What I left with was a chemical war zone on my scalp and hair that looked like it had been through a haunted car wash. The stylist completely botched my color. It was patchy, uneven, and flat-out fried. I looked like a spaghetti squash that had been left out in the sun. Worse. I went back to give them a chance to fix it and it somehow got even worse. The stylist acted like they had never seen a toner in their life and honestly seemed like they were not in a sober state to be handling bleach or scissors or any other living creature for that matter. I ended up going to another salon just to undo the damage and they were horrified at what had been done to my hair. After spending over six hundred dollars and enduring two appointments from hell, my hair is still damaged beyond repair. Think straw with commitment issues. Do yourself a favor. If you value your hair, your time, or your dignity, run in the opposite direction. This place should come with a warning label and a fire extinguisher.

And I'm very particular about my hair length and how I want it, my hair is insanely thick, textured, and grows fast so it is a nightmare to do any regular upkeep. I just recently moved back from the military so I've moved around a lot the last few years, and honestly I've never had a haircut anywhere else that comes anywhere close to what i get here. Since moving back to the area a few months ago, I have gone to Sue's twice (once with Michelle cutting and once with Brittany) both experiences were so therapeutic and wonderful, the first time I had Michelle do some thinning and get my split ends fixed but I kept my length and she did such an amazing job at keeping my length but also getting those split ends trimmed up. This last time I told Brittany she has full rein to do what she thinks my hair needs, since it's so thick and being down to my butt it was soo heavy I was getting headaches and I literally just used to throw my hair up every single day bc I couldn't manage it, I'm a long hair girl and always have been, so when I told her she can take as much as she thinks would be best I was so nervous, but LET ME TELL YOU she did the BEST thinning I've ever had, layering that is so clean and somehow lines perfectly to the contour of my wavy texture (because sometimes layers with waves like mine causes some weird frizzy poky ends) and she gave me a little face framing. My hair has legit never felt or looked this good in my whole life, I wear it down and style it all the time now because the layers she gave me are so perfect I can do straight, or light curls, or let my natural texture go. It has been yearsss since Ive actually loved my hair, and not had to fight with it every single day. And just the experience here is always so nice, im literally counting down the days until I get to go back and get my haircut again bc it's like a form of therapy for me.

Multiple reddit threads and FB groups later, I saw enough recs for Kyra that I was ready to give her a shot. The salon itself is so cute and eclectic--the coolest thrifted decor! And I was greeted with an offer for a drink and gladly took a hot coffee on a freezing day, which was a great way to get started. They were easy to work with and did a great job I had 5 bridesmaids, my mom and me all in need of "wedding hair" and these ladies delivered! I like how they traveled to me for this since I didn't want to be spending my wedding day traveling to and from the salon! So yeah, Dani and Erin have become a part of my Saint Louis family and I'll continue to support Drew Henry! I go every 6 to 8 weeks for my haircut and occasionally I get some color added. I gave her a picture and she could not replicate it. She placed one of the highlights right under the part in my hair so the highlights didn't really show and they were not done all the way to my roots. After I was done, I looked like I got my hair done at least a month ago. I was not happy, but I was not going to complain about it because I didn't want her to try to fix it.
