KTKD is such a amazingly wonderful place I'd strongly recommend to all my friends and their family, whether for kids or adults. We stumbled upon this Dojang while shopping around for my 7 years old son's summer activity. After experiencing 4 sessions of family class with my whole family of 4 as trial, we were truly impressed, humbled and inspired by their energetic yet fun training program. So I enrolled my 7 yr old boy and myself. We've been training in this school for 6 months now and reached green belt. My boy is building up his chest muscle and has visible 4 packs on his tummy, which is making him proud everyday when he's taking bath. To the boy, he's started his journey on becoming a Ninja and martial art master to fight evil and protect his family and friends in a zombie apocalypses. As for myself, I lost 15 lbs weight in the first month and got back in shape again after 10 years of desk job. The physical changes are almost instant and literately can be felt through each and every training session. My very 1st official adult session, after putting my dear life on the line trying to keep up with the class and sweated away half of my body weight, I was crapping out on the floor and seeing stars in my head. The head instructor Master Kim came to me and said to me: Trust me and give me 1 month, I will build up your stamina. And 1 month later, not only I shook off 15 lbs fat, not only I sleep much better at night, I can now punch and kick and not to worry about getting my butt kicked by my fast growing boys, well, not so much. KTKD is a good place to keep kids (or adults) busy and committed and start a wonderful journey in. The second you walk in the door you will be surrounded by the traditional Asian culture, polite, humble, respectful, friendly, and yet endless energy. Instructors are all very skillful and helpful in or out of the class. Kids will start to learn more about respect, discipline, courage and confidence that their school or home may or may not lack in teaching. There is no reason not to checkout Korea TKD because they have an introductory offer that lets you do just that, check it out! I can't speak highly enough of this Taekwondo studio. - Last yea, my 2 children started taking classes at their school once a week and when that ended, we switched to the studio. Then, because it was the schedule my family could accommodate, I signed us up also for family class so I take classes with them now too. Honestly, I'm kind of addicted to family class - it makes you realize how often we are driving kids to things and then just watching them do things. The experience of learning together has brought us closer and honestly it's just joy-filled. I'm so grateful to have met the different families in family class and to be learning (and sweating!) together. The ratio for student to teacher is also excellent and this allows for the teachers to be very patient and thoughtful and analytical. They get to know you and they help each and every student progress from wherever they are to the next step. There are three of us in my family taking classes, all with very different natural skills sets, and we are all moving forward at a pace that works for us. And - there really are just too many little details to mention all of them-The waiting room has a big bookshelf and a nice area to sit - Students waiting for their class can get to know the other students or families or read a book - no whining, no video games, - all a good community feel - This is just one example of one little detail among many positive details this company attends to in order to provide an excellent service. read more

My youngest son is a shy boy. He always hid behind my back when he is in unfamiliar surroundings. In the beginning, he cried when he was doing stretch, and when he did not know what and how to do the kicks and taekwondo movements. He cried when he felt his body hurt. After a year training in KTKD, he can do whole split, he kicks high, and he has become more outgoing and confident. Now he is in demo team, he learns to be responsible and be a part of team. In each class, there is always one Master hosts, and one Master and a couple of instructors assist. They give each kid a fair attention and individual instruction. In the class, kids will do exercise drills; learn basic taekwondo movements and kicks. KTKD masters make classes fun and at the same time, they strength their bodies and minds. read more

My son started taekwondo this past summer. He had an interest in Taekwondo after learning one of his friend was doing it. So, decided to give it a try as I have heard so many great things about this place. My daughter did Taekwondo in 3rd at PS 242 and that's another reason that I would like my son to try out. My son absolutely loves and enjoys Taekwondo and all his masters what he has been taught so far. He has shown more confidence in himself and he is always practicing at home or anywhere to make himself better. We couldn't be in a better place to take Taekwondo. My husband and son attend classes throughout the week and really have a developed a fitness mentality! My husband started at 260lbs of weight and is now down to 160lbs through hard work at this Taekwondo Studio. My son has also embraced the same mindset at a young age and I look forward to see him grow up healthy. What I'm saying by mentioning these praises is that they both have focused to be better students here. Since the Masters are so engaging and push their students to be better, they both cannot wait to attend the next class. Very friendly environment and family oriented. Our kids have been coming here for 4+ years and we can't say enough about how much we love it! Our daughter and son both gain so many different things. KTD builds respect, confidence and strength with everything they teach. My kids have a chance to have fun, shout ("yes sir!"), be physical and exercise, while still building focus and respect. It's so clear that all the instructors (including the student instructors in training) really care deeply about the kids. This place has been a safe haven for my daughter and me. We found out about it from my daughter's school, so we decided to give it a shot. We signed up for a two week trial and never looked back. We've been going here for a year and it has been the best decision we've made for our physical and mental health. The instructors are very supportive and encouraging. The community has also been an amazing source of inspiration. All the parents and kids we've met have been loving and kind. We try to make it to every class we can. My son and I are very happy with this taekwondo school. We have been with KTKD for couple years now and what a big difference it has been since day one. I am a stay-home mom, and never did any sports or any kinds of exercises. I started taekwondo last summer. I had been watching my husband and my son doing taekwondo for a year before I decided to join them. In the beginning, it was hard for me to do all the training drills. We were introduced to them through my son's school and it's my understanding they are the only school who is affiliated with the Board of Education and it shows why. my 2 grandsons have been training in this school for over 2 years now. They come to visit me once a month. At first they were just like every other kids, making mess whenever they get a chance. But slowly I started to see changes in them. They are much better behaved and disciplined with great manners. And they can't stop talking about their Taekwondo classes and demonstrating to me their Taekwondo skills. They have built up some chest muscles and abs at age of 7 and 9. It is very impressive. At first, my husband, my two sons and I attended their try-out family class. After we finished try-out class, my 7-year-old son signed up 3-year program and my 5-year-old son will sign up next year.
