The other company had me waiting for more than a month. The other reason is because Super Bros was super communicative and explained the whole process before it started, asked lots of questions about my preferences, and was incredibly transparent about every details and process. My primary point of contact for this job was Jeremy. He was actually another reason that I went with Super Bros, as I never felt like he was trying to upsell anything or push me into doing something I didn't want or need. He was clear about where there were options and where he has seen challenges from a project like mine in the past. His experience and demeanor were what locked it in for me. After agreeing to use Super Bros, the next week I was met by Mike, who walked through with me as he was point on the project. I work from home so I was around for the entire thing, but I can honestly say that there was barely any disruption to my workday. This other company came back and told the home warranty company our condenser needed replacing, and one coil in the furnace. The unit/brand the home warranty company wanted to use for replacement was inferior quality, so I opted to take the credit from the home warranty company instead of replacement. The original HVAC company then told me that both the furnace & condenser needed replacing and quote a much higher amount than they quoted to the home warranty company (a different story than they told my home warranty company). I asked them about it, and they said they were "doing what's best for the customer". Not likely. Here is the part where A&M came in to save the day.... I contacted them and they came out quickly to provide me a quote, and told me up front that both condenser and furnace needed replacing. (Not a surprise here...both were older units). They quoted an incredibly fair price for a great quality unit that I couldn't say no to. They offered me a temporary window unit in the meantime, which I declined but was so grateful for the offer. What a great amenity! Their number one priority was my comfort! They arrived on time come installation day, and did a great job! Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.
