I have attended classes on Sunday mornings so when I talk about my experience it's for Sunday mornings bright and early, gotta love those annoying morning people(yep that's me ‍) So when I attended my first class I was a little nervous hell im no spring chicken anymore, I'm old my joints should be oiled for flexibility but what the hell let's give it a try... I walked in and found I wasn't the only old one lol no offense there were people of all ages. I found my little spot for my mat in the back by the corner. I always like being in the back so no one can see me and how awkward i look with some of these poses but secretly in the back of my mind I'm also wondering if my cheap Walmart Yoga pants are showing my ass every time I bend over or as my son calls it "going invisible" Lord help the person doing downward facing dog behind me and happen to look up and see more than they bargained for ‍!! So I'm getting into the poses the instructor has now succeeded in making me feel relaxed forgetting all my insecurities. She is wonderful love love the instructor!! I can go on and on but let me get to the review great place it's clean, accepting, judgement-free, reasonably priced ($10) a class and a starting place to become one with you‍

Classes tend to be small, ranging from six to twenty people, and generally everyone gets some individual attention, especially those who have less experience or experience trouble getting into the poses. The first class is free, and after that $14 each, although teachers, students, and military personnel get classes for $9. Classes are definitely a physcial challenge, both to strength and flexibility. The only real improvements I could see would be a larger practice area and a bigger changing area/locker room. I'm a guy who sweats a lot, and if I need to go anywhere after a class, the best I can do is a baby-wipe shower in a one-person bathroom.

Since this was my first time at this studio my first class was free (drop-ins thereafter are $10 I believe). The clientele was a bit older for this class (as in past their college/grad school years), I'm not sure what it's like for the traditional classes. Kimberly the owner was very friendly and welcoming upon my entrance and "registration" (they have you fill out a release waiver). The studio is just one big room, with storage and one bathroom in the back. I brought my own mat, but they do provide all other props free of charge (blocks, blankets, sandbags). Unfortunately my asthma flared up and I started having a coughing fit during the wind down of the class (gah so embarrassing) so I excused myself to go cough in the bathroom, when I returned to my mat, Helen had put a few tissues and a cough drop down for me annnnnnnd eventually had to give me a water bottle. Although I was embarrassed, I really didn't feel any judgement. Thank you!!!!!! The class was excellent, very relaxing and a nice change (very good for the lower back pain I was having). Amsa also offers basic flow, vinyasa flow, deep stretch, yin yoga, and gentle stretch as well as special events led by out of town yogis! Check their Facebook for updates. I highly recommend!

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is definitely a vibe with its dope aesthetic. The class that I took was challenging and definitely pushed me but man was it worth it. Our instructor went at a great pace and I was a fan of the room being a warm 85 degrees. So if you're in the mood to push yourself in a new way this new year, come check them out here at Studio Fire I'm sure you'll absolutely love it!

I like the yoga/barre weekend classes, and apparently everyone else does too. I can rarely (almost never) get in. I'm waitlisted every time with 12+ people ahead of me (and that's signing up several days in advance). It's important to know that you get charged a credit ($20-$25 ) if you don't cancel 48 hours before class. This policy means you can't get on 2 waitlists in the same day. So if you don't make it out of the waitlist, you have no other option for the day. It's frustrating when you're dressed in yoga clothes anxiously watching your emails to see if you got in. Wait list denials come an hour before class starts. So you're all dressed up with no place to go when you get denied... which is 90% of the time for me. It's a great place but there aren't enough classes on the weekend to meet the demand. Would also love to see noon/lunch time classes during the week.

I've only been to their main location which is on Bluff Road and 10 minutes away from the Vista area. It's in a stand alone building and as soon you enter, you see a small giftshop and a front desk which an employee warmingly greets you. They have a men and women's area that you can change and some small cubbies that you can use to store personal belongings in. The main yoga room is fairly large and can fit probably around 30 or so people at max capacity. My favorite class that they have is hot yoga. As soon as you enter, you feel the heat and high humidity against your face. I wouldn't recommend this for beginners though, as it can be challenging to do some of the poses and deal with the heat. Be sure to bring a water bottle and keep hydrated. At the end of every class, they give you a cold lavender towel to put on your face which is really refreshing. My favorite instructor is Kyra and her classes fill up quickly so I recommend signing up online for the class to save some time and to show up at least 15 minutes before the class starts so that you can have a good spot. As I attend USC, I only have to pay $9 for each class so it's very affordable for students. There's a small fee to rent their yoga mats so I recommend bringing your own. They also have water bottles for sale at the front. I recommend this place whether you're an expert to yoga or just beginning!

absolutely love this place! I started coming here in order to change it up from my usual 5 am gym…read moresession. I have always loved yoga, so much so that i did 200 hour teacher training course and am registered with yoga alliance. i so wanted to get back in to a routine of increasing my pratice after a long break. I searched everywhere for a place that offers yoga at 5 am, and as many of you yogiee know there jus isnt anything at that time in the morning. I ended up coming across Bikrama yoga aka hit yoga, and thought i would give it a try. The location isnt the greatest, meaning its hidden, and if you are not careful you will miss the parking lot completely! Parking isnt bad, i usually park in the back behind the building, never had any issues that early in the morning. As i mentioned earlier i attend the 5 am class MWF. Doors are usually opened 15 mins prior to the start of class. inside you can expect to find a cute little studio equiped with showers and all. Mats and yoga wear is available for sale inside the lobby area, (but it is pricey) the actual class takes place on the other side of the glass door. The studio is lined with mirrors and balance bars similar to what u see in a dance studio. The floor is carpeted and the heat is turned up! Class starts promptly at 5am. The intructors are knowledgeable and lead you through a hour of different poses that flow together openning up your heart and mind. The tempterture keeps me sweating and my bones warm allowing me to get deeper in my poses, this yoga def gets you sweating and burning those calories, and jus as you get ready for Shavasana they give you an ice cold wash cloth laced with essential oils to help cool you off and relax. I highly recommend this place.

The entire intro experience was welcoming, fun, and less intimidating than expected. My first class I was shocked at how quickly we went into an upbeat, music-synced aerobic routine - very much like what we called an "energizer" in school: easy to follow and fun to do in unison with a group. There were small reps with provided stretchy bands, light handheld weights (I went with 2 lbs for my first class), and these squishy playground-type balls. This all sounds easy, but halfway through class, my legs were uncontrollably shaking and I had sweat visibly dripping off of my face onto the floor. The next day I could barely move my legs. Low impact, high reward! I've now been back 10 times this month and don't plan on stopping! Highly recommend!

The hour long sessions go by quickly and are a great combination of traditional barre workouts while incorporating cardio and light weights (2-3 pound). I had taken classes at another barre chain in town and never felt like I was truly working out, but Barre 3 will make you sweat and feel like you're time was well spent with an effective, fast-paced workout. The instructors were very helpful and offered modifications for beginners, intermediates, and those who were experienced during the classes.
