I have a carrier condenser and the motor for it should be widely available at most hvac supply houses . They send one of their highly qualified rip-off artists who proceeds to tell me he'll do it for $1800. I just started laughing at him and realized what kind of company I was dealing with. I used to do plumbing and hvac in the eighties. The only reason I called a company to come over is because I'm 73 years old now and had a recent liver transplant and throat cancer a few years back. But I still planned to do it myself but I can't buy the motor at a supply house. Which is why I decided to call a contractor. Oh boy I wish I had read the reviews. Just my luck I called a company whose "techs" are a fleet of out of control thieves . I'm not sure if they have the owners blessing to be out there robbing people for whatever they can get away with but it's a good example of why you don't want to put your techs on commission if you won't keep them under control. So anyway I did find a motor that would work at Home Depot for $149 but the mounting was all wrong so I spent 3 hours retrofitting it. Then it took me two hours to install crawling in and out of my house with my dry tongue dragging across the dirt and concrete. Just can't find good honest help these days.

Their advice, turn off my air conditioning to lower my power bill. Thats great advice when it's over 100* outside. FU PNM rep. I reached out to 4 different solar companies but couldn't get anyone to follow thru. I finally reached #1 Plumbing. I was able to get an appointment when the tech actually showed up and get an estimate on what it would cost to replace my inverter. The techs showed up when they said that would, fixed my inverter and helped me with the app. I am so grateful that this is done. Plus they were great to work with. Very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend them if you have any issues with your solar system. I'm already planning on having them come back to clean out my dryer vents.
