I have seen a lot of very famous people come by and I have seen them bring in a local talent. They even play local musicians on their radio station, can you imagine getting your big break especially in your hometown? They play a lot of commercials, but do some good programming. Their country is less Nashville, and more Austin, highlighting artists from the Texas area. They play a lot of the classic country as well. The DJs take requests and give local weather and traffic updates throughout the day. The radio presentation is slick and professional, with nationally airing ads played regularly. They also hold the annual KokeFest, a celebration of KOKE. It's some big country bands! I enjoy how many of their songs are about drinking beer, trucks, and prison.

These guys do a good job of spinnin' those discs and jamming those vinyl records. Being that they're an Austin City Limits radio station, that doesn't limit them to one genre of music. ACL music series- the show, and the concert series have had music all over the map. So if you say that you're an ACL radio station, you can really get away with playing just about anything, there's gotta be some way that every major artist is somehow associated with either the show or the concert series. If you don't like the genre of music, just like the weather in Texas, just give it a few minutes, and it'll change. I do get sick of the number of commercials that these guys play.

I get that it's for "lazy Sunday mornings," but I don't get those, okay? I need to wake up. Do stuff! Get going! This is precious me-time and I can't fall asleep in my car on the way to whatever it is that has me up at the butt-crack of dawn. Please, for the love of all things groggy, swap this timeslot with the punk or metal shows so I can use my weekends as they were meant to be used: awake! At the very least, bump the Brit-rock show later so Chillville hits mid-day when the coffee has had time to kick in--and not a second before!

This is a Christian radio station that makes no compromises. Sure, there are things I wish were a…read morelittle different -- like I wish they would give the names of the singers or bands or even the names of the songs they play, but I also understand that they are working on a thin (though strong surviving) shoestring budget and they are not here to advertise anyone's name other than Christ Jesus. I used to find this channel hard to listen to because they asked for money SO often. It's especially hard to listen to that when you wish you could give them all they needed and can't. But this year I have checked them out again and they are no longer asking for money all the time and I can relax and really enjoy the excellent programming of Christian music (most songs of which I have never heard and have no idea who is singing them) with a wide spectrum of variety of Christian music, including (less often) songs sung in Spanish praising the Lord, and even rap and hip-hop. There are a few songs which I'm kind of tired of hearing that are obviously the station masters' favorites, but hey, I can't complain. I am VERY impressed by the sermons they play on this station. I have found them incredibly sound in Bible doctrine. I do wish the sermons would be rotated more often. The repetitions on this channel keep me from just leaving the radio on all the time on this station. I can only handle just so much repetition -- and those who are programming the channel don't seem to realize that some people would listen to them 24/7 if they would add a LOT more variety in songs and sermons. Hey, but beggars can't be choosers, and we are living in a famine of the Word in our world today, so I'll take the crumbs and still give it 5 stars. This channel has been running in Austin for some 30 years and I am very, very grateful to those who have made it happen -- and without hardly any commercials ever. (They have allowed one or two commercials through in the six years I have listened to them on and off, but I haven't heard even one commercial this year -- though I, again, do not listen all the time.) When I give this channel a 5-star rating, it is partly because I'm grading on a curve. While it is not in my opinion the best it could be, at the same time it is the best Christian station I have ever listened to!

I ordered vertical banners for our medical clinics through BuildASign. During the design process,…read morewe updated our graphic, so I went into my cart, replaced the old file with the correct one, and placed the order. Unfortunately, their print department must have seen both files in the submission and printed the wrong one. When I contacted them, I was polite and willing to work with them. I even offered to ship the banner stands back so they could just print the correct file and reinstall it. Instead, they insisted they had done everything right and told me the only fix was to reprint (not me sending the bases back but doing the whole project again) -- and that I'd have to pay for it, minus $500. They are more concerned with short term margins than long term relationships. That's not acceptable. I didn't make the mistake -- they did. A company that won't take responsibility for their own printing errors isn't one I'll be doing business with again. If you're looking for a printer for large or recurring orders, find one that values accountability. BuildASign doesn't. I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere.
