explain to the server what the problem was. I like my tea strong, but at least to be able to see it and taste it. She eventually brought us more, and it was still fairly weak but this time there was a tea bag in there so we let it steep awhile. What it was though was nuclear heat wise; even after letting it steep awhile I burned my tongue. Yikes. The banchan were very lackluster. The cabbage kimchi was very standard but not standout, but the others ranged from mediocre to blah. There were underseasoned cucumbers, lightly boiled broccoli with a drizzle of (I kid you not) thousand island dressing, and mostly tasteless black beans. No radish, bean sprouts, fish cake, seaweed or other staple banchan. When we arrived, it was 5:30 pm and no other customers were present. Despite that, it took several minutes for them to come out of the back to greet us, and after we ordered a very long time to get food and tea (which we had to return...) As someone who lives in an area with plentiful Korean food, and who has learned to cook a lot of it in recent years, aside from the galbi it really was just "ok" and will probably fall out of our rotation when visiting the area.

We had preordered everything but our drinks. We mostly all got cocktails and they came out with relative quick timing. The servers were attentive and listened to our requests for how we wanted our steaks or prime rib cooked. The sides were pretty good and included sautéed carrot purée and we also started with a small salad and fresh bread and butter. We had plenty of butter to share. Only complaint was the salad dressing was a little too light on the salad. Could have used more. Overall we had a really nice experience here. You can't beat the view of the falls and the revolving floor. Side note: It's a bit inconvenient to use the restroom here as the elevators take a while. We had some older ones in our group that I knew could not take the steep stairwell to the restroom. The restroom was clean though!

They answered questions not only about food but about tourism, peak seasons, and anything else we could think of while we were up there. The food was phenomenal and the Early Bird Dinner was a hit! We ordered the Prime Rib and the Cordon Blue, both were fabulous and our plates were practically cleaned when they cleared our table. In addition, we opted to upgrade our desserts to other desserts available on the menu. The view was phenomenal! I am scared of heights but it wasn't terrible, the elevator ride was tough but you're able to face the other way. With dinner we also were able to go up to observation deck, since it was early March it was absolutely freezing and windy due to weather on the other side of the falls. In the warmer months I'm sure it would be phenomenal to take a walk around the outside to look. There is the option to stay indoors as it's enclosed in glass when you first get off the elevator, there's also a gift shop at the top. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for a fun experience paired with a phenomenal dinner. The pictures do not do the flavors justice.
