I searched around for a while, looking for a reputable company to paint the eaves and trim on my…read moretwo-story house. A friend who is in the trades recommended New Age Painting & Coatings. I checked their reviews and testimonials online and found them all 5-Star good. I called them, and a few days later, they came out and gave me an estimate that was over $1,000 less than the best estimate I received thus far. This estimate even included building a scaffold over the patio cover in the backyard. I gave them a deposit and scheduled a date. During that time, I received periodic updates and reminders letting me know that we were on schedule and what to expect. That morning, their techs were waiting outside promptly at 7 am. One prior estimate I received said it was going to be a two-day job, one day for scraping and priming and the next for painting. I assumed New Age would take the same amount of time, as this is not a little house. I was wrong! The New Age tech explained that they would have it all done in one day. They started at 7 am and by 2 am they were finished. If I had not gone outside a few times and actually seen them scraping, priming, and painting, I would have sworn they skipped over the first two steps, which, of course, they did not. Not only was the job expertly done, but they cleaned up after themselves like they were never there. When it comes to getting home repairs and maintenance, it's hard to get people to even show up on time, and even harder to get a job done well. New Age Painting & Coatings not only accomplished this, but they exceeded all expectations. What more can you ask for.

The pride and craftsmanship Jay and his team take are incredible. The attention to detail is also very evident in not only their work but even walking through the home. I appreciate that Jay took the time to come out to my home multiple times to give me different assessments and options. He walked through everything from a large touch up job to what a full repaint would look like (I went with the repaint option). What I appreciated even more is that Jay gave me multiple options and described the pros and cons of each. He even took the time to help me choose the best paint color based on his experience, and we are very happy with what he selected. I never felt rushed or pressured (even if I decided not to go with Jay and Straight Edge). I really appreciate that Jay did his very best to work around my schedule, and he even coordinated directly with other people who were working on the house at the same time. They even finished the job ahead of schedule (and set a realistic schedule upfront). I found out later they have someone help with project management, and it really shows. I'm not saying this is the case for every job, but I really appreciate that they touched up a few extra things as well and understood what a big cost this job was for me. I'm glad I used Straight Edge before, and I'm glad I used them again.
