I was very relieved and IMPRESSED to see the many safety precautions put in place at the Best Little Hair House in Belleville, IL, to limit the risk of virus spread! :) All of the old carpeting has been replaced with new flooring that is easy to clean; All stylists are masked and clients are expected to wear masks; No one hangs out in the reception/waiting area anymore; Clients don't come in until the stylist is ready for you; Your stylist comes out to the parking lot to take your temperature before entering; Once inside, clients must wash their hands; Each client gets a freshly laundered covering; When the stylist has to stand over the client while washing out their hair, a towel is placed over the client's face; There are no more overlapping of clients, where a haircut might be done for one client while another is sitting with hair dye on; And the stylists' individual counters in their work station, which used to hold many products, have been cleared for better cleaning. I really think they have taken absolutely every conceivable precaution to keep their clients and themselves safe! A 5-star experience! Oh, and the stylists are very talented and nice, too! Barb has been our stylist for many years now!

Don't leave a negative review. If u do so and they dont like ur review they will ban u from…read moretanning even though u paid 100 bucks to tan in a certain bed and "after my review that was nothing but the truth but not pretty) if i coulda talked to the owner, other than this woman who evidently didnt care if u got what you paid for or not. I'm sure the bed would have been fixed much sooner and I would not have had anything negative to say but its but all the reviews from people, good or bad was erased. There is only 1 review today and all the other reviews are gone. .After being tolled that this bed and another are the same.. ummmm no they're not, i asked to speak to "Bob" the owner and no, she wouldt call him because he basically doesnt care anymore.(I'm wondering if this what they tell all the unsatisfied guest) anyway i never got to talk to bob, i got to tan in the one i had been asking about since the very day i bought the package, it still wasnt fixed but hey, aftet 9 tans, they finally fix it and now im banned.., i made a review that wasnt nice and then im banned.. because of the action I took, wich was the truth and maybe this way. 'Bob will see it and get it fixed. Well it got fixed, after the negative review i posted and im banned. He doesn't know what I went thru to tan in this bed.. f the FACT that im pretty sure this manager thing really truelly believes that its the same bed even though one sprays a wonderful cooling mist and the other does NOT..(im guessing my review that is isnt here any longer was the action I took afte the fact i was tolled these two beds are the same) that made me blue, its delusional. It makes me question. What her reality is because in my world, when one sprays and one doesnt, there not the same bed. 10 tans that only 1 of them was in the bed i paid i payed for.(mind u, they fixed the broken bed i was asking about, let me use it 1 time when i have 2 weeks left and i guess im supposed to chalk that one up to the game and not get half my money back for the 2 weeks i have left. It's cool, it's just money and maybe, JUST maybe the next time someone wants to tan in a particular bed, they'll have it fixed before they decide to write an ugly review so they can get the owners attention..

I held off writing this review because our town desperately needs businesses to succeed. I do want…read morethis salon to succeed because the area needs revitalization of businesses. Business that don't consist of title loans, used cars, pawn shops, beauty supply or cheap cell phones. I was wanting a cheap cut and color. This salon is in an old Great Clips and has been several salons since then. It is a bit dark inside. The ladies who work in shop have owned a salon in town before. My stylist did good on the color. The cut she did ok on. It was not exactly what I wanted but it would do. She seemed to have a good client base. While she was doing my hair, a few people stopped to ask when she would be available. My appointment was at 1pm. I called saying I thought I would be a few minutes late. I got there at 1p. I sat there til 1:20p, might have been 1:30p. She was next door at picking up a few items. I don't think I would have taken a star away had it been 1:10p or 1:15p. I was getting ready to leave when she walked in. She was professional and did a nice job. If I go back and think I will be a few minutes late, I don't think I will call. I don't know. I don't spend a lot to get my hair done. I am lucky to get it done once a year. I haven't decided yet if I want to go back here, or to one of the more expensive salons. I am not above inexpensive hair services. I am in no way a hair snob. I am just picky about what I want and how I want it done. If that comes from a cheap or pricey salons, I really don't care. Like I said she did an ok job. I don't know if I'm ok with ok.
