I had an Amazon return that had to be taken to Kohl's or Whole Foods. What a pleasant surprise when I entered Kohl's as I've not been there forever. Light and bright, merchandise tastefully displayed and nice wide aisles. Of course I stayed to shop (kind of the idea, right?) My guy found a great jacket, we checked out a vacuum I thought I wanted (too heavy) and then stopped in Sephora. It's a satellite store so it doesntt have a lot of variety. I did find a new color eyeliner (for me) in the brand that I like (less than the competitor). Unfortunately, the shade I tried and loved on my hand didn't work for me. I stopped back a couple of weeks later and found a color that was fantastic (60 day is their return policy). There was a 50% sale on selected prestige brands that day too. Checkout in Kohl's. The line was huge (black Friday) but it seemed to be going fast. An employee pointed out self-checkout - awesome. Five minutes and we were walking to the car. We will be going there again soon. I did not come to Kohls to shop. I came because Kohls is the closest approved Amazon return location to my house. Amazon returns made easy: I showed the photo I took of the QR symbol Amazon sent authorizing the return, the gent behind the counter could not get a clear shot at it because I took a blurry photo. Fortunately, I also took a photo of the shipping label from my return email and the bar code there was readable with his device. His machine printed up a shipping label which he slapped on my package and then it printed up my receipt. The biggest problem with shopping online is returning the merchandise if it doesn't live up to expectations. Kohls makes Amazon returns simple, friendly, & easy. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Kohl's. Today, I went shopping with my grandmother, who is an elderly person and not great at math. After my grandmother paid for her items, she politely asked the cashier if she could help her figure out how much 30% off $19.99 would be. The cashier made a dismissive face, clearly indicating she didn't care to help, and just said it was around $6 off. My grandmother thanked the cashier, but as we walked out, I overheard the cashier telling her colleague, "girl, if you can't figure it out" This is completely unacceptable behavior. My grandmother was not rude and was simply seeking help with a math question. Regardless of how "stupid" a question might seem, every customer deserves to be treated with respect. Where is the customer service? Super disappointed with this experience and the lack of professionalism. This store is a mess. They keep moving the Amazon returns area to different areas of the store, probably in an effort to make you walk around and find something to buy. It's super aggravating. Then you find the returns center and there's no one working there! 5 minutes later some old man wandered over, didn't apologize for wasting everyone's time, and started processing returns. Very good selection. Good prices in store and on line. Lots of discounts, coupons. Favorable service. Convenient and plentiful parking. Good from appliances to clothes to electronics, home goods and more. They provide parking spaces for on line pick up, but the pick up location is a throwback to the old days where you have to walk through the entire store. Hope they come into this century and locate the oick up in the parking lot/curb side or at the very least in the front of the store. read more

We went to Kohls specifically for Levi jeans. Found them. Signs said" buy one get one 50% off and another said all Levi 505 jeans 34.99". Selected my size, tried them on, and stood in line to purchase. Line moved along quicker than a snails pace. When we got to the register they rang up at the original price of $49.50. I mentioned to the cashier that the sign said "all 505 jeans were $34.99". She said she would ha e someone do a price check. The price check happened fairly quickly with the person coming back and saying yes, there is a sign that says "all 505 jeans are $34.99" but that's an old sign so the price today is $49 50." When I mentioned that she should honor the incorrectly posted sign, she refused. We left her with a sale to food and the jeans to put back. read more

Love this store! They always have the best sales! Great place to gift shop. From clothes to kitchen items to bedding, you name it, they have something for everyone! Unlike many department stores this one always seems to be organized for the most part and I can always find what I'm looking for. Well maintained and nice staff. So I've come here a few times, each time gets worse. A lot of the cashiers sit there and talk about their personal lives in front of customers, and I saw one lady begging to get a credit from a customer. If you have a Kohl's charge card you will get better savings mailed to you every week. Things always seem like they are on sale but we know that prices are marked up too high to begin with. That's why I won't go in with out an extra 25% off card that they mail out. I like going to Kohl's for their household items more than anything. Although I'm in my 40's I like the selection of clothing they have her for Young Miss buy they run very small. The selection they have for "older woman" are very frumpy and out of style. read more

This was a typical Kohl'store. My wife and I went in to return a few things and spend a free $10 we got from Kohl's for my birthday. The service desk workers were friendly and the store was arranged in a reasonable manner. One thing I did notice about this store was that the men's clearance racks seemed to be overloaded with XL and above. Took a look at the merchandise, nice stuff, mid-priced. Not sure what store to compare it to. Much better than Sears, perhaps along the line of J.C. Penney? They have quite a selection of clothing for men..nice summer shorts but, again, I've seen some of the things priced lower at Walmart, Ross, etc. My main focus was getting an application from customer service. There was a line there and one woman running it. She worked fast and efficiently however, always saying thank you to the customer she was dealing with. I liked what I saw. read more

If Kohl's had a Kohl's Tour Bus, my wife would be the Guide. She loves all Kohl's stores, the selection, prices and discounts, and always does a great job with her purchases at Kohl's. She also has convinced her friends to give it a try, and they normally agree this is the place to go. This store is always in disarray and unorganized. It's sad because it's not the standard of a Kohl's stores that I am used to going to in Sarasota County and in other states. Probably one of the worst one's I have been in to, and I have shopped at Kohl's for over 20 years. Their employee's hardly ever make eye contact and are not that friendly. Just an overall unpleasant shopping experience going here so I have decided I will go to a different location. I gave this store 4 or 5 chances to straighten the store up and organize their products a little better, but every time I go back it's always a mess. We went to this store in hopes of finding nice clothes for my new job. I have had good luck here in the past but this trip was a disaster. To begin, everything was the wrong spot. I could not find anything. There were pants with jackets, dress shirts with t-shirts. If it looked semi organized there were skinny pants with trousers, capris and bootcuts. Then when you try to find someone to help you find something, no one is around. Someone please organize this store and get staff members that actually do their job and help people. I worked in customer service for 15 years and know full well that if it weren't for the customer, I wouldn't have that job. So if you buy something and get the $10 cash back deal, then go back when you can spend it and use your 30% off coupon, stuff is practically free. I am always impressed by the care I receive as a customer when I shop at this location. I have been to different Kohl's stores since I was a kid and this one absolutely has the nicest and most caring workers. Plus this location is always clean with merchandise well organized. I realize it's a smaller store yet sometimes the shelving of merchandise seems a little too close so that would be the only thing I can think of for improvement. I recently moved from Bradenton to St. Petersburg. The most popular store in Bradenton is Bealls but moving here I've discovered kohls. This store is incredible. I have become quite a good on line shopper and I have ordered numerous packages to be delivered by them. I have never had a problem, the projected delivery date is right on the money. I don't own a kohls card and i don't get pressured to get one. The sales can be stacked and there are many. I ordered my whole Christmas on line and had everything shipped to the states where my family lives. Such a savings on top of their already low prices, and super discounts. Your greatest asset is a young man by the name of Benjamin! All the clerks are helpful, but there was something extra special about this particular gentleman. He was not only helpful, but courteous, and went the extra mile to offer service. On two occasions Benjamin didn't ask If I needed help, but offered to walk me to my car when my purchases were cumbersome. His employment with Kohl's may just be a stepping stones to future endeavors. Someone will notice what I noticed and keep their eye on him. He is young; but without a doubt, whether he stays with Kohl's or changes careers, he'll do well. Benjamin genuinely likes people and enjoys serving them--two assets hard to come by these days. wandered around the shoe dept for a while looking for sneakers & found nothing reasonably priced. Lots of Nike's but Nike sucks. Way too many boots too. Found nothing. So headed to the clearance section of ladies activewear. Not sure what in world $39 for a long-sleeve T is considered clearance. Or $19 for a sportsbra. And socks? a 5-pack of never-heard-of-brand socks are more than $10. Wow. Thought this was kohls not nordstroms. Sale signage is very confusing. Priced as marked then the fine print says additional discount given at register. So which is it? Is it $39 then 75% off then another 20% at register? Huh? Not shopping with a calculator. Sure makes it hard to shop not knowing what the price is until you checkout. The ladies clothing styles are terrible. The patterns and styles are just awful. The juniors styles are seriously slutty, tiny, skimpy and childish. Juniors are young ladies, not wanna-be strippers. and this is FLORIDA for cying out loud! Ditch the huge jacket and boot selection. And where the hell are the hats?!? Baseball-style hats. Ballcaps. Whatever you call them, there is nothing at in the way of hats except ladies knitted hats in accessories. Was in the store looking to use a giftcard for over an hour and not a single sales person or employee asked if I needed help finding anything. Final thought: It is sad that a store like this only gives discounts to people who qualify for their store card. kinda discriminatory there. read more
