Each gallery selects its own closing time, apparently, so we arrived before 8:00 at the Morean and were told that they were closing in ten minutes. At Florida Craft Art, the two women working literally turned their back on us (we're over 50- eeeeek!) and would not speak, so I was unable to buy the stained glass piece that caught my eye. After trying three of the six galleries, we'd had enough. Really disappointed.

The bad part is when we got home. The following day, I put on one of the hoodies, and it literally started coming apart at the seams. From the pics, you can see the extent of the unraveling. May be better off just looking and not buying next time.

Dress for the weather because part of it is outside and the inside space has a lot of people coming in and out so if it is hot outside, it is hot inside. There were a lot of cool vendors at the market. I was looking for plants that were different from what I already have. I have a lot of succulents and cacti, a couple orchids and some other random plants so a good plant sale is always a good place for me. In addition to the plants there were many other vendors with crafty items, or specialty items or jewelry. However, I didn't find anything that I couldn't live without. A cool part about having the market here is that you also get to stroll through the creative clay area and see the art that people there have made, which is also for sale. They also have some artists working wheels so people could see how pots start. I think I enjoyed this part of the market more than the vendor portion this time around but I know I will be back. There were also a couple food vendors outside but nothing spoke to me that day and since Three Sisters Brewery is a block from the parking area, I went over there to have a snack and a CBD bev.

I'm not sure if the market had grown since I haven't been in quite a few months or if there were more vendors due to it being the holidays but it seemed a little bigger this time. I love spending my money with locals! I saw LoudMouth Lips which is a fave place to get locally made lip and eye color. She had the most vibrant colors and I've found myself taking some risk on brightening up my makeup selections. I found some new folks too. An artist from the St. Pete area named Marcus who does some incredible mixed media prints. Some folks who sale yummy sausage and call themselves Crooked Johnson! Body Butters by Vanessa who makes her own lotions and colognes. The Sandoval and Amber smell fabulous. And one of my other faves for vintage clothes and accessories, Orange Grove Vintage. You can find all of these on Facebook and IG! So many awesome vendors! If you are in the St. Pete area on one of the Indie Flea Market Saturdays, stop by and support the small business and artists in your community!
