UPDATE -- We got our new HVAC installed by Joseph!!!…read more Backstory: We are so incredibly happy that we met Joseph for our HVAC needs. Our HVAC system was 19yo and completely shot since we moved into our house in May 2021. We first reached out to Joseph in June when we couldn't stand the summer heat. He told us that a complete replacement would be necessary (which we had already suspected and wanted) so that all made sense. He walked us through in detail about our current system, what parts are malfunctioning, and why a complete upgrade makes the most sense financially. He also showed us pictures of our attic and the old ductwork that was torn apart and needed to be replaced. Joseph was so professional and thoughtful throughout that entire process and first time meeting. The project estimate was completely reasonable considering he would be replacing our furnace and AC unit, enlarging the air return vent, upgrading all duct work in the attic, and installing an indoor air quality filter. After some discussion, we decided that we wanted to be able to fund the replacement completely and told him that we'll be in touch when we were ready to move forward. Fast forward to December 2021 when we finally saved up enough money. By this time, we weren't sweating from the summer heat but freezing our butts off from the winter cold! It was consistently around 50deg in our house and practically called Joseph in tears, happy and relieved that we can move forward with the installation! He came to re-inspect all of our equipment and re-quoted us based on updated costs (which we 100% expected because of the current supply issues). He also walked us through rebate options to help save money. His team came out the following week and completed the entire project in 1 day. They protected all the floors and themselves, were super friendly and professional, and completed the installation despite running into a few tricky spots. Joseph taught us how to efficiently heat our home and the ins and outs of easy maintenance. We literally celebrated that night turning the heater on and experienced actual comfort in our own home for the first time this year. I cannot recommend Joseph enough for his professionalism, value, and overall excellent customer experience. We look forward to having him back to maintain our new HVAC system for years to come :)

They were very careful and returned our yard to normal with minimal disturbance. We also had to trench across the street to run conduit for a new electrical line. Emigdio was with us every step of the way from the preconstruction meeting with PG&E through the compaction tests required by the Department of Public Works. He went above and beyond to get the work done, and his crew is very friendly and respectful. He was honest and fair, easy to get a hold of, and the ONLY subcontractor on this project that actually did what he said he would do without upcharging us. Leandro is eager to show you what customer service is all about, and I guarantee you, he will impress you, because he sure impressed me. I filled out a service request yesterday to have my ducts cleaned after finding out I had severe water accumulation in the crawl space of my 34 year old home. There was significant mold and mildew involved and I was told my return duct had water inside it, so I haven't had my downstairs furnace or A/C on since the first week of March. I got the water problem solved, so I explained to Leandro, I wanted all my ducts cleaned and sanitized, but if he was too busy to do that right away, if he could just do my return duct ASAP, that would alow me to run the A/C and the rest of the ducts could wait. He responded immediately and said he could do the 1 duct today, but not all of them, I also signed up for his annual service program after his rapid response so he also did the full clean and inspection of my upstairs A/C unit which has been doing double duty for the last two months. But here is where he went above and beyond, I was told by a plumber I had hired to inspect my gas pipes under the house, about the small lake under my house, he found and saw the duct was semi submerged, he went above and beyond too, he lifted up the duct and said it was heavy with water. I did not know how bad the return duct was affected by the water, and Leandro knew this, he went under my house found the duct and opened it up so he could see inside in both directions where a sheet metal connecter was. He said it did not look like much, if any water was inside the duct, it had pink insulation wraped around the outside of the duct that was soaked with water and was heavy because of that, but no mold or mildew was inside the duct, what a relief! He took pictures of everything, and then re-connected the duct properly, and proceeded to clean and sanitize it. He did all this without adding any extra charges to his original quote for today's work. That peace of mind was worth a lot to me, and I told him so. Crawling around under any house is difficult, my house is particularly difficult, the crawl space is extremely tight, tearing apart a duct, and putting it back together under there is hard for me to even imagine. This is the kind of service you can expect to receive from Leandro if you fill out a service request with Thermotec HVAC Services, and if you do, you can thank me later.
