A wonderfully charming step back in time. Almost all original fixtures, which means a bit of wear in places. Impeccably clean rooms, firm beds, patio chairs for enjoying an evening drink outside. Friendly and accommodating staff. Delightful!

This is such a cute, retro motel. I don't usually rate motels because they're so generic and uninteresting. This place however is different. This is a family-owned motel. The place is very clean and every morning they make your bed and replace your towels, refill your cookies and mint. Inside the room, you are also given a good number of amenities. You are provided with a cable tv, coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, and a very spacious room. The bed is also firm and nice. The bathtub is also spacious. You definitely will not feel cramped in there. They also offer free wifi. The design is very retro. According to the owner, when he renovated he kept the original style of this place. They also have lounges outside your room so you can hang outside. They also have picnic grounds available.

This place looks like it was frozen in time, but impeccably clean! I was welcomed warmly at the front desk and the check-in process was pleasant and fast. Our room was so clean. Even the baseboards and bathroom grout were spotless. The bed wasn't the best I've ever slept on, but everything great about this place makes up for it. Their website doesn't tell you, but check in is "usually some time after 1:00" and check out is "usually around 11:00" according to the polite gentleman at the front desk. I would definitely return again if in the area.

View from the motel rooms up on the hill. They have chairs outside where you can take in this view. Peaceful.

I held a memorial for my ex-husband, attended by our daughters, their families and close friends who were neighbors of ours for years when our kids were young. Each of the 5 upstairs bedrooms accommodates 2 guests (more if futons added) and has a private bathroom and door to the balcony. The kitchen is amazing. You can bring in food or cook. There are also large living and dining rooms. You can walk on paths on the 175 acres and enjoy the 2 Japanese oak baths on the lower level. I couldn't have found a nicer place to share memories and spend time with those close to me and my ex. We sang, cried, enjoyed the baths and shared meals and memories.

They are now a vacation house rental; only one group can occupy the house at a time. We were a group of four who visited Pembroke Springs Retreat in the middle of August. Because we were the only group in the house, we took full advantage of the baths. There's nothing more relaxing than a full soak in the warm, mineral-rich waters. They offer one meal per day if you rent all five rooms; we only rented three rooms. But that gave us access to their amazing kitchen. They have fresh mountain water which tasted smoother than any city water and made incredible green tea and coffee. On checking in, we spoke to Lisa over the phone who was very helpful and friendly. Because of COVID, everything was over the phone. But Lisa answered any questions we had immediately. We were also happy to meet some of the dogs. :D

My mom talked about this property for years. She lived in Pennsylvania and attended a wedding and…read moreshe was always convinced I'd love it here. I was living in California and every time I'd get back to the east coast, she'd suggest going here. Unfortunately, we never got to experience a visit here together after she suddenly passed from an aggressive cancer. It became my goal to come here and visit with her on my mind. Years later, I moved back to the east coast and booked a random weekend just for fun. I'm married now with kids so we made the drive here to experience all that the Omni had to offer. I've stayed at other Omni resorts and I wavered on what this place would land on ratings wise. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a lot of history that I loved learning about. My kids absolutely loved the indoor pool. It is as gorgeous as the photos look. It's a nice spot, especially when it's a chilly Pennsylvania day like when we visited. With that said, there isn't a ton to do here with kids. It was the perfect amount of time for us, but met other families who were struggling to keep their own kids occupied. There are some really nice trails around the property, which are perfect. And you can also check out some free toys and games from one of the shops inside. That said, if you don't have great weather, options can be limited. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa, but the space looks amazing from what I saw online. The rooms were spacious and well set up for a family. We ate at a few of the restaurants on site. Service was mostly on point though the tavern was really off. Our server was perfectly friendly but pretty much messed up the entire order. I would go back but not sure I'd be eager to rush back anytime soon. We did enjoy the experience but I think a few bumps could be worked out such as helping with our luggage upon arrival. We were able to valet but couldn't find anyone to help us with the bags and the rolling carts don't easily go over the front door to get inside. Between me and my partner, we were able to make it work. But it's those small details that make a property really stand out.

Afterward, we had lunch at the Frontier Tavern, and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff we interacted with went above and beyond to make our visit special. From the spa to lunch, the entire experience was memorable and truly exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, and we can't wait to come back again.
