It was pretty packed in there we were greeted at the door immediately and sat immediately which was nice. We ordered the French onion soup and the burger. Im not sure why I ordered the French onion soup considering we were going to France. Anyhow it was not how I pictured it or how it's made in the US. The soup had two pieces of bread on the top of the soup served with two slices of brown bread on the side. So there wasn't any cheese on top like what I'm used to. The only cheese was the very small amount that had on the small pieces of bread. Well I thought guess it's made different in Amsterdam. It was actually bland it needed salt, I guess maybe because im used to it with lots of cheese. It was still good just not what I was expecting. The burger was something else, it was delicious. They cooked it perfectly it was full of juiciness and lots of good flavors. Simple burger with toasted sesame bun. The fries oh the fries, it was so crispy and good, I couldn't stop eating them. Service was great. Overall good experience and if you're in the area nice to have a late night spot.

For instance, I got a burger and fries which was good but my friend got a salad and it was small (not really worth all the money). But they give a lot of food on the good chicken sate so it's just different in sizes. Either way, it's a nice place to go when you want to be a little more indulgent.

The staff was charismatic and genuinely helpful with the menu, taking time to explain dishes and give recommendations without ever rushing me. I ordered the black charcoal ravioli, which was rich and unique, and also tried the beet ravioli. I loved their creative take on raviolis. They were colorful, fresh, and full of flavor. The presentation matched the taste, and both plates felt thoughtful rather than gimmicky. It's the kind of place where you can relax into the atmosphere and enjoy food that's both beautiful and satisfying. Perfect for a slow meal with friends or a solo stop when you want something a little different.

This delicious spot is off the beaten path of the more touristy spots in Amsterdam, located on a quiet side street. We absolutely loved our meal - with clear influences from french, asian flavors, and italian. We started with a delicious amuse bouche by the chef, followed by the "pate" and fresh bread. It was earthy and good; a solid start. Our main dishes were truly a treat! We split one of the gnocchi options - the tomato sauce was delectable; I truly could have licked the bowl - and the black mushroom ravioli - so much delicious umami flavor! We ended with the peanut butter brownie and, let me just say, I am UPSET that we decided to split one instead of ordering our own! The service was a delight - they were so kind, clearly wanting us to enjoy the experience!

I watched him take two dough balls put them in the pizza oven and cook them to a crispy yet soft bun. He then added beef (chicken is also available) lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. You have a choice of the white garlic sauce or their spicy sauce at the table. I like them both but a little more white than spicy. So yes I'm a Doner freak, honesty this was absolutely delicious. I'll be having another one very soon I promise you.

Step up Sinbad, you are up next. The food is solid, good value for the money, but not outstanding. We both had the chicken wraps and shared a side of fries. The chicken was a little dry, but the garlic aioli and the hot sauce added some bite and some moisture to the both of them. The hot sauce tasted like Sriracha to us, but we were unable to find it while in Germany, so maybe it's a NL staple. You order at the counter and go sit after choosing your beverage if you want one. I bet this place is hopping later in the evening, but it has queues at 7:30 PM while we were there. There is no ambiance to speak of, it's spartanly decorated with tables and chairs. If a new deep fryer and donair spinner are decor, there you have it. It is straight forward good food for the right price and it's delivered to your table in mere moments.

This conveniently-located (just a stone's throw from Centraal Station) eatery boasts many options (all vegan, too!), but there really is no contest--the falafel is awesome. It's hot and fresh and perfectly seasoned. It comes in a warm and pillowy pita. You get access to an incredibly inviting salad bar with which to top your masterpiece. There are sauces galore. (Try the ones that are labeled hot chili if you like a pleasant bit of tongue-tingling goodness.) Prices are reasonable, and though the place was hopping, it was easy to find seating, which is available inside and out and is clean and comfortable. I went for an early dinner (I have no idea how long I have been awake), but this would be a perfect lunch spot. They also have freshly-squeezed orange juice. While I didn't try it, there's a giant juice press in one corner of the space--it really adds to the "fresh vibes" of this place.
