Unfortunately, this is not the rating we wanted to give them. Darren and his sons are communicative and helpful. They are very nice people, however, the application of the flakes and the end result is the absolute worst epoxy floor I have ever seen. They are a family owned business which is why we hired them. We want to support small business. But unfortunately, the work is not good. The floor is extremely rough with very sharp edge's everywhere. You cannot walk into the garage with barefeet, you will need to goto the emergency room for stitches. You cannot walk in the garage with socks on... you will end up with holes in your socks and cuts and slices in your feet. The entire floor is full of clumps and extremely sharp pieces of flakes sticking up. Then there are spots with so much epoxy that it is now turning into black clumps. It's extremely bad. And forget about cleaning the floor. You cannot clean it. It's so rough and so very sharp that you cannot mop it, you cannot swiffer it. It's a complete $13,000 disaster. For the price of this floor, it should have been absolutely amazing, instead it's a complete nightmare. Yes, Darren offered to come out and attempt to fix it, however, there process time is so long. It took 5 days, we just cannot give up our garage and clear everything out again for another 5 days. It's just not possible. So Unfortunately, it is not a company I can recommend to anyone. Factually, The work and the quality of the work is just not there. I am not sure where they went wrong with our garage but it is not good. It's not average. It is very bad. I will include as many photos as possible. Just take a look at the pictures, you can see the end result in the pictures. We are sad and disappointed. This family owned business is outstanding!! I went on Yelp to inquire about a full flake epoxy floor for my 2 car garage. I spoke with a few vendors and most increased the price when I requested full flakes. Lucky for me, Darren from Nu-Tech Flooring responded to my request. Darren was very detailed when explaining the application process and Nu-Tech Flooring also filled the seams for a more smooth look. Nu-Tech Flooring price was very affordable and the finished product by Brady and his brother is amazing. The garage floors were completed on April 2, 2022. Today 9-5-2022, Nu-Tech Flooring power washed, cleaned and sealed our driveway and front door walkway pavers. We have a new construction home built in March 2022. Nu Tech uses a process that's more in-depth and detail-oriented than the "other guys," and is light-years beyond the do-it-yourself kits you'd find at a home improvement store. When I found out they even coat the concrete lip around the interior of the garage as part of the finished product, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only does it look great, but I was very impressed at the level of attention I was given. When my house's foundation was poured by the builder, it wasn't done evenly and there were some wavy spots. After Nu Tech did the floor, this caused some of the sealant to pool in the low areas. I contacted Nu Tech and they were out the next day to make it right. Their willingness to correct something that wasn't even their fault separates them from the endless list of amateurs out there. When we purchased this house, the garage floor was saturated with motor oil. We got several quotes from companies that only did a three step process and they all use an acid based cleaner to remove the oil. A friend recommended Nu-Tech Floors because they do a thorough five step process with no harsh chemicals to remove the oil. I called Nu-Tech Floors and spoke to Darren who is the owner of this family owned business. The next day, Darren showed up promptly and explained the five step process which starts with grinding a fine layer off the floor to completely remove the oil, all seams and cracks are filled and 50 pounds of flakes are used to beautify the floor. The price Darren quoted was surprisingly better than other companies that only do a three step process and Nu-Tech Floors use industrial materials, not the store bought kits at your local department store. When I agreed to the quote, I was scheduled the next day for work to begin. It took five days to complete, which is normal for the materials to cure. Darren and his two sons showed up every morning on time and worked until each step was complete. This floor is so beautiful the pictures don't do it justice.
