Tyrone Square has a nice indoor play area for kids, it's a fun place for little ones to run around and play. But a word of caution to parents: please stay alert and watch your children. During our visit, there was a couple present with no kids of their own, just observing the children. Sadly, in today's world, you can't be too careful. It was also concerning to see so many parents distracted by their phones instead of enjoying the moment and keeping an eye on their kids. Predators can use other children to lure yours in, so stay aware. This can be a safe and fun space, but only if we all do our part to protect our children. read more

Poor Tyrone Square Mall, you are now just a shell of your former glorious self! Indoor malls were great fun during my youth, and the once-mighty Tyrone was one of my favorites. Now with Amazon and other delivery shopping choices, I understand keeping any mall "alive" and vibrant is difficult. So I recently popped in on a December weekday evening, in hopes of buying my annual Christmas keepsake ornament for a loved one. The Hallmark store is now gone! I walked the length of the entire mall, in case it had moved. Nope. Gone. The mall was DEAD, especially considering this was Christmas shopping season. There may have been as many as just 50 "shoppers" inside. A lot of storefronts were boarded over, and many of the existing stores were not mainstream, branded ones, but felt a lot more like fancy versions of booths at a flea market. However, the outside mall establishments, mainly new restaurants were quite busy and their parking lot areas were nearly full. I have my doubts good ol' Tyrone Square Mall will exist like this for much longer. As I walked the mall, I could almost feel it dying. I believe it will likely one day soon turn into the more common outdoor "strip mall," just like the once-popular Gateway, Pinellas Square, Seminole, Largo, and Clearwater malls have transformed into. It's a shame but all things change with time. I have many happy memories of the old Tyrone Square Mall and wish it a happy future, whatever it may be. read more

This mall allows kiosks and also certain storefronts (like Signature Perfumes--they've got 2 locations at this mall--BEWARE!) sell fake products and perfumes. When I called Signature Perfumes store worker out on it he refused a refund and insisted they were real. I compared with a real one I bought from Macy's (which was properly sealed, unlike Signature Perfumes products). read more

I haven't to Tyrone Mall in many years and it seems that things have really changed. As with most indoor malls, there are a lot of empty store fronts. Overall, the mall was clean and well kept. The food court had a full assortment of quick service restaurants. Most notably, there are a lot of restaurants located around the mall and are in a short walking distance. So, if you're unhappy with the selection of offerings at the food court, look around the exterior of the mall for more options. read more

Went to the mall last night for a mini date night. Didn't realize how mini it would be! Someone tell me these changes are just due to COVID and will end. The whole place shut down around 7. Many of the food court restaurants were trying to close before then. The Loft closed at 6! The website says the mall closes at 8. Even still it's so early for summer! The place is generally clean, sad to see so many places gone though. I still like going to malls! read more

This place has really went down hill ever since they removed the Forever21 and replaced it with Rue21; such a downgrade. Honestly I only come here for H&M and the food court because all of the other stores are just "ok". I would love to see an upgrade in the layout and more trendy stores catered to a younger crowd, but until then I'll keep driving over the bridge to Tampa to shop. read more

This mall provide shelter for hot weather in Florida. It was great to walk under roof with cover and climate control area. This mall has typical store and not so typical stores. The typical stores include the Old Navy, H&M, Victoria Secret, Rue 21, and more. But I am more interested on the not so typical store such as Play Live Station, SP Shoe Palace, Spencer Gift, Naples Soap Company, Torrid, Atomic Tattoo. These store are the fun part of the mall. Play Live Station is cool set up with black light set up. The Spencer Gift has some unique gift item that is interesting to visit. Torrid is a plus size dress that look good on the plus size women. This mall is still enlarging to include dick sporting good, pet store and more. Movie theater is at different building that not connected. Food has some selection on the food court. There are some restaurant chain located here. read more

Tyrone Square in St. Petersburg is a great mall that is well maintained and has a great collection of stores for everything that you need in shopping for those on your list. I like the food court and overall atmosphere of this mall and have had a good shopping experience every time I have been here. read more

A decent selection of shops and restaurants, but an odd layout for sure. Some restaurants aren't accesible through the mall & just share the parking lot so this is a mall within a shopping/eating center. I've never had an issue finding parking here, despite it always seeming to be decently busy. However, shaded parking is nonexistent so don't get your hopes up. The mall has a mix of chain stores as well as some local businesses, my favorite being 321 Books. Charlotte Russe just went out of business so that store closed as did Brookstone back before Christmas, but most of the storefronts have a shop in there so you can still wander around on a rainy day or go on a shopping binge just as easily as you can run in for a quick trip. The food court has a decent amount of variation with a macaron shop, Asian options, a Hooters, and more. I haven't tried any of the outside restaurants yet, mainly because of the odd layout/lack of connection or the mall, but there's definitely plenty to pick from. read more

I scheduled appointments online 2 weeks ago for my husband and I who have dual insurance. Since scheduling we have received numerous texts to pick an earlier appointment. We picked 5pm and 6pm due to our full-time work schedules. On Friday my husband received notice they had cancelled his. Saturday afternoon they texted that mine was cancelled as well. I called to ask why "Pam" stated I can reschedule you for an earlier time. I asked her to please explain why I was cancelled, She stated we can't do two exams right in a row. I said you are not my husband was already cancelled. She could not explain why I was now cancelled. Obviously this eye doctor prefers 10-3 patients and his/her production is not important or their patients. read more

I went to the mall today to buy a shirt at Dillards (fine store) but also picked up a gift card in the Mall carousel for Bed, Bath & Beyond. Went into the mall office to pay for the card ($50.00). The young lady took my debit card and charged the $50.00. However, the gift card would not register. She told me the card was probably bad, but she could not refund my $50 but would have to send everything to "corporate" for me to get my money back. What a joke. To me that is tantamount to stealing. Do not pick up any gift cards from the Simon Mall carousels, you may lose your money. read more

Just your average mall. There are plenty of places to shop and a few restaurants to choose from if you are hungry. It's almost always clean and there is a food court to eat in as well. There are plenty of people that walk through the mall day in and day out. If you go before the store openings, you will see the mall walkers. Within the last year or so, they added a Dick's, Lucky's, Longhorn, PetSmart and a Five Below. This was quite a nice addition to refresh the mall. They also added a Movie Theater which is always busy but so nice! There is plenty of parking throughout the mall parking lot. read more

Went to a rack that says BOGO. picked up 2 items: a sundress marked down to $9.99 + a t shirt marked down to $9.99. Thought 8 would pay $10 & get both but nope, sundress rang up full priced $29 & t-shirt then free. Sorry but that not what BOGO means to me. Put them both back & left with the joggers only. I went to the T-Shirt station at this location because I was in dire need of a customized shirt for a concert in just a few hours. I couldn't have been happier with the results and the shirt was a big hit at the show. The girl I interacted with at the counter was excellent at helping me pick the correct size shirt. The only mall in St. Pete fl, offers a varied selection of items for every member of the family. It is not a rather bad mall and is one of the oldest in the Bay Area that hasn't been hit by overpopulation of empty store fronts. I frequent the mall for the great clearance items that can be found at almost every store that you walk into. My motto, why pay full price for last seasons clothes, when you can get them for up to 50-70% off regular prices? I usually come here to window shop, but when I do shop, I usually can find what I need without breaking too big of a hole in my pocket. Unlike most places, this one is still in its original form and location, there have been major add-ins over the years, such as new restaurants and new stores that have filled voids. I am never bored when I come here and if you are the type to snub your nose at the common man's clothes, then Tampa has a mall that can perhaps break your wallet and your heart, but me, I'll stick to what is tried and true and continue to support my local mall. Just wish they would go ahead and build another movie theatre though. read more

This mall is like a little joke. But maybe I'm spoiled with malls after living in Toronto where the malls are great, and after living next to Aventura Mall which is amazing...!!! This mall really has no good stores! The food court is small, with only few options. Ok, there is Macy's... and Starbucks. But nothing else that I would like. Sears, Dillard's, JC Penny's - no, thanks. Dillards is one of the worst stores with bad customer service and no return policy. There is no real Sephora (except small counter at JC Penny's that sell really small selection), no Nordstrom, no Bloomingdales - I suggest going to Tampa or Sarasota (UTC). read more

This is the only shopping mall in St. Pete/Pinellas Park area. I used to go to Countryside Mall in Clearwater but since I have moved to St. Pete, my mall options are usually International Plaza, or Tyrone Square Mall occasionally. This mall consists of Sears,Dillard's, Macy, jcpenny , Victoria's Secret, A&E, Gap, H&M, Express, Food locker, Hollister,Old Navy, Hot Topic and Bath & Body works. While their food court is not so appealing: Subway, Chick-fil-A, sbarro and a Chinese takeout. However they have 4 restaurants in the mall: Ruby Tuesday, Hooters, Lee Roy Selmon's and Bone Fish Grill. The dine-in restaurant category exceeds the one of Countryside Mall and the vice verse goes to the food court options. Would I get many stuff I need? Perhaps. But it feels like something is missing at this mall and I just do not like how the hallway in the mall is built...a lot of going back and forth to see every store. There are some other stores across the street like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Marshall's, Michael's, and Bern's and Nobles. read more

This mall is unimpressive. I only went here because I ordered something online and was returning a jacket to Christopher Banks (this is the only location in my area.) Since I was at the mall, I figured I would do some shopping as I do not get to a mall often. There are not a lot of stores that interest me at this mall. I did go to a few stores, including Macy's. This Macy's location is not as nice as the one at the Countryside Mall (my usual mall.) Also, Sears and Aeropostle are going out of business. I did go into Sears to see if they had Land's End clothing there but I didn't see any. It will be interesting to see what goes in Sears' place. I know they recently added a bunch of sit down restaurants, which I am sure improved the mall a great deal. I did use the restroom near the food court and it was clean. There is nothing really wrong with this mall, it just didn't have anything that I would go back for. read more

I personally love this mall... it is never crowded! The mall itself is a good size, it's layout is kinda like a swerve I. I would say park at the food court which is the middle of the mall. The mall splits left and right, both are dead ends so you have to walk back. Anchor stores are Macys, Sears, JCP, and Dillards. If you can't find what you want at the mall, there are plenty of stores within a mile of the mall. The mall has a few restaurants attached as well. Typical stores, they recently opened an H&M which is nice so you don't have to go to International anymore. LOTS of parking. Never crowded. read more

This is pretty much the only mall that you can go to in the St. Petersburg area. Honestly, it is a pretty cheap looking mall. The stores are on the lower end and there are a ton of retired and unemployed people during the day. I had to run in around noon on a Monday to get a new phone and it was surprisingly full of people. This mall is fine if you just want to go to department stores and a few others, but I wouldn't make this my go to mall for just browsing. Also, there really isn't any other food than the food court. All the food in the food court is basically fast food. If this was not the only mall in the St. Petersburg area, I would not understand why people would go here. read more

I attended the Mom's Nite Out Event at Tyrone Square Mall last night with a friend. We arrived about twenty minutes before the start of the event and got in line at the registration desk, which was already about 6 or 8 deep. The first 100 people to sign in at the registration desks got goody bags (we got them...contents were somewhat strange, but I liked the sleeping mask and funky jeweled costume ring. Would have liked to have seen a cosmetic of some kind...antibacterial lotion does not count). I was disappointed that there was no coupon or discount at Macy's in the schwag bag, especially since I ended up buying a skirt at Macy's after the event. I guess they got me! The event was held in the center rotunda of the mall in front of Macy's. It was very crowded, and since my kids and my friends' kids are now older, we were annoyed by the amount of strollers and husbands at this "mom's nite out" event. Oh well. Can't discriminate! However, we were happy to find a sanctuary in the Little Black Dress vodka area, where no children were allowed since they were serving alcohol. Yay for free vodka drinks! They had little shot glasses of four different mixed vodka drinks, all on ice lined up on the bar. No limit! We tried one of each variety and then one extra of our favorite...mine was the classic vodka cran. My friend also enjoyed a free mini-massage and she ended up winning a door prize gift basket from one of the vendors. There was lots of free food and a candy bar, all of which were very nice. I'd definitely give Tyrone Square Mall four stars for this fun, free event. We had a good time and it got us in the stores where we ended up spending money. Success all around. Thanks! read more

I took my 2 year old son to see Santa today. Santa was so lovely! However, the females taking the pictures/working with him set the whole experience completely off! They were all rude, careless & acted bothered at all the families waiting for their pictures. None of them seemed as if they wanted to be there. Myself along with others had felt that they ruined the vibe as they were disorganized, not managing the line appropriately, confused on who was doing what & when & 20 mins late coming back from their 'break.' Prior to, one of them shouted they were having printer issues & to come back 40 mins later, when everyone accepted the wait time & still stood in line to save their spots, another lady shouted, 'did y'all hear what she said?' Come back later. We will be returning to the mall but as far as visiting Santa, we will be going elsewhere next year. Also, the pictures were overpriced for the quality. Not worth $50+. Our pictures were blurry, some we accidentally blinked bc we didn't know when the flash was coming & weren't ready but the pictures were taken anyway. Very unprofessional!! read more

Literally just a mall. I would come out of my way to go to this location, it's just nothing special. A lot of the stores have closed down, the Mall staff is very kind and friendly but in general it's just kind of a gross area. I had worked there and nearby around Christmas was popping off gunshots... No thanks. I came here around 10 to 15 years ago and it was an absolute nightmare so I am giving it three stars because they did a nice job remodeling it, but don't let the exterior for you. Plus, it's a Simon mall property- if that says enough! The three stars are literally purely for the employees & the exteriors sake. I'd rather go to Tampa's mall! read more

This mall gets 3 stars for being clean, accessible, and convenient. Tyrone Square is one of only two enclosed malls left in Pinellas County. I've been going here since I was an infant, even working here for a while in high school at Hollister...lol. The mall is popular with mall walkers due to its linear layout; getting from one side of the mall to the other is quite the trek! Air has always been nice and cool, and management does a good job keeping the mall clean. The mall itself, though, is pretty dated and feels kinda dark. The movies here are really nice, I just wish that they were connected to the mall itself. Store mix here isn't bad. The standard JCPenney, Dillard's, and Macy's are here and Dick's, an organic supermarket, and a pet food store are coming to replace the Sears they tore down. I've noticed that the chains here tend to have less selection compared to their sister stores at say, Westshore, International, or Westfield Countryside. There always does seem to be good promotions, though. Food options are pretty standard for a typical mall in the food court, though I do like the outdoor section near H&M. Parking is never a problem. There is way more parking here than this mall will ever need. read more

Stores/layout: 3/5 stars I absolutely dislike the layout of this mall. It is so dang long and annoying to walk up and down. Most malls are set up like a square (Westshore for instance) or two-story. I just feel like I walk a mile to get to the other end of the mall. The stores overall are "ok". There's a Dillard's, Macy's, and JCPenny. I'm usually blown away by Dillard's and this one, for whatever reason, never impresses me. This mall has your basic stores and a few nice surprises like bath and body works, Express, and Francesca's, but if you're looking for the high-end stores, you might want to make the drive to International Plaza. Cleanliness: 5/5 stars I think the cleaning staff do a good job of keeping the interior of the mall, as well as the parking lot free of trash. 5-star experience based solely on the customer service & friendliness of the cashier, Jillian. My mom and I stopped in for outfits for her and shoes for me before a trip out of town. Easy enough to find what we wanted on our own without any help from associates, although I didn't see many on the floor offering customer assistance. Regardless, it was a pleasant experience thanks to the cashier Jillian, who was super nice (and super cute).
