It is one of the better 24hr gyms I've been to... it has free weights (including kettle bells), machines, multiple squat bars, TRX bands, and even a crossfit rack downstairs, and all of the standard cardio equipment (as well as punching bags and even the JACOB's LADDER) upstairs. It has a loft style feel to it. There is one shower in both the male and female bathrooms for those wanting to workout before work or during a lunch break. There are 4 TVs upstairs but cable has not been installed yet (they're working on that). The peak hours are usually M-F 4:30-8pm. I think it's a great little addition to the booming main st!

I am so amazed each time I come here with how tidy everything is. The price is great only $20 a month and you can come anytime, literally! The cardio is upstairs and offers treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowing machines, and even a mountain climbing machine! There are punching bags upstairs as well. TVs are upstairs and music plays throughout the gym. Downstairs there is a free weight area, TRX area, and machine area. Literally everything you could need! Weights belts, boxes, and all the attachments for the wire! Love this place and so happy we found it!

So one thing about this place, it's not your average gym; not like a planet fitness. There are more diverse equipment here to hit various body parts, but it's also older equipment. Think of it as the "old school" gym. More experienced or serious lifters come here, so keep that in mind. During the summer time, we all know how hot South Carolina can be, but this place has no AC; just a giant fan in the middle of the ceiling. It's not bad at all during the winter, it's cold enough outside where the inside is still cool enough to work out comfortably in tank tops. Only reason why I didn't subscribe to this place was the price. It's pretty expensive and not even open 24/7 without the extra amenities other gyms have. If you're going for the vibe, definitely the place to be. Plenty of parking so no worries on that.

The equipment is much improved, in both quality and quantity, and I like the floor plan much better now. I really like how they've added Olympic-weight dumbbells (such as 22.5 lbs), as well as multiple stations for bench press and squats. Because of this, you don't have to stand around and wait too long for somebody else to finish their set, which is a much-appreciated upgrade from Muv. Although I don't do as much cardio as I should, the gym also appears to have an extensive selection of treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, row machines, etc., that you can go upstairs and use. The locker rooms are nice as well, to include a sauna that I've never personally used, but which seems like a good option to have. All-in-all, OneLife Forest Acres is a really solid gym, which is much improved from its previous iteration as Muv Fitness. Because of this, I would recommend getting a membership here, as well as choosing this location over other OneLife's to work out at. Also... The staff is the most capable I've ever experienced in dimness knowledge and guidance. I travel around the globe and I'm in many fitness centers every year and I've never seen a match with regard to staff knowledge and down to earth training guidance. The people that go to HA are respectful of each other and take pride in caring for equipment and watching out for each other. The equipment is no-nonsense effective and easy to use equipment. I train with a trainer and on my own. A+. If you're any age or sex and are serious about getting fit in a safe environment. This is it. I will never understand the relationship between a sauna and retirees in the nude. I guess I need to wait another 60 years and I'll have some sort of sweaty, fleshy, disgusting epiphany.) I know they offer personal fitness classes, and they have massage therapists with reasonable prices, but I haven't used them (yet) and I'm not sure how good they are. This place gets VERY warm in the summer. A/C occasionally goes out, but since the other two gyms don't even have A/C, it's better than nothing. Remember to bring your DoD ID, they'll need it to scan you in.

We visited it yesterday (Friday) afternoon so that we could get our ID card registered, so that we could have 24hr access. This is an awesome option because it allows us to take advantage of everything that the gym offers anytime of the day. This is an older facility but the staff does an excellent job of maintaining the gym. We enjoy the gym because it has an indoor basketball court, extensive weight room, cardio room, 1 coed sauna, 1 female only sauna, male and female locker rooms.

I signed up for the 14-day trial and on my first day I felt absolutely so awkward & uncomfortable. This studio is definitely wasn't for me. I didn't feel welcomed by the other boot campers and felt like their are cliques. Would not be going back. I might give Burn Boot Camp in Lake Murray a try.I love that there are a options in the Columbia area such as Studio Fire and Yoga Six that'll be trying out next.
