Oh my gosh, who would've thought there would be an authentic Chinese restaurant in the Niagara Falls area. Hubby can't stay away from Chinese food for too long and luckily we found this place on Yelp. The restaurant is kind of small and cramped but don't let that stop you from their food! We ordered a signature Taiwan-style braised pork on rice, a plain veggie dish, pork wonton soup, and scallion chicken. Everything is made to order and came out pretty quickly. My favorite was definitely the braised pork rice. It tasted pretty similar to the ones I've had in Taiwan! After a whole day of exploring the falls in the cold the family was ready for some warm soup and Falls best delivered! We got the shrimp wontons with rice noodles. The wontons were delicious and the rice noodles were a nice change of pace from the normal egg noodles. We also got the Dan Dan ramen, spicy and packed full of flavor. While visiting the falls, my daughters and I wanted to eat lunch somewhere that was a little less touristy. After doing a Google search, we decided this one looked promising and the distance looked reasonable for walking. Well, it is quite an uphill walk from the Queen Victoria WEGO stop. About 20 minutes. Luckily, for getting back down, we noticed a WEGO stop on the blue line at the casino/hotel that was just a block away. My older daughter the dan dan ramen. Flavorful and spicy. My picky daughter ordered the chicken noodle soup and she finished most of it (which is saying a lot for my picky child). It's a good dish for someone who wants a lighter mild flavor. I ordered the curry crispy chicken, which was served with rice and soft boiled egg. The chicken was tender with a crisp outer breading, with curry sauce added at the end so that the chicken was still crispy and not soggy. All in all, a satisfying lunch. I'm veryyyy picky about Chinese food. It can only obtain 3 stars based on the standard of GTA Chinese food. The braised pork on rice is a bit too oily and flavourless. The store is small and packed...better for take-out. It was a bit overrated in general...if you are craving for Chinese food in this area and want to have a quick bite, you might have a try. read more

Falls Best restaurant is a hidden gem in the Canada side of Niagara. Situated amidst a Papa Johns and an Indian restaurant on a street corner, it's easy to completely miss the restaurant front which is only a couple doors wide. There's a parking lot nearby and parking is usually ample. Atmosphere (4.5 out of 5): Casual seating either in tables or at the low bar near the kitchen. They've made the most out of the small space, and it's quite cozy inside, reminding me of a family style kitchen and dining room. Service (4.5 out of 5): I believe this is a family-owned business, and the wait staff and chefs are all very nice. It felt almost like eating at a friend's family place. The menu is clear, and ordering is straightforward. My water cup was filled constantly throughout the meal (I drink a LOT of water) and the wait staff (who was just one lady) was very attentive to ensure everything tasted great. Food (5 out of 5): I had the shrimp wonton noodle soup with a braised pork rice on the side. The broth was amazingly flavorful and I was told it was clear stewed pork broth (and I believe it!). Just like my own family makes. The wontons were freshly made (the chef took out a covered tray of prepared wontons) which was a nice surprise (not frozen or pre-made) and were great as well. The braised pork rice was pre-made (at least the braised pork) which is understandable, and heated to order. Overall was very flavorful as well. I was very happy at how traditional these recipes seemed to be - it definitely tasted authentic. Value (4.5 out of 5) - Reasonable prices and solid portions overall - you won't leave here hungry. Highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you're in the area and craving some traditional authentic Chinese food. Small place not far from the Hilton Fallsview. It isn't much from the outside but the service is great and the prices good. I had a spicy tuna roll and Taiwan-Style Braised Pork on Rice. Both were good but the tuna was a bit different than I expected. It was white instead of pink, but it was still good. My husband had the beef brisket ramen which he said was also good. Comparing the surrounding expensive restaurants, Falls Best is very economic with top notch quality and quantity. Highly recommended. Service was very good. Staff are friendly and helpful.
